The ranch you're planning to go to probably has dogs with pups, or knows someone who does. Perhaps wait?
Thunderbolt Stables

In the past I have had a border collie aussie mix so I do understand the high energy and needing to be properly trained in order to be a functioning member of society
SandWitch Arabians

well, don't expect to get a good working dog, from joe blow down the road.
Find actual working dogs and get the pup from them.

And sharks gravitate to me which is scary
Figtree Stud
10:59:37 Fig
I've been attacked by a lot if heelers which is very weird fir me as I've been around aggressive animals and they never once tried to attack me

Fig

That's actually very true, my heeler ever since I got her she was food aggressive, dog aggressive and people aggressive and she was about 2months old. I had to nip that behavior in the ass or she would be am aggressive dog
Figtree Stud
10:56:35 Fig
Just saying from my pass experiences
Figtree Stud
10:56:01 Fig
Heelers are very protective and can be agressive
PoloStables
10:54:35 MightyMo
Another really good breed is the two mixed o have a heeler/border Collie mix and he doesn't listen as well as myheeler but he's bigger and less likely to get ran over lol
The Undercity
10:53:08 Dory
Yes :)

You should get a kelpie
The Undercity

Honestly I will probably be doing it all from cows to swathing
PoloStables
10:49:44 MightyMo
I personally would go w a heeler, but that's also becuz my heeler is very well behaved at 9 months old. I had a border Collie once and maybe it was just a bad experience but she wasn't the best ranch dog
Thunderbolt Park
10:49:44 Bolt
I use to live on a cattle transport place and there wasn't any other breed of dog
SandWitch Arabians

Duskmourn was up 3/6 today including int and his straw thread can be found here.

And this weirdo had a week 3; fingers crossed he's at least 5/6 next week!

Forgot to update, woops! My little weirdo was AU week 4 and if he continues on his current trend, I shall be making my partner name all my future horses like he named Glarnak LOL
