okay, so i don't recall if you were here or not but i made a separate thread where emily had inherited her father's estate in germany and turned it into a residential style training center. we opened up the storyline to say that things went well for them and she had opened up more locations across the globe. she worked with kholo to keep some staff at white oaks but others went to stadt with emily. rena took a job at the main farm in germany working incoming horses and placing them with riders at the other sites, alex went to canada, others went elsewhere, and so on. since we're accounting for the time it took em and tim to have kids, kholo's also aged, and emily (now in her 40s or 50s) has put julian in charge of charming kholo into selling the property to her and being there as a resource because it's too much for her to manage on her own anymore. eventually, emily plans to hand that one over to julian to manage himself, but i figure we can utilize all of this to create some drama. i'm open to whatever you guys want to do with your characters, but i'm thinking that i'm going to write in a handful of riders sent in by emily to work at that facility and help fix the place up in small ways. i like the idea that it's not what it once was, and emily, ever the idealist, needs it to be just as perfect as it was when she competed there in her youth. each of the riders has some little undercover mission that emily has sent them to accomplish such as minimizing costs, bringing attention to the farm, making new business deals, community outreach, and so on. will's insane so i'm gonna throw him in the mix too for the fun of it, but i think maybe a primary pairing that would be good would be a male character to match spencer, a gloriously accomplished showjumper who has strong opinions about her role on the property? some kind of rivalry type thing would be good, maybe someone who is suspicious of her intentions or something. even better if he's been at the farm for a while and doesn't love the idea of emily's flock holding the power even if they're some of the few left at the property. i see it as kind of a ghost town in the beginning when they arrive, just a few loyal riders with little hope of becoming anything left. local competitors, not on the national or international level like emily's kiddos. since tangle isn't around, i'll write juls as being out to do something elsewhere, jensen and will are both covering for him in terms of barn manager type roles, then will, spencer, and some third rider i'll figure out are the three that will be on the competition team. will had a lot of fame as a junior eventer but hasn't established himself as an adult yet while spencer is kind of the face of the showjumping world. she's got all the sponsorships, connections, fanbase, and so on. so even better if she's paired with someone who questions her at every turn, doesn't believe he has what it takes to get to the top while simultaneously keeping up with her skill level, something like that? if you're also wanting to create a second pairing, let me know. if you have a character in mind, i can match whatever your idea is for my third teammate <3 let me know thoughts guys! we can tweak this, but it goes with the rest of the story arc as we left it and gives us a chance for a fresh start while still keeping this forum alive!

lol that was more words than i thought. i'll work on an aesthetic board for spencer and send links over for will and jensen's as i have time. i'll likely fill out sign up sheets too so we have stuff in writing but they'll be secondary to whatever visual one i make !!

i'm working on developing spencer atm, and i'll likely get up sheets for her, jensen, and will sooner rather than later. the latter pair could come in for affiliations too if you prefer, flip, although jensen's a bit closed off and will's a bit too open lol. it'd be funny to give will a love interest, though, considering he falls in love with everyone he meets in so little time. i'm open to either throwing in a third competition rider who pairs with a character you create if you have some ideas, or throwing someone at will if you've not got anyone in mind. if we go with the latter, we can say juls is the third competition rider and he's gone. bonus points if she's their supposed "coach" like em and tim were in the beginning and she's one of kholo's employees who's not experienced at the higher levels so both jensen and spencer are bewildered by her incompetence while will's just like "she's pretty" looolll. i'd like to write in a fair amount of travel and publicity stunts this time around because emily's driving the ship which means it's everything it was but on steroids. so jensen and spencer begrudgingly drag will's love interest around the country while spencer is trying to teach her to do her job well (and is primarily doing it herself) while cursing emily's name every chance they get for not allowing them to just hire a pro because of "the value of collaboration" or something else insane that emily would say lol. something like that would be quite amusing. again, open to whatever!

those three character sheets are up, i'm not in the mood to put up horses but i will at some point. i didn't go wild on them or anything, just the basics. i'll link the aesthetic boards as i finish them, which will likely not be this evening.

Right so im going to throw in an existing rider, who has been at White Oaks before this starts. Im thinking someone quite bewildered by all the change.I might be able to match him to Spencer - Debating a sibling duo. Twins perhaps - One very anti authority the other very outgoing. If we don't disclose there is 2 of them to the new team it could lead to some very bewildered people.Could be very entertaining xD
