Hi! How are you doing? I'm in the process of setting up Havenshire Pony Club and Riding Club. Hope that's ok. I think it would be nice to have one or 2 clubs that include all our stables. I've created 2 blogs, one for pony club I've made an age limit on this - 5-13 years, hope that's ok. And also did a riding club one which will be 13 years and above. There are small changes between the two, but they're roughly the same. I've made my riders, Vicky and Beth leaders of the pony club as they're also my JEA examiners. I'm not sure about the riding club. I think we ought to have leaders but not sure who yet. So far, I've added my riders from this account who will be members. Shall I add in all yours too? I think it would be nice as we'll end up with 2 nice big clubs! I'll get around to sorting my show committee riders too at some stage. And also sorting my riders on my other 2 accounts.

Thanks Tredon. I had put the pony club at under 16's and riding club as 16 and over, but I could change it if you think it would be better. How many riders were you thinking of from each stable?

Ah! Must of missed that bit!! I don't really mind what age we put. I thought that the JEAs was 13 so made it the same. Well I don't think there should be any limit to our riders. The clubs are open to everyone so we can add as many as we want!!

New shows for clubs to either visit or compete in Island Nation Merrymakers Mardi Gras - fun competitions - biggest bum (not owner), hair like mum (owner), punnable horse name (just for the competition unless you want to keep it) etc. Havenshire Heavy Horse Homage - tug of war, fanciest feathers, ploughing competitions for the straightest furrow, best foal at foot (1yr old you have bred Links for mare & foal= 1 entry per person not stable), best of breed stallion etc Havenshire Heritage Carnivale Parade - thought about a parade of all the different breeds in national costume - food stalls - make it as diverse as possible without competitions Only have 2 examiners for JEA/NEA Phillipos Zaldivar - Follyfoot Farm Lutece Chevalier - Wyldewoodland Estate They do not do lessons for these courses but do teach other students this type of information making them completely impartial.

Those are good ideas Follyfoot. Though I think you maybe getting confused with the courses. On my stables, I have 2 JEA Instructors, but you and Ebol Wen can have your own instructors for that course at your stables. The NEA is a course at Pen Bryn College.

Great ideas for shows Follyfoot. Perhaps we should each compile a list of classes for various shows and then I can post the whole list on the other forum page so that we can use them for reference when we want to write about one of them. I've already put these on the club page, but it would be great to add other shows and events to them. Please let me know if either of you want any altered, Tredon, perhaps you have other ideas for the riding and pony clubs? I just did these as an example: Old Mill Show Classes: Veteran over 15 Youngster Under 3 Dressage Cross Country Show Jumping In Hand Beginners Carriage Driving Rare Breeds Cross Breeds Triumph through Adversity Pony Club Classes: Under 11's Lead Rein Best Turned Out Best Show Pony Fancy Dress Riding Club Classes: Dressage Cross Country Show Jumping I've started putting together a show for Ebol Wen, this is my rough draft, it'll probably be adjusted a little before i put it on my blog: Ebol Wen Show Classes Dressage - classes - Beginners (assistants permitted) & Advanced Cross Country - classes - Beginners (mini course) & Advanced (full course) Show Jumping - classes - Beginners (indoors <2ft) & Advanced (outdoors >2ft) Show Jumping - Clear Round - classes - in-hand, <2ft, >2ft & puissance Showing: In-hand - (classes - junior handler <14 & 14 and over) - (any breed, judged on conformation and behaviour) Showing: Ridden - (classes - junior <16 & 16 and over) - (any breed, judged on horse and rider ability and compatibility) Showing: Breed / Type - (classes - Rare Breed, Mountain & Moorland, Sports Horse / Pony, Working Horse & Veteran >16 Fancy Dress - <14's Thanks for the info Ludbury, I'll add it to the other page.
