I've written the next part of Corrie and Elizabeth's story, sorry it's taken me so long. I'm going to have to get a move on with it as it explains what Harmony stables is about. I've had it all planned in my head from the start, but the longer it gets before writing it down makes it more like I'm going to be copying someone! :( Sorry.

Wyldewoodland Estate said: Can you both help me with some names for breeds Wyldewoodland seems to be attracting brindles which I thought might be nice for Enka's family (she comes from Mongolia) to have bred and she rescues them. Some have been bred indiscriminately without family permission hence height variation and difference in stature. and Follyfoot has started with registered draft horses for film/stuntwork that I intend breeding at some point in the future.
Ludbury Stables said: What kinds of horses will they be? Like height, colours, temperament? Will they have snips/syars/blazes/feathers or it could vary? And what will they be used for apart from film and stunt work? Just to get ideas!! I've written a description for the Iseldir Draft on my bio to give you ideas!!
Ynys Hafod Stables said: I like the Iseldir Draft description. They sound like good strong horses. WWL, do you want to create a new breed for the brindles? Perhaps they could have started out as a colour breed, but Enka's family have created a new breed with them.
I was a bit worried that these posts had been forgotten about on the previous page so I thought I'd bring them forward.
The brindles could be zebra crosses, zorses or zonkeys. Or would you prefer to use existing breeds? When I was looking for breeds to describe my appaloosa PON's I discovered that there are 'British Spotted' ponies, so for the game I also made up one that I called the 'British Paint' for the coloured PON's. So perhaps there could be a striped breed, as it's for Enka it could be a 'Mongolian Striped' or a 'Mongolian Brindle'.

As you've described the appaloosa PONs, they'd fit with the description of the Havenshire breed. And larger ones, above 14.2hh would be Merrigans. Though if you did want to create another new one, you could change the british for Haven, like Havenshire Paint or something. Or that maybe too close to the Havenshire breed name. Yes, I like Mongolian Striped or Brindle!!

Yes, I think that was part of the reason we created the new breeds, the spotted and paint PON's were done right at the start before the Havenshire and Merrigans. :)

I've written another blog!! It's in the Havenshire 3 folder and it's number 8 I think. I'm about to write another so it'll probably disappear from the front!
