Or a decendant of Nora's grandfather's cousin, that would give them plenty of genetic variation.

It depends on who is traditionally given the title of duke/duchess.

Google time! Edit: Google's Answer: 5. Duke Or Duchess. The highest degree of the British peerage system, a duke or duchess title is traditionally granted to a prince and his spouse upon marriage. Take the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, aka Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, for instance. - So that would mean technically, depending on what generation of prince/princess alec's parents were, Alec may/may not be considered a minor prince. But we can change his parent's title to something more minor if that does not work :D

Prince and spouse are duke and duchess, so it could be Nora's great great grandfather's brother was duke, and his child inherited the title? It could be a little bit made up too. Nora and Alec could be third cousins Edited at January 12, 2023 05:10 PM by Helderfontein

I think that would work. *Digging back from high school history* The king's children are princes/princesses up to the 2nd gen I believe, so that would make Alec have no official royal title. (If we based it off of the line that alec comes from, so the king when his dad was born, aka his grandfather.
