We're also an anti-flower household. I got Mother a jigsaw of a famous painting of flowers (don't ask me which one- I can only tell you it isnt the sunflowers one lol) this year for mothers day and she was thrilled with it

I just prefer to get practical gifts. The past christmas, I got her a tens unit (she later discovered that it's not the best for her health condition, but she appreciated it at the time). Couple years back, I got her a tea mug with a large handle because she mentioned her current ones hurt her hands because the handle was too small

Well, they're also good for threading sewing machines. She doesn't have the best coordination with her fingers for fine motor things, so the tweezers will help with one of hew sewing machines
