Right now I am just going to do as I am told and let them handle the stuff I am not allowed to do anymore. See how much longer it takes them and what doesn't get done. Let them see I am not the issue.

Realistically, I just don't think some people want others there, was more my point. And will constantly bend and morph rules to try and make you miserable.

Del,
Well, she was whiny in general, too. I was too small to pick up a german shepherd safely and refused, suddenly it was passed off as "refusing work."

Amongst other things.

One time she snapped at me for "snarking" at her when I said, in a polite tone, "alright, I understand" to something she explained.

Thats such an odd reason to fire someone lol

If thats truly how it is there, then I would start looking for a new position. Working in an environment where you have to constantly second guess yourself is stressful. Not good for the mental :)

My prior internship I got "fired" from. Why? An older lady who was overseeing me and all of my daily activities dropped a can of treats on the floor. She looked really in pain when she bent over to pick them up, so I offered to help.

She looked like I just screamed an insult at her...

But like I said there is always two workers and we do it all together. The main person I work with and do everything with is the Manager, which is the owners second in command

Sometimes people will explain how to do something one way but actually complete the task another. We dont always completely verbalize our process. There might be some unspoken rules that are at play here that you can only see if you shadow the task. Im sure this is frustrating.

Yep. That is one of the main reasons I left my last job. I worked there for almost 6 years and did everything the same way all those years which is the way I was taught and told by the owner. Then suddenly everything I was doing was wrong.

I would ask to shadow the owner or a coworker again for those tasks. Maybe a step in the task is escaping you and you don’t even realize it.

Well, the owner can't have it both ways. They can't train their employees one way, and do the same thing a different way. It's just gonna confuse, and piss off said workers. They get paid to do what they're trained to do.

Do what you're told, regardless of how you were trained.

Is the owner the type is person where they need to do things themselves in order for it to feel like it was done right? The issue could have nothing to do with you personally. Are there other workers there you could ask to see if there is something that you might be missing?

Overview

Stadt Estates is located in the scenic valleys of south-central Germany, built on the bones of a historic old town on a hill. After receiving the large sum of decaying acreage and infrastructure from her late father in 2016, Emily Blue restored the property to its former glory, blending new age architecture with centuries-old historic charm. Moving back from the United States and taking clientel with her, Emily hopes to bring new life into this property and into the town below.

Gipfel - Hilltop

Krankenhaus

Krankenhaus, appropriately named, is the site of a 20th century insane asylum, refurbished and decorated as the main house. It is an expansive facility located at the top of the hill, right off the main mountain roads, which connect to a short pathway leading to a circular drive. This large house is the image of the property, considering you can see its presence on the mountain from the nearby town. It is thick with two L-shaped wings jutting out either side, towards the circular drive. From the back, views of the equestrian center below are visible, so riders are granted a clear view of their horses whenever desired. The furniture in the home is the same blend between historic and modern, somehow fashionable despite all eccentricity. Krankenhaus is not without personality, though: things have been known to break and creak due to age, further fueling rumors of hauntings. This is not disclosed to newcomers, of course. It is more of a local legend.

Kirche

Like the main house, Kirche is an appropriately named old cathedral that peeks out of the woods on the top of the hill, a quarter-mile walk from the main drive off a wooded path. Kirche has been refurbished as a large dining hall for all of the residential riders and those visiting, and the upstairs lofts have been repurposed as large meeting rooms for groups of all sizes. While you can almost always find someone there eating a meal or catching up with friends, the upper level of Kirche is also often used as a meeting space for the competition groups, clinics, and more. These rooms can be rented out for parties with permission from Emily.

Flachland - Lowland

Equestrian Amenities

Using the steep path down the mountain (or driving, for the weary), riders can access the 200+ acres of equestrian property, featuring three outdoor arenas, ten sprawling pastures, and four fifty-stall barns, two of which have stalls with private turnout, shared pens between two or three horses on rotation. Still under construction is the indoor arena, trails, and the restoration of the old racetrack which sits to the far right of the land, past the farthest pastures and barely in sight. Emily intends to add more barns on that side of the property, and a grass jump field in the center of the track. Some trails are accessible, but none are marked and some do not have an end. If you choose to trail ride, ride at your own risk. While these amenities are top of the line already, many pro riders have chosen to relocate here with the promise of all that is to come.

A brief aside on the positions listed above:

"A" teams are the best of the best. These positions will not be given generously, they must be earned. Even once they are earned, they cannot be taken for granted. Quarterly assessments will be taken of each "A" rider, judging both their horsemanship and riding skill in written and practical exams. Further, their competition results will be collected and placed in their file for each assessment week, so it is paramount that "A" riders work as hard as they can, for there will always be "B" riders doing everything in their power to steal a spot on the "A" team.

"B" riders are the second-string team, competing at the same level as the "A" riders but with little to no funding, resources, or connections. A handful of "B" riders are selected to travel with the "A" team in case of injury, illness, etc. This is the standby team, with each rider having an opportunity each quarter to steal a spot on the "A" team if they score higher overall than an "A" rider during assessment week. For both "A" and "B" riders, anyone newly selected to either team is not eligible to be eliminated during their first assessment week, unless in case of extenuating circumstances.

"C" riders are riders of any level, allowed to compete whenever and wherever they want and receive as much or as little training as they want. These are the residential boarders at the farm who are non-pro.

Likewise, the "A" trainers are expected to be highly qualified and experienced in their discipline, for evaluations will be done on them quarterly as well. The "B" coach is a bit like an assistant coach, but is expected to be equally qualified as the "A" coach. The "C" coach should have moderate experience, but more important than that for the "C" coach is a kind demeanor and exceptional horsemanship.

Note on horses: though a string of lesson horses has not been accrued yet, there are plenty of resale horses that may be provided if a rider does not have a horse, or if they qualify for a team at a level higher than their horse's abilities.

Rules:

Expected word count is 100 words, minimum. Writers of all levels of literacy are encouraged to apply. Use the expected level of realism when writing. Ask questions. Follow all HEE rules. Communicate to me if you are confused or need to clarify something, my inbox is always open :)

Name: Katarena Suta
Age: 26
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Nationality: Romanian
Appearance: Rena stands at 5'1, and is very toned due to her excellent work ethic at the gym. She has reddish brown hair with natural highlights. It falls in soft, fairly loose waves to a few inches below her shoulders. Her eyes are a warm brown color, and she has a sweet face with small, refined features. Her teeth are white and straight and she has freckles on her nose. Besides her small height and her natural beauty, nothing especially stands out about her.
Personality: Rena is a quiet girl with a ridiculously ambitious work ethic. She is creative and intelligent, always working to live up to her unrelenting standards. She struggles to slow down, and often uses workaholism as an escape from her feelings. She keeps almost everyone at arm's length, and has no problem even pushing the few that are close to her away when necessary.
Backstory: It's a very long story, but she knew Emily when they both worked for a farm in Virginia called White Oaks Equestrian Center. After suffering a terrible loss, Rena moved away and ended up in London, pursuing four majors at a local university and settling down with a man she intended to marry. After some unspeakable events occurred involving her, her brothers, and an old flame, Alex, she decided to get a clean start, once again, and agreed to Emily's offer on the third phonecall. She looks forward to picking up the pieces of her life here, away from the hustle and bustle of the city life she's grown used to.
Position(s) Applying For:
- Show Jumping Team "B"
- Other / Sports Psychologist
Do they own a horse: No
Do they need a horse: Yes
Riding Experience: Rena grew up riding young horses and became exceptionally good at it. She owned a gelding, Hugo, that she took up to the 1.30s before selling him to White Oaks Equestrian Center upon her abrupt departure.
Other: Rena has hemophilia, and is very concerned about taking on a role as an athlete despite her obvious skill due to the increased risk of injury and bruising.

Name: Ivantie "Ivan" Suta
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual... probably
Nationality: Romanian
Appearance: Ivan is tall and lean like his sister, but he has noticeably broad legs and shoulders despite this. He has muscle and fat in his shoulders especially but is still fairly skinny. His hair is short and black, his eyes a bright hazel. Like Rena, his face is naturally kind and expressive, especially in his eyes and eyebrows. He has less freckles than her on his nose, but more overall scattered across his body. He also has several noticeable scars on various parts of his body that tell interesting stories.
Personality: Ivan is a big goofball, using humor to distract from any harsh realities that he may be forced to face. Overall, he has a very big heart and can be quite soft and mushy with the right people. He is the kind of guy to stop in the middle of the road for baby animals, and he runs into some very interesting situations. Despite his spontaniety, he is a fairly reliable guy, and he really loves people.
Backstory: Ivan's family sent him away at a young age, so despite being from Romania, he grew up in a sleepy suburban town in Canada. He didn't know it wasn't normal to live in a basement, barely allowed out twice a week, learning advanced grade physics at twelve. He didn't have much of a life until he turned twenty one, so he's compensating now.
Position(s) Applying For:
- Housekeeper
- Transport Person
- Cook
Do they own a horse: No
Do they need a horse: No
Riding Experience: None.
Other: nothing (yet)
