Due to his legs, he had to be in a wheelchair. When he was 21, he went over to a friend's house. Havign arrived before the others, he found himself staring longingly at their barn, his fingers aching to open the doors. This woke him up and realized that horses weren't soemthing that he could just shut out of his life because of one freak accident. He began horse therapy and gradually learnt to ride again, having gained the use of his legs through prosthetic legs. It was on a stud farm in the plains of Namibia, causing her to ride as soon as she was allowed. She has three older siblings and one younger. When she was 13, a robbery took place at the farm. Her father was immediately surrounded by accusations and hatred, simply because 'he was black'. He was fired within three days and was forced to pack his bags and leave, with his five children and wife in tow. Three months later, police investigations were made and it was discovered that the owner's best friend was actually the culprit. He sent apologies and offered to give Kagiso his job back, but was refused immediately. This began the brooding htred in Kat's heart. He has an untrimmed mane and a neatly trimmed tail. Ash looks similar to the typical Thoroughbred, as his sire was a Throughbred. Personality: Ash has a bouncy, kind nature. He adores children and cats. He is very sensitive to aids and will do practically anything for Kat. His bold, messy style that makes him so good at XC fails in the showjumpign arena. Although he's 10, he often acts like a colt and can be quite adorably foolish at times. He forms close bonds with people he likes, although also having a space in his heart for anyone he might ever meet. Show Name: Shadows Of Beyond Barn Name: Shadow Gender: Gelding Height: 16.2 hh Breed: Appaloosa x Tennesse Walking Horse Appearance: Shadow has wide-set eyes, causing a somewhat shocked expression. His light eyes peer from behind a lengthy forelock, his sclera showing due to his cross with Appaloosas. He has dark black fur and a black mane and tail. Shadow is a blanket Appie, his melting snow pattern stretching to the beginning of his legs. He sports the typical Tennessee Walker hindlegs, sticking out slightly.
Personality: Shadow is a sweet-tempered horse, always wanting to be loved. Although kind, he is shy and occassionally aggressive with strangers, unless someone he knows is with him. He has his quirks in the saddle, but is still a dream to just ride. Showing, however, is trickier. He hates large crowds and will act up at loud noises, including music. He does calm down for classical music though. Likes: long trail rides, hanging out with his buddies, classical music.
