Teufel flicked an ear towards the boy that had started throwing rocks, his tongue dragging over his teeth as he walked forward. They had been scared by Elvis, but now as he emerged, it got even worse. He kept his head low in an attack position, lips slowly pulling back from his dagger fangs. He didn't jump at the cage, but rather slowly stalked forward, pawsteps silent. A moment later, a low growl reverberated around the pen. The boy's eyes widened and they ran, dropping the rest of the rocks. With that done, Teufel straightened and turned to Blu. He cleared his throat, glancing down at her. "I challenge you for the position of Swing Dog." He announced clear as day, his voice still flat and unamused. His tail waved back and forth slowly, almost like a snake, his head tilted and dark eye melting daggers into her skin.

Blu watched the boy run she lifted her head but as she turned she heard teufuls voice cut through the air she froze mid step before pinning her ears back. Her blue eyes scanned over him she straightened her posture "challenge accepted" she responded coldly. Her tail lashing at her legs he head lowered. And she could feel the eyes of all her packmates around her. She circled the bigger canine waiting for a different dog to confirm her fight. Her ears swiveled as she observed his every move. She kneaded the earth with her paws getting a good stance so she would be ready to fight .

Teufel inclined his head slightly at her acceptence of the challange, slowly turning and pacing halfway around her before moving back and tilting his head. He lunged forward, but it was wrong- slow, sluggish, everything you'd expect from a wolf of his size but for him it just seemed wrong. As soon as she started moving to block, he was instantly on the other side. Moving at a speed that felt wrong, fast and swift, his muscles rippled as he darted to the other side and landed a bite directly on her shoulder, dropping his head in a defensive position as he peered at her through slitted eyes. Her move. His tail was still, hackles lifted and lips pulled back slightly, revealing either a slight grimace or smirk.

.{Arya}. She sighed, gazing out towards the rest of the pack, Jeager specifically. He was stronger than her, she knew it. Her only consilation was the fact that she was by far smarter. He was confident that he would remain the lead dog, and the fact that he'd only put Tahoe down as a threat said a lot about his observation skills. Even Teufel, who hardly knew her, had thought her as a better fit for lead dog than Jaeger. She finally lay down, although she did tilt her position so that her back wasn't completely open to Teufel. "You know, as much as i... struggle to enjoy Blu's presence she is slower because of that crash last Iditairod." Arya remembered that crash all to well, it was the first time she had ever seen Kodack panic. The other team had run straight against them, trying to push them off the path. It was the Swing Dog's that had taken the brunt of the hit, although Pidgeon had gotton a good wack as well. Blu had crashed into the rocky sides and had pulled Kodack down with her. Arya remembered the way the team had scrambled. That moment had taught her exactly how much they all relied on the Swing Dogs. Blu's eye hadn't been the same afterwards, they had always assumed one of the rocks had gotten to it. - .{Kodack}. Kodack looked up, hearing the sound of yelps from the far side of the coral. He frowned, swivelling his ears towards the noise. "I'm going to check that out." He murmured. The husky rose to his paws, taking a moment to gather his thoughts before padding off in the direction. "Everyone alright?" He called out. Kodack heard a crash against the metal fencing. They better not be fightning already!

Blu was taken aback by his sudden show of agility. She had no clue what she was doing becoming a wheel dog that is. She might as well swap placed with elvis who apparently is alot meaner then he lets on. The female jumped at teufel but as he went to block her she wheeled sideways sinking her teeth into his scruff and tearing backwards. She didn't want to kill him she could've if she really wanted to but it was against pack order to kill any dog. She hopped backwards her bad shoulder shooting pain up into her spine. Teuful had bitten her just right to make the old injury hurt. She grit her teeth before lowering her body for a split second it looked like she was about to retreat but her hackles came back up and she pounced teeth snapping. A cruel snarl escaped her lips as she fought the bigger wolf. The more they fought the more she knew he was going to win. Making one last attempt to get the upper hand she used the fence to redirect her body diving under him when he jumped at her and snapping at the soft skin on his belly she caught it and tore a chung of flesh of. If she was going to loose and be stuck with pidgion she was going to make sure the wolf remembered how brutal she could be.

.{Arya}. Arya stood beside Kodack, watching the fight. She could see the look in Blu's eyes, she knew she was being knocked down and it hurt. The she watched the two for a little longer before slinking off, deciding it was time to find Jaeger. Kodack had noticed her leave but he knew better than to follow. Arya stalked across the snow, weaving through the bushes and underbrush that surrounded the encampment. She found Jaeger lounging on a stretch of hay underneath the roof of the shed. "Nice to see one of us is relaxing." She said dryly, sitting down next to him. Arya squared her shoulders, sat up taller and raised her head to look down on Jaeger. "Who's your biggest worry? Tahoe or someone else?" She pryed, trying to see what he thought of both her and of Teufel.

Polaris had been her usual introverted self, keeping to the edges of the group and not butting in even if she believed it was necessary at the time. The dame was mostly lost in her thoughts, quietly analyzing how the others moved and interacted; she was actively trying to predetermine who would end up where before it was time for the real deal. It was something that most likely everyone was doing internally, knowing that needless rants were the last thing they needed right now. Besides, Polaris did not want the lead dog position.. for now. She had the capability of doing it rather well, if it weren`t for how timid she was underneath her somewhat tough exterior. Besides, she believed in character more than strength. At the moment, she was curled up near the shed of their shared pen, quietly observing still. The challenge made by Teufel did not surprise her at all, in all honesty; males were practically always greedy over being at the top. A groan of annoyance escaped her jowls as she shifted onto her side, the light reflecting off of her grey and silver coat. If anyone got injured, Polaris knew that no one would help them; it was the way things worked.. usually. A quiet curse reverberated in her chest as she simply listened, hearing the snapping of jaws and snarls nearby. Peace and quiet.. that was the one thing she wanted, but would never receive.

Teufel let out a heavy breath of pain when she ripped at his scruff, eyes narrowed as he fought tooth and claw. He fought like a wolf- mercilessly, ruthlessly, like a bear on a mission. But... he also fought like no one else. He was cunning and careful with every move planned and every possibility gone over. He adapted quickly, was careful with letting her get access to his throat, and overall was a terrifying fighter. He could tell she was losing hope, but then she went for that last little bit, ripping a sizeable chunk out of his stomach. His dark eyes glinted and he whirled around, slamming his full body weight into her and sending her crashing to the ground. His Jaws closed around her throat a second later, but his teeth barely pricked her skin. Careful precision was put into every movement. "Admit defeat." He growled through a mouthful of fur. - Jaeger could see the fight from where he was, but barely, and he didn't.. really care. It wasn't him, so he wasn't gonna worry about it. Although he didn't really want Teufel as a swing dog, it'd be fine. His eyes flicked to Arya as she approached, snorting quietly and sitting up. "No one has challenged me, so why fret?" He mused, then watched her carefully. She seemed more interested in his opinion than normal, and he wasn't an idiot. Usually. He was young and dumb sometimes, but wasn't everyone? He carefully considered her question, hearing the prying tone. He could take a hint. "Tahoe was my main concern, yes, but it seems like you're interested." He replied smoothly, his tail flicking once. "That true?"

.{Arya}. She glanced down at him, slowly and precisly as she always did. "Suppose you'll find out." Arya licked her lips, grazing her teeth over her bottom lip. "Tahoe's an idiot, goes head-first into anythinng and everything. I'd fight hard if i were you. We'll crumble with him as the new lead." She went back to staring into the distance, managing to seem completely unbothered. "Why? You find me threatening?" She teased, hoping to get a small rise out of him. Jaeger had a temper, everyone knew, and it wasn't very hard to set off. If she played her cards right he'd snap a bit and she could use that to start challenging him. - .{Kodack}. Kodack was still watching the fight, more intently than he would usually. Because Teufel was new he had no idea how he fought, how he reacted to certain moves and what areas were sensitive to him. He did know that he was relieved to have Teufel as his new Swing Dog than Blu. It did mean he would have to show Teufel he was still in charge. As a Swing Dog he had always been in charge out of the pair, in both his teams.

Jaeger sighed quietly when she didn't answer, but her face immediately suggested he was correct. He nodded at her next words, agreeing completely. "I won't let him win." He responded. "I am both stronger and smarter than him when it comes to fighting." Jaeger had had his fair share of experience. His ear swiveled towards her and he contemplated how to answer. If he laughed, he'd probably offend her, but to be fair, she was goading him. His pelt pricked at the thought. "You wish." He answered instead, flashing a smile. He wasn't going to let her get away with just pissing him off.
