Nol heard the boy speak, "um, we followed your dragon.. let me guess, your a Rider too?" Nol said picking his words carefully

Azai glared at Nol "yeah you could say that It's not like I was given much of a choice."

Nol puffed up his chest, red blotches on his cheeks, "Don't speak that way! It is a honour to be a Rider!" Nol yelled, Lam rubbed against his leg in a calming motion

'Try not to yell, that shadow thing might hear' Lam whispered

Nol jumped, he had forgotten all about the shadow creature, his eyes swept the clearing, his shoulders ridged.

Azai's pov

"some would say honor I say honor and curse. I wanted to stay invisible. But now with a dragon I can't." Azai shrugged "I'll get used to it for now though I hate it"

Nols eyes narrowed, "whatever" he scoffed, he looked down at his own dragon with much love that radiated through the bond, he felt a gentle push back, a push of love and affection, Nol smiled down at lam.

Azai's pov

"don't whatever me. It's true all I wanted was to stay invisible. As soon as this whole dragon thing entered my life that became impossible. I just wanted to hide till I died. It'd be easier than this." Azai's voice was cold like ice. He turned and looked Nol right in the eyes his ice blue eyes held a strange fire when he got mad. At that moment they were at the point where one wrong move would mean someone's death.

Nol slowly sat down beside his dragon, "yes, we should be saving the world. But we need training, I might be able to provide a little amount of training, but we need better training, from others" he said rubbing his head, he looked at the other boy, "even if you want to stay invisible, it's impossible now, so you are to love and take care of your dragon, for we will need all the hands and claws we can get to defeat the dark masses" he said, allowing his fingers to dance over the edge of Lams scales

"I don't care about saving the damn world or training all I wanted was to stay out of this!" Azai was breathing hard he had a lot on his mind and he hated everything to do with this sort of thing. "we stand no chance we will be outnumbered there is nothing we can do" (he will accept his fate eventually. Right now it's too much change)
