Emily Woodstock | 30F | Yarra and Destiny | A little sigh came out of Emily as she watched her horse walk into the stall without a fight "I bet someone could go for some yummy oats and a biscuit of hay" she smiled as she walked into the stall and unclipped the saddle bags of supplies and the day's harvest off the saddle and placing them on the corner of the open gate before returning to the mare's side "okay here we go" she took a deep breath in as she unbuckled the girth of the Stock Saddle, releasing all the tension on the mare. The mare became relaxed knowing her day was done. Emily tucked up the stirrups and the girth then placed her hand under the saddle pad and pull the saddle with the pads off and walked out of the barn to a saddle stand that was just in front of Destiny's stall. She exhaled pretty dramatically, realizing even tho she was 30... Things were now getting a bit harder for herself "deary deary me... It doesn't get easier from here aye" she sighed as she returned to the mare, removing the breastplate and sliding the bridle off which was a bit of a hassle as Destiny oddly had a habit of not giving the bit. Yarra sat patiently at the gate watching all the nearby horses stick their heads out of the stall, curious about what's happening outside. "Come on Destiny... Give it...." Emily sounded a little frustrated as she tried many ways to get her to give the bit then eventually she let go "Thank ... You..." She muttered a little before going back to the saddle stand and placing the bridle and breastplate on the saddle and walking down to the feed room and grabbing a bucket and filled it with oats, chaff and some other feed supplements. Grabbing a biscuit of hay and making her way back to the stall... Humming a little tune as she made her way back.

(Short and late response, apologies) Darren Lee Greyson | 46 | M | Penny & Lupin | Location: Barn/Cross-ties | M: Opal, Bingo, Quin, Lupin . Darren gave a greeting smile, "Theres probably a spare stall around here that she can go in" he said gesturing towards a few stalls that were unoccupied. He watched as the mare caused some chaos biting the other horse on the leg, he chuckled "she sure does have an opinion on other horses". "While you put her away i'll start grabbing out the tools i need" he spoke as he adjusted the foot rest to the right height for bingo now that he could see what the right height would be close up. . And of course one of the horses to perk up at the sound of chaos was Lupin, the stallion looking out his stall door and nickering to the group with his ears perked. Darren checked the sharpness of his tools incase he needed to re-level Bingo's hoof in the case some of it got torn off during the incident, pulling out his hoof pick from his tool belt ready to clear out the debree when he started. . . Anastasia Roux Greyson | 23 | F | SF Clashing Worlds | Location: Store | M: Clan . Finishing up her shopping spree Anne brough the little basket back up to the front of the store where the checkout was, greeting the cashier with a smile as she put the backet up and let him ring the items through the register. Hearing the total she fished the notes from her wallet before scrambling for the last coin she needed, placing the money in his hand she promtly collected her items and headed out. . Seeing the tall bay standing still nicely she smiled to herself, what would she do without him. "Hey, good boy for standing so well" she spoke softly as she stroked Clan's neck, stowing stuff away she readied him up untying the reins before mounting the gelding. Finding her other stirrup, adjusting her seat and gathering her reins they were on their way back home with a cluck of Anne's tounge.

Selma Roselyn Tracey | 24 | F | Frankie & Romeo | Location: Town The snow was merely a light coat of dusting on the ground, most of it cleared away, making a path that was easy to travel. Selma was thankful for that. The deeper snow never hindered Romeo, in fact, it had the opposite effect. He liked to play in it, and if Selma didn't have a task to do and she wasn't in the saddle, she would've found that endearing. Selma nudged Romeo onward, greeting a few familiar faces as she passed. They approached the store, which stood in the middle of town. No matter how much changed, the store was the only thing that remained the same. A beacon of normalcy. Selma steered Romeo to a hitching post standing along the outside of the building. She'd slip out of the saddle and tie him up, using a knot that kept Romeo secure but allowed him to break away if he was in danger. Not that there was any semblance of danger in the town, but she was protective over her horse, always prepared for every possibly scenario. "Stay here, be good, and I just might get you a little something," she told Romeo, patting his shoulder before disappearing into the store.

Opal-mae Lilland Duffel "Opal" | F | 23 | bambi & quin| mentions: bingo bambi quin Darren . Opal led quin into a empty stall, dropping her leadrope on the ground so the mare could move around without getting hung up. Once she was done putting opal in the stall she led bingo over to Darren and set him up "he's just in a triple 0 iron shoe" she told the older man, reaching over bingos head to pass him the old shoe. "Nothing too fancy, just something to keep him balanced while my brother ropes off him" + Dustin James Duffel "Dusty" | M | 13 | Bullseye & Bingo| Mentions: rosko the mule, selma . As Dustin got about halfway home he remembered that he forgot to pick up bull snaps for opals new project horses. Wheeling his chestnut around he nudged him into a steady lope on the solid ground heading back to the store to get his sisters equipment. When he got to the store he pulled rosko to a walk, dismounting him and tying him to the post next to a huge draft horse that belonged to the local vet assistant. When he spotted the woman he jogged over "excuse me!" He called out to get her attention before stopping to run his fingers through his blonde curls "I heard that the vets office has been taking in rescue horses is that right?" He asked her looking down at her was a funny thought to him as he was only thirteen and she had to be atleast in her twenties. He rubbed the back of his neck "if you have any over flow I could take a few back home to my sister's place, we have some extra stalls and a ton of extra turn out and opal likes to rehab animals"

Selma Roselyn Tracey | 24 | F | Frankie & Romeo | Location: Store Selma was about to head inside when the boy called to her. He was a little taller than she was, though she could tell he was a teenager. Just something about the way he looked. She listened intently as he offered to house some of the rescue horses at his sister's property. "That's mighty kind of you," she replied when he was done speaking. "We could actually use the free space — the barn's awfully small and we don't have the resources to expand-" She quickly shut herself up, realizing much too late, that maybe mentioning the clinic's shortcomings wasn't a good idea. She cleared her throat. "Anyways, we got a couple horses that are healthy enough to travel, if you wanna take 'em for now. They're just kinda skittish, y'know? The poor things came from a terrible home." Then Selma noticed she hadn't introduced herself. Strike two! "Where are my manners!" She stuck out her hand for a shake, "I'm Selma, and you are..?"

Dustin James Duffel "Dusty" | M | 13 | Bullseye & Bingo| Mentions: rosko the mule, selma . Dustin nodded along as selma spoke "we always tend to have extra space because we have enough land to expand the program when need be" he tipped his head towards rosko "that grumpy guy is our designated pickup horse because he came from a bad home himself but he's pretty calm in most situations" told her before taking her hand to shake it "I'm Dustin, Dustin duffel my dad's the sheriff" rosko flipped his big ears at selmas gelding, reaching his nose up to try and sniff the draft before snorting and resting his chin on the wooden post.

Beau Lancaster || M || 25 || Annie & Laredo || Mentions: Annie, Laredo, Wren, Riata. . When Beau got back to the property on Annie, Wren was out in the arena working Riata through some roping drills. He sidepassed the big mare to open and close the gate, and then jogged her over to the rail of the arena. "How's she working for you?" Wren looked over at him and responded, "Yeah, little hot but shes been sitting a couple days so that explains it." He nods and hops off Annie, leading her back to get untacked. After he does so, curries her, and puts her away, and goes to watch Wren in the arena, and give her some tips if needed, but his attention gets drawn by a colt he has in a roundpen that he's starting. He stops, watching the colt, and Laredo trots up next to him. He glances down at the dog, before following where the colts ears are pricked towards. The road. Strange. He'd literally just been on it. The colt went back to its hay, so Beau looked at the road a moment more before heading back to watch Wren. His cousin was building her loop again, Riata's reins loose and draped over her black and white neck. Once Wren got her loop good, she picked up her reins again and nudged the mare into a lope. Riata picked it up fast, and Wren circled her once at one end of the arena before running towards the other and tossing the loop at a dummy set in the arena, and had the mare slide to stop her. "Not bad. Just be careful with graining her for the next few days if shes getting hot." Beau says, and Wren nods before he heads towards the house to catch up on some stuff.

Emily Woodstock | 30 F | Destiny & Yarra | Mentions: Quin | Destiny whinnied as she smelt a similar scent of a horse that she just met, sticking her head out of the stall and looked down the hallway noticing the brindle mare that she tried to befriend was placed in a open stall a couple stalls down. Destiny for some reason trying to befriend was unusual.. she was usually quiet in the stalls and never a peep. Around the corner Emily noticed the mare half out of her stall "Destiny..." She groaned, totally unimpressed about her mare. She walked up to Destiny and quickly tipping the feed in the feed bucket and the hay in the net "come on tea time" she called Destiny over. As the mare walked over to her to start eating, Emily walked out of the stall and grabbed her grooming box from the front of the stall and opened it... A little photo fell out of the box and landed on her boot, she picked it up and it was a photo of her holding a baby but the photo was taken a while ago and showed age. Emily took a deep shakey breath as she stared at the picture for a little while until Yarra nudged her, getting her to snap out of it. Emily looked at Yarra with a smile "I know... But I can't help that it still kills me Yarra" she sighed as she placed the photo back in the box and grabbed some brushes and returned to Destiny, softly rubbing the mare with a curry brush.

Darren Lee Greyson | 46 | M | Penny & Lupin | Location: Barn | M: Opal, Bingo . "Alright lets get this started shall we" He smiled, coming up beside bingo he gave the gelding an aqquainted pat before leaning down to have a look at the hoof while it was flat on the ground. Assessing how he stood and the outer hoof before running his hand down the leg and clucking to pick the hoof up. He gave the hoof a look over before pulling the hoof rest over and resting his hoof on top so he didnt have to constantly hold it up, it looked like bingo had chipped a bit of his hoof but it wasnt anything too bad that Darren couldn't fix up in this trim. . Using his hoof pick he cleared out the dirt before leveling out the geldings hoof with his hoof knife, always re-assessing the hoof to make sure he was making the right cuts before looking at the shoe Opal had handed him. It was in good condition considering what happened so Darren decided it would last until his next set of shoes, getting his nails and tools ready Darren set the shoe into place before hammering the nails into place as well securing the iron shoe onto Bingo's hoof. Checking over to make sure it was a good fit Darren cut of the excess bits of the nails and smoothed them down, setting his hoof down he made sure to check Bingo was standing comfortably again and that it was a good fit. . "Look's like he's all good" he smiled at his work before looking back up to Opal, "I managed to re-use the shoe because it was still in good enough condition but of course like usual we will swap them out for new ones when he needs his feet done again" he added before starting to pack up his tools. Selma Roselyn Tracey | 24 | F | Frankie & Romeo | Location: Store Selma's brows flicked up in recognition at the Duffel name. If Dustin and his sister were the sheriff's kids, she could definitely trust them with the horses — not like she didn't have a reason to trust them anyway. "It's nice to meet you, Dustin." She watched as Rosko interacted with Romeo, who gave the mule a quick sniff and a friendly snort. "They seem to be getting along," she nodded to the pair, chuckling to herself as she remembered Dustin calling the mule grumpy. Selma knew that wouldn't stop Romeo from trying to be friends.
