Melissa smiled and said "good morning" she said and looked around. She loved her own horse, she has no friends because she has had a difficult upbringing. Diana looked up and looked at the person who had come but gave them a friendly look.

Annilyn Carter | Age 16| Fancy "Um..." Annilyn said. "You can call me Anna. I know Annilyn is a strange name." She said. Annilyn had very few friends. "Would you like to be friends while we are here?" She asked. She looked at her horse, Fancy. She was rubbing noses with Melissa's horse. "Your horse is pretty. What's her name? My horse's name is Miss Fancy Pants, aka Fancy, because of her chimera."

When Melissa thinks about it, she said, "Yes, I would love to and this is Diana Rose, but she's called Diana. She's a real, well, what can you say, Queen. She has her own opinions about how she wants to be treated." She said.

Jessica Dakota Foster ⚕︎ 2nd Year | 17 Years Old | F | A ce Sior la Rose | Showjumping, Dressage & Cross Country ⚕︎ Jess had finally finished unpacking all of Rose's tack and had given her the cocentrates. It was probably around 3ish so it left her enough time to unpack her own things before her cross country class at 4:30, assuming they were doing the final class of the day to get a feel for things. She hadn't spoken to anyone yet, nor had she met her roommate but it was sure to happen. Pretty sure it was her dorm, Jess opened the large wooden door to reveal the dorms. There were two beds on opposite sides of the room, accompanied by desks, a closet and a chest. Jess stepped in and dropped her stuff by the bed on the right, closest to the door and started looking around. There was a corridor that led to the bathroom which consisted of a shower, toilet and sink. On one of the walls were two posters side-by-side. The first one read: 'In your chest you will find half of it has been divided to fit a mini fridge, this can be taken out at anytime. You may either provide your own food or buy from the school commisary. A roll in table can be provided for long study nights Wifi password is IEEC**25-student$' Out of curiosity she opened up the chest to see her mini fridge, the other half contained blankets and towels. Jess made her way over to the closet and noted they had their racks already. "Time to unpack i guess." She murmured to herself. ⚕︎ Jess had almost finished unpacking everything, all her clothes, riding gear, her clock, books and more. Now she just needed to add some finishing touches like photo's and all her schoolbooks. Jess had been homeschooled since she was 14 and was busy finishing her final year of school. She unpacked all her schoolbooks, stationary and laptop. Everything looked quite neat (expect for the heap of books on her bed but we don't talk about it). The clock read 4:05 which meant she should probably head to the stables. First she changed into a black baselayer, back protector and grey jods before grabbing her helmet and gloves. If it turned out they weren't doing a lesson she could always take Rose out for some hillwork or ask if she could use the XC field. ⚕︎ Rose was fully tacked up by 4:25 and they were busy heading down to the arena. She had seen her roomate and another girl chatting away by Rose's stall but hadn't spoken to them. Rose jogged excitedly underneath here, hoofs creating an awful amount of noise on the concrete. "Hey, you're going to burst someone's eardrums!" Jess grinned, tightening her reins.

Jessica Dakota Foster ⚕︎ 2nd Year | 17 Years Old | F | A ce Sior la Rose | Showjumping, Dressage & Cross Country ⚕︎ Jess turned her head to spot the girl, she had sharp blue eyes and lengthy brown hair. The horse beside her was a sandy palomino, most defintly a western horse if she'd ever seen one. She pulled Rose to a halt, who immedietly started fidgeting with her bit impatiently. "Jess, this is Rose." She responded, tone clipped and and posture stiff. The girl – Rosalie, radiated energy and excitement. The exact thing Jess did not need right now. Rose shifted under her, arching her neck and trying to turn. Jess gave her a sharp whistle, a firm no, and tightened her reins. "Look, i need to get to a lesson." Jess muttered to the girl and gave Rose a tap to walk on.

The tone of the other girl who was apparently not very nice made Melissa take a step back towards Diana's box. She disliked loud conversations and tones. It reminded her so much of her own childhood. She flinched when she thought about it.

Dallas Winnow 19 || 2nd Year || SS Roming With The Hills aka Pops || Equitation, Eventing, Polo -- A few hours later, once Dal had gotton all unpacked in her dorm and had waited to meet her roommate, Celina, she learned her name was, she headed back out to barn 1 to tack Pops up so she didn't get bored and destory something. -- Once Dallas got out there, she went straight to the mustangs stall. She figured she'd just tack the mare up in her usual tack (roping saddle, splitear headstall with silver, a spade bit, ect), just to make sure the mare wasn't going to freak when she tried her in a snaffle for the first time since the mare had been finished last year. Dal made sure to put the mares halter on and tie her in her stall (Because Pops had always found a way out of crossties,), before grabbing some of the brushes she brought with her to make sure no little things of dirt or shavings would prick the mare. -- Once she had Pops all groomed, she grabbed her felt saddle pad and then a thick saddle blanket. She threw the pad onto the mares back, sliding it up her neck once or twice just to make sure all the fur was laying flat before throwing the blanket onto the pad. After that came her saddle, of course, and she swung it up. She tightened the cinch just enough that the saddle wouldn't fall off while she was walking her out to the arena, then her back-cinch, and her breastcollar. She already had the mares bridle resting on the horn, but she decided to put some splint boots and bell boots on the mares front legs just incase the footing in the arena was weird. After she took of Pop's halter and slipped the bit into her mouth, then the slit in her headstall over her ear. -- After that was all done, she walked the mare out of the barn and towards one of the arenas, which she realized had some girls in it. She shrugged, and continued walking Pops towards the arena. The mare would be fine, she'd been in arenas with dozens of other horses. A few others wouldn't bother her. Once over to the arena, Dal made sure to mount outside of the arena, since she'd never liked getting on in the arena. Besides, she could sidepass Pops over to the gate and open it on the mare, which the mustang quite enjoyed doing back in Oregon, and it wouldn't be any different here. -- Once she did that and was actually in the arena, Pops pricked her ears towards the horses already in the arena and let out a low nicker. Dal brought the mares attention back to herself by shifting her hands just a tad on the reins. Perks of having a fully broke spade horse. The mare could spin with the touch of a finger on the reins or with a boot on the shoulder. Of course, Dallas wouldn't do that. She was just riding the mare to get some of her energy out before feeding her. Edited at November 25, 2025 02:05 PM by Mustang Valley

"Okay, ck ck come on, Smokey..." Celina sighed deeply as her speedy stallion started to canter, jumping over a 65cm bar before slowing to a trot, patting her horse as a well done treat.
