Jaeger glanced at Elvis. "I don't know. They're being extra rude to each other lately." He understood both were in the wrong, and he was getting a little sick of the quarreling. Especially on the run. "I hope I'm one of the lead dogs again too, but..." He paused. This was hard. "Even I have stuff to learn." His ego took a blow with that one, but he needed to say it. "Excuse me for a second." With that, he lengthened his strides and veered off towards where Pigeon was first. "Hey- we're all equally important. You are not any more important than Blu, and she is not more important than you. I am not more important than any of you. We're a team. If we're missing even one dog, we won't run right. That's because everyone matters. We need to treat each other likes teammates." He said sternly. Not yelling, not angrily, but sternly.

He then veered towards where Blu was. "Did you hear me? Same goes for you. She is not any less important than you. Without wheel dogs, the sled would go off course. However, she is not more important than you. Both are very important to have." He edged back towards the middle, where both could hear him. "Does that make sense?"

Polaris

⋆⁺｡˚⋆˙‧₊☽ ◯ ☾₊‧˙⋆˚｡⁺⋆

The dame was quiet as she raced alongside the others, sticking towards the rear of the group. From where she was, she could hear their dialogue, most of which involved positions on the team and also the highly sought after lead position; she did not really understand the need to acquire such a thing.. Their enthusiasm seemed a bit ridiculous to her. Polaris shook her head slightly as she increased her pace just a tad to reach the middle of the group, her crown raised and auricles perked forwards. As always, she wanted the peace and quiet, but she was still intriguied by what the other canines were discussing. Her tassel swayed as she raced on, her eyes glancing to and fro between the others; she wondered if there would ever be some kind of comradely between them all or if everything would be tense and high-stakes as always. Truly, she prayed it was the latter. Once again, Pigeon and Blu were bantering like puppies, something Polaris also wished would cease. It made no sense to be at each other`s throats all the time.

(I understood lol)

Blu winced as pidgion scratched her side now bleeding as she slowed her pace "I heard you loud and clear Jaeger." She replied coldly before dropping to the back as the musher turned the ATV around. Unfortunately she fell in step with pidgion. She layed her ears back and shoved in front of the wheel dog veering off to the woodline the blood from blus scratch smeared across pidgions fur as she did so. The big grey female almost knocked the small runty wheel dog over when she shoved through her. It was honestly intertaining to Blu to watch the tiny husky who thought she was the best dog to ever run try to catch her balance.

Elivs watched as Jaeger talled to the two dogs. He couldn't really tell if Blu was just defending herself or if she was instagating. To him it honestly looked like pidgion was jealous of her. But who was he to make assumptions he didn't even have a true spot on the team. He broke down to a jog matching side with pidgion "am I missing something? You two where fine yesterday. I'm not trying to like nose into your business but you both seem irritated at each other. And not to defend her but Blu was trying to stay away from you and you kinda where acting like well a jealous pup" he paused before quickly shaking his head "no! That sounded wrong I wasn't calling you jealous! Or a pup! If was uhh. Well nevermind"

| "A jealous- yeah your right... i really should be nicer its just she thinks im worthless to the team." she paused and looked at him. "Your really sweet" she smiled and winked before running off "Got it loud and clear jaeger" she shouted |

.{Kodack}.

Kodack's sharp eyes finally laid on the team and their musher.

He lengthened his steps, reaching forward to catch up to them.

Kodack carefully positioned himself just slightly in front of Teufel and far off from Pidgeon and Blu.

He wanted to send a message to the new dog: 'Your at the bottom and i want you to stay there'

The last newbie that had stuck had been Kodack himself, although there had been another that didn't last all that long.

He didn't plan on speaking to Teufel unless he was addressed first, after all he didn't need to seem desperete.

Kodack took a bound, leaping forward to keep Teufel off his tail and Blu out of earshot.

Blue may have been a swing dog as well but he couldn't lead, not at all.

A swing dog should be able to take charge, especially since they were the link between the leader and the rest of the team.

Kodack was more of a leader, but not enough so to put up with all the nonsense that came with the job.

Jaeger sighed as Blu responded coldly and veered away. That's what he got for trying to keep the peace... this was really testing his patience. Patience he didn't really have. He wasn't known for being the most calm dog ever. His eyes narrowed as Blu directly disobeyed an order to leave Pigeon alone, his claws flexing to sink into the earth more as he ran. He then glanced at Elvis approaching Pigeon, a growl rumbling in his throat before he heard the she's reply. ...What was she up to now. Slight bewilderment crossed his face before he shifted over to where Elvis is. "They're both in the wrong.. don't stir up trouble." He watched the pup with a stern look. "I'm not saying you are, I'm just saying that you shouldn't interfere."

Teufel was not looking to cause trouble, but his head was still lifted as he stared forward. His nose alerted him to someone approaching on the left, his head swiveling in a weird way so he could peer at them with his narrowed right eye. When they drew in front of him, he snorted in a way that suggested he was amused. Not being one for speaking much, he lengthened his strides and moved across the path, to the left side now, and drew ahead of the dog that had pulled ahead of him. He kept this newer, faster pace easily, every movement smooth and practiced. If these idiots kept trying to piss him off, he'd give them a run for their money.

.{Kodack}.

Kodack sniffed in annoyance and bounded forward, resuming the lead.

He admired Teufel's silence and didn't badger him with any words.

It was nice to, for once, only hear the sound of paws bounding on snow and the icy wind blowing through the forest.

He kept his steady pace, bounding but not erratic or to fast.

Just enough.

He could tell Teufel was irritated, he had a tell-tale sign: a small scrunch of his nose.

Kodack liked picking out small details from the other team members, especially the newer ones.

He could also tell that Teufel was sick of being bothered by the rest of the team.

Kodack knew better than to irritate or hound him; it wouldn't do either of them good.

He knew from experiance that no one was going to do anything for you unless they find your company something not to be avoided.

| Pigeon looked around and slowed to a walk before pawing at the ground and finding a little bit of greenery. She gasped. "Guys! I found grass!" She smiled proudly but when she looked again she remembered a memory |

| Her and her ex were expecting a puppy and her ex hadnt known yet. When she showed him, he got angry and hit her. She ran and ran but eventually lost the puppy. |

- Present -

| Ever since that day she agreed with herself to never let a male dog command her again. |

.{Arya}.

Arya had decided to stay behind while the rest of the pack went out with their musher.

She was enjoying the quiet, especially after all the drama earlier that day with the new dog.

Teufel, she believed he was called.

As always the pack had crumbled as soon as the pressure hit, and in front of Teufel as well.

She sighed and shook her pelt, spraying snow all over.

She was pretty keen on going up to Teufel.. as soon as she figured out what to say.

Arya stretched out her forepaw's, digging them into the snow.

She hadn't looked at him to hard, that was Kodack's job.

He assesed and she proceeded.

They were a team.

Arya had been with the team longer than Kodack, nearly a year, but you couldn't tell.

He looked like he'd been there his whole life.

Arya was also older than him, by about 2 years.

But from the moment the musher had brought him in they were tight, and had been for ages now.

Teufel flicked an ear back to listen to the clamor of the others. At the moment, he disliked two of them mostly- Pigeon and Blu. They seemed to be the ones causing the most trouble. Without loyalty, and unity, a pack couldn't race. Couldn't even exist. That's something his last pack had- they were all bound tighter than family, and it worked. Now, stepping into here, all there was was arguing and fighting.

Most of it didn't even revolve around him. It seems like those two had been causing trouble long before he got here, Jaeger was an interesting dog all in themselves, and the rest of the pack he hadn't gotten a great bearing on.

Blu obviously was a troublemaker, but the other swing dog, Kodack... that's the one who had ran in front of him. Which irritated him a little, but then they left him alone... so he shouldn't be too quick to anger.

Arya, he didn't see. She must've stayed back. He respected the urge not to want to be in the middle of all the drama, but running was in his blood, so he couldn't quite understand not going. He would fight through any mount of pain to run.

Polaris was the tall she-dog who had been talking to Pigeon and quietly assessing everyone. She was probably on his best side- she hadn't done anything stupid, and it looked like she avoided conflict.

Aputiak he hadn't seen much of.

Jaeger, as everyone knew, was arrogant and loud. Teufel didn't do well with arrogant dogs, but at least they seemed like they cared for the well being of the team.

Tahoe... now Tahoe was going to be a challenge, considering they were a jerk right from the start. He'd have to put them in their place. He knew they were probably not as experienced as him, and he wasn't going to let that stand.

Pigeon, again, caused too much trouble. She seemed to have this victim mentality. He could tell something had happened to her, but she took it out on everyone else. If your mind isn't in the game, don't play it. He had plenty of trauma under his belt.

And the backup pups, Elvis and Athena. Elvis seemed happy go lucky, but for some reason, sided with Blu all the time. Their comments that he had heard were backhanded, even if they didn't realize. Athena he hadn't seen much of either.
