Darren Lee Greyson | 46 | M | Penny & Lupin | Location: Woods | M: Penny . The sun peeping through the tree canopy shon down on Darren and Penny as they traversed further into the woods along the earthy and snow path, Darren surveying which tree's would be right for him to bring home today. Penny's shod hooves crunched down onto the snow sinking in with each step before reaching for another flinging some of the off white snow briefly into the air, most of the snow leading up to the woods wasnt as muddy because it wasnt a heavy traffic area that people rode through. . Glancing at the tree's with a calculated look Darren nodded to himself before bringing Penny to a halt near some tree's that looked of good quality like they needed at home, Pennys feathered legs coming to a halt as did the cart wheels soon after Darren promptly came down from the cart seat. The snow crunching and slushing beneath his feet he made his way around the wooden cart to the back where he rummaged around for his axe, some rope incase he needed it and a sack full of some foliage for Penny to snack on while she waits for him. Plopping the sack down infront of Penny she made quick work of inspecting its contents and nibbling on them while Darren made his way over to the medium sized trees, He wasn't going for a large amount today he mainly wanted to refill the stock on their fire wood for the heating systems and such. . Soon enough Darren began chopping down a few of the tree's and hacking the pieces of wood to be small enough for carrying to and from the cart and so they'll be nicely organizeable. A few of the tree's Darren recognised from the past several years he'd planted seeds and seedlings to replenish the forest during the few warmer months. Some of the seedlings from the last warmer season looked like they were growing well and would make it through the winter to his gratefulness. . . Anastasia Roux Greyson | 23 | F | SF Clashing Worlds | Location: Barn | M: Clan, Town Folk . Finishing up Clan's grooming session she put his tail into a half braid to attempt to save it from the slushy mud then lifted his halter from the hook next to his stall door, Sliding it onto the geldings face and clipping it together along with the lead rope she led him out of his stall and clipped him into the cross ties in the isle of the barn. Traversing to and from the tack room she brang up his tack consisting of a black dressage saddle, his white saddle pad and a gel topper to cushion it more, black bridle and his white quarter sheet to shield his hind end from the elements. . With Clan geared up and ready to go Anne put her black riding helmet on before making some last minute checks on the girth and other parts of the tack per what her father had taught her to do when she was young. Everything in check and the girth all done up she led the tall bay out of the barn leaving his halter unclipped from the crossties and rested on the hook next to his stall door. Coming out into the elements Clan let out a snort watching as the heat from his breath briefly clouded the air along with his normal breaths following, "Stand there nicely for me won't you" Anne smiled softly as she collected her reigns and put her foot into the stirrup before mounting up. . Finding her other stirrup she collected herself before surveying the surroundings watching as the other folk seem to be more lively as the morning came into full swing. (I use a spade on my cutting horse lol! ) Opal-mae Lilland Duffel "Opal" | F | 23 | bambi & quin| mentions: bingo bambi quin . Opal pushed her heels down in her stirrups, standing in them to see if she could spot Darren, she could see the glint of his axe through the trees and the bulky silhouette of the man. Sitting back down in her saddle she maneuvered quin down the road with minimal contact her focus mostly on the limping pony behind her. Bambi jumped over the ditch with zero grace at all, she looked like a large clumsy rabbit as she stumbled through the slush to go and greet Darren. Opal took the horses down the driveway picking up a hand to wave respectfully at anne. When she got to the edge of the clearing she untied bingo from the saddle horn and dismounted, tossing quins riens over a nearby tree branch. "Sorry for dropping by unannounced, bingo got stuck against the wall and tore his shoe off flailing" She explained as she approached him. Staying at a respectful distance she squared bingo up "normally I would just pull his other hind myself and wait until your scheduled to come shoe them next, but with this being one of the last warmer weeks I don't want my brothers using horse crippled"

Emily Woodstock | 30F | Yarra and Destiny | Mentions: Darren and Penny and others | As the group came to a little hidden valley which was covered by the canopy, protecting some prescious flowers and herbs from the harsh weather. Emily leaned back in the saddle and rested her reins on the saddle, signalling the mare to halt "I'm blessed to see these still surviving.... I'm going to need as much as I can... The town is going to need these especially when illness arrives" she softly spoke as she glanced around, dismounting. Once on the group she grabbed a basket from the saddle and wondered over to a few plants and started harvesting. Emily got only halfway before she heard the distant wood chopping, nothing unusual as everyone in town was doing their part as these loud noises were expected. She smiled a little before returning to her harvesting "ooh!! These berries look amazing guys!" Calling over to Yarra and Destiny but was unaware that... One of hers was no longer apart of the group. Yarra had ran off towards the sounds of wood chopping, he was usually good staying put but he was very much known to let curiosity take over him. As the sounds got louder, the dingo slowed down and crouched down as he approached the scene, almost like he was stalking and hunting pray... But he would only do this in the most playful way he could... Usually would scare some of the towns people but Emily would always reassure that he wouldn't hurt a fly. Which he wouldn't. Yarra came to a stop as he lowered his body on the ground as he watched from a distance but as others approached he snuck a little closer towards the group. With one look he would one would mistake this dingo as a coyote which may spook some. Trying his hardest to stay hidden, he crawled to the freshly made wood pile and stayed hidden for the moment. Emily turned around with her basket full and walked up to Destiny who seemed to be unsettled for some reason "hey... Hey... What's the mat.... Oh No..... YARRA!" she groaned quite annoyed knowing her canine left. Destiny heavily disliked being separated from her friend, Yarra was like a calming rock to Destiny... So getting Destiny to corporate right now was going to be hard. Emily quickly walked over to Destiny and opened a bag which she tipped the fruits and herbs in the bag before closing the bag and mounting Destiny "come'on.." she sharpy spoke as she leaned forward in the saddle and giving the mare a lite tap on the sides. The mare quickly leaped forward as she cantered forward, following the light scent of her canine friend. "I hope that bugger isn't causing trouble..." She angrily spoke as she tightly held onto the mare.

Darren Lee Greyson | 46 | M | Penny & Lupin | Location: Woods | M: Opal, Quinn, Bingo, Yarra, Penny . After the last swing Darren let out a small huff, listening as the tree made a whine before giving way onto the snowy ground giving out a little puff of snow into the air. He pulled down the part of his jacket that had been partially covering his face to get some fresh air, the coolness of the air quickly cooling him down from the sweat he'd worked up bringing down some of the tree's he needed. After a moments rest he chopped the tree that'd just come down into some smaller more managable sized pieces. After the swing of his axe he saw some movement from the corner of his eye, turning his head to see who was approaching it was one of the other town members riding a brindle horse and towing another behind her and a dog coming in front. . As they grew closer Darren's eyes were set on how the palomino who he soon learnt went by the name Bingo was limping, resting his axe on his shoulder he turned himself towards them watching as she dismounted. He grimaced hearing the story, looking at the gelding with some sympathy on how that hoof wouldn't be feeling great right about now. Taking in the information she'd given him he briefly thought to himself looking over the horse, "Yeah we'll have to get that put back on won't we" He responded while moving around to the back of his cart to place his axe and other tools back in. . "I'll have to grab my farrier tools from home first then i'll see about putting it back on" He added, something moving in the corner of his eye once more. Darren turned to notice a familliar looking canine creeping near the wood he'd just cut down and chopped up before, his gaze moving back to Opal. Penny's ears were flipped back a few times listening to the conversation and movements but lipped at the remaining foliage in the sack infront of her. . . Anastasia Roux Greyson | 23 | F | SF Clashing Worlds | Location: Barn/Moving to Treeline | M: Clan . Anne adjusted her seat in the saddle before giving some squeeze with her legs to move forward, Clan responded stepping forward into the slushy snow. She rubbed the leather of the reins with her gloved fingers feeling them move with Clans head and movement, she was thinking about what had yet to be done in preperation for the hard winter to come. She knew her dad was chopping some wood from the forest today and had the cart so she figured checking on the seedlings in the other areas would save her father some time to focus on what he was doing because she also knew people would be coming for their winter shoes as well now, Clan himself could probably use switching to some ice shoes because traction would be hard when the cold night makes the slushy snow slippery. . Taking his current state of shoes into mind Anne chose the easier pathways for Clan to walk through, the tall bay making his way to the side opposite of Anne's father to walk along the treeline. Anne surveyed the health of the tree's watching as some small creatures sprinted away at the sound of the Bay's footsteps, noticing one of the bigger tree's had fallen over sometime in the past few days she made a mental note to come back out later and clear the pathway up. It wouldn't be too much of a problem with it being a good ways away from the town buildings but made it a little hard if you didnt wanna go off the pathway into the thicker snow. . Coming off the pathway and around the fallen tree Clan needed a little extra tap as he trudged into the deeper snow to go around, The gelding huffing as some of the snow flung up and touched his belly. "Oh i'm sorry about that Clan" Anne smiled with a soft chuckle, giving him a pat on the neck coming back out onto the path.

Opal-mae Lilland Duffel "Opal" | F | 23 | bambi & quin| mentions: bingo bambi quin . Opal nodded as Darren spoke "yeah no problem" she told him as she reached over to adjust bingos halter. Her leg was still slightly sore from where bingo had kicked her while flailing around like a idiot. Seeing the coyote like canine keeping across the snow she whisled "heel bambi!" The big Barnese wagged her tail and bounded through the snow and sludge, a mess of mud and ice across her dappled coat. When the soft eyed dog spotted the dingo she let out a inviting woof her tail wagging so so hard was hitting opal and bingos legs withe enough force to bruise. Quin pinned her ears at the draft mare from the tree she was tied to, her slightly arched nose sticking out gracefully as she tried to make herself seem superior. + Dustin James Duffel "Dusty" | M | 13 | Bullseye & Bingo| Mentions: bullseye, Dustin finished feeding horses and trudged out into the pasture to get rosko the mule. bullseye bounced up to him wanting treats, but was shoved away so Dustin could halter the big eared chestnut. Leading his steed out of the pasture he walked him into the barn and tied him to the tie rail. He had tried to get opal to put crossties in the barn but she said that crossties didn't teach a colt how to stand mindfully so here he was trying rosko to a solid rail. He ran the Curry comb and dandy brush over the mules coat before tossing on a saddle pad and then throwing on the saddle and cinching him up. Dustin led the rosko outside and slid the correctional into his mouth before putting his foot in the stirrup and swinging into the saddle. Edited at March 22, 2026 10:48 AM by ghost light stables

Emily Woodstock | 30F | Yarra & Destiny | Mentions: Darren, Penny, Bambi and Opal | Yarra jumped up on the pile of wood, presenting himself to everyone. Yawning a little as he balanced himself on the wood with his eyes wondering around taking in the scene before the playful bark from the female barnese took his attention, tilting his head interested in this canine who just seemed to want to play but the words of owner tried to settle the dog. He jumped down and trotted over to the female canine with his head lowered as he sniffed the ground but keeping an eye on the owner for any reaction to him approaching. He laid down just in front of the ground, waging his tail... Showing some form of submission to the group that he wasn't a threat... Just begging for pats. Emily and Destiny traveled through the thick forest to try and catch up to Yarra as quick as possible. Destiny being a much slender build than most of the horses, it was tough but she was mountain bred and could easily move around the environment with little effort. Not far away, Emily slowed Destiny to a walk as she could hear conversation up just a little further "well.. if he ran off it would be worth these guys.... The little turd" she groaned quietly as she dismounted, grabbing the cotton reins and lead Destiny, walking towards the voices "let's go get our trouble maker" she chuckled quietly As the group came into view, Emily took off her black akubra hat as she looked to Destiny briefly before looking towards Darren and Opal as she approached going towards Yarra "my apologies for inconvenience.... I hope this one hasn't caused trouble again" she apologized as she clicked Destiny to halt, placing the hat on the saddle before grabbing what seemed to be like a harness and long leash for Yarra.

Darren Lee Greyson | 46 | M | Penny & Lupin | Location: Woods | M: Opal, Bingo, Yarra, Bambi, Penny, Destiny, Emily . With plans now arranged to get Bingo's shoe back on as soon as possible for the sake of his owner and Bingo Darren began finishing up what he was doing so they could head back. Loading the wood into the back of the cart it moved slightly with each log that rolled on and into place, stacking them up nicely and leaving enough room for his woodchopping tools to sit up near the back of the seat. Penny being faced in the opposite direction unable to see the others feeling the shifting of weight on the cart perked up, from routine she knew it meant they would be getting a move on soon. . Checking to make sure the logs were all secure and lifting the tray on the cart back up, latched into place so they didnt roll off while they were moving. Darren watched with an amused expression on his face as the dingo looking canine came over showing some interest in Opals dog, he knew he'd seen the dog around before but he couldnt quite remember it's name. Cut short on his thoughts he heard another set of hooves approaching, Darren waved a greeting. "No harm done here" he smiled, "We were just heading off, looks like curiosity got the best of him". . Everything in check Darren threw the empy sack that had contained the foliage he gave penny into the back before climbing back up onto the seat of his cart, collecting his reins he clucked Penny on. The draft mare leaned forward and began moving and turning with the cart, it was a bit of a wide turn as to make way for the cart but they managed to turn back around on the path in the direction that they'd come from earlier. Looking over to Opal and Bingo, "Alright i'll head back now to grab my tools and i'll meet you at the barn to fit his shoe back on".

Emily Woodstock | 30 F | Yarra & Destiny | mentions: Darren, Penny, Opal, Quin and Bambi | Emily smiled softly with Darren's reply "I'm not surprised... It's always something that catches this fella's attention" she replied with a soft sigh of relief that Yarra wasn't being a trouble maker like he usually does. Tends to scare some of the town horses. Emily slips the harness on Yarra as Yarra makes a high pitch yap towards Bambi, in a playful way just wanting nothing but to play with a new friend which he doesn't get to do much these days when he's out with Emily and Destiny. As she went to get back up, Emily noticed of Opal and her palomino equine, taking note that something wasn't right and shoes? It was a little light bulb went off in Emily's mind, wanting to help out as always "oof... I might have something that might help..." She turned around and walked over to Destiny where she tied the long leash to Destiny's breastplate, she then walked to Destiny's side in another bag on the saddle that seemed to carry supplies, she opened the bag and started searching "please don't mind the mess, it should be around here somewhere... Hmm ... Oh here here!" She happily spoke as she found a couple of tins. Emily made her way back to Opal, handing out both of her arms towards Opal with the two ointment tins in her hands "these are going to help... This one here" she looks to her right hand "this one is going to help your equine with his hooves, prevent anything nasty happening after he gets new shoes on..." She looks to her other hands, tilting it a little "I noticed whilst I was walking here, you seemed to be sore somewhere... Not carrying your weight on one of your legs... This should help with healing... All these are made from natural remedies from these lands" she smiled as she offered them to Opal, hoping she'd take them. Destiny flicked her dark black tail as she watched the heavier draft start pulling the cart towards the stables, letting out a whinny towards the leaving members as she turned her head towards the palomino, her ears flicked around as she remained where she was put.

(I'm going to cry, my Internet crashed and HEE deleted a 300+ word reply 😭) Opal-mae Lilland Duffel "Opal" | F | 23 | bambi & quin| mentions: bingo bambi quin Emily yarra Darren penny . Opal crouched down, offering her hand to the canine which in turn made bambi think that was her invitation to you play with him, so the 150 pound female bounced over with a wagging tail and crouched down to see if he would play. opal shook her head and stood back up raising an eyebrow at Emilys kind gesture "oh wow, thank you. Do I owe you anything?" She asked as she took the cans from the girls hands and examined them, when Emily mentioned opal being sore she smiled slightly "my brothers pony has a rock for a brain, when I walked out to the barn this morning he was stuck upside down in his stall, and instead of letting me help him he just flailed until he kicked me and ripped off his shoe" She explained as she untied quin and put the cans inside of her saddle bags, the black brindled mare stuck her arched nose out at destiny with her ears pinned flat back, opal gave her a sharp tug on the halter and the blmsrs ears instantly pricked and she turned her head to look at opal with the saddest expression on her face "oh how dare I not let you bite other horses" opal deadpanned at her +

(sorry its kinda short, i cant think of anything) Beau Lancaster || M || 25 || Annie & Laredo || Mentions: Annie, Laredo . As Beau sidepassed Annie out of the gate, he shifts his weight, nudging her forward into a smooth, ground covering trot. The mares hard hooves make the gravel crunch as she goes down the road. Laredo is jogging somewhere behind them, since appearantly the dog can't be left behind. . At somepoint further down the road, the point ran up infront of Annie, and the big mare pinned her ears and bared her teeth at the dog. "Quit." Beau says to them, and the mare put her head back in the proper carriage. . As the town comes into view, Beau slows Annie into a walk, and Laredo drops behind them to walk as well. . When they get into town, Beau hops off Annie and ties her up at a hitching post, pointing at Laredo to stay before heading into a store. Edited at March 24, 2026 06:09 PM by DSD Training Center
