Soot stood at the edge of the plain, ears slightly back as he watched his herd graze. Lia was off talking to probably anyone- she was so accepting that she'd likely have a friendly chat with a rogue. He snorted at the thought, ears flicking as his gaze slowly turned across the plane. They had been running out of grass back in their usual spot so he had moved them this way more, but something felt off. Wrong. His nostrils flared as he sniffed the air, muscles tense. The faint smell of other horses met his muzzle, alerting him to the fact that others were nearby. In the direction he guessed the scent came from, he heard a thundering waterfall, out of view but not too far away. They were likely there. To his knowledge, they were also somewhere around the Swallowhooves herd territory, but he wasn't quite sure where it was. It made him uneasy. He didn't want to be near any other territory- no, he just wanted his herd to be safe. That's it. In a week he'd have to go to the falls to meet the rest of the herds. He definitely didn't want to, and he wondered vaguely if the rogues would show up. +++ Teufel lifted his muzzle from the grass under the shade of the tree, his eyes narrowed in the direction of the horses he could so faintly see. "Sparrowshine." He spat lowly, shaking his head, his thick mane falling back across his neck. "Why are they on our territory." He muttered, annoyed at the fact that Lucifer hadn't attended to this already. He didn't want to go find the stallion who was supposed to be protecting this herd and the land, but if he tried to deal with it himself, that'd mean more horse interaction. His pelt twitched to get off a fly and he grumbled something under his breath. He scowled before moving forward, towards where the falls were, so hopefully he could see the Sparrowshine herd better and decide if they were a threat. His hooves were silent against the grass as he moved through the area, approaching the falls. |

| Pigeon ran and ran far away from Erik, in hopes he would not catch her. She ran to the waterfall, hoping to find someone who could help. Not realizing that she was marching right into the territory of another herd. She marched up to the herd she thought was her 'friend's, if she could even call him that. Right off the bat, she noticed a horse approaching them. She took long strides up to the horse and spoke. "Who are you and what is your business here?!" |
| She waited for an answer and snorted continuously. Hoping the now known stallion would go away from them. That was until she realized who he was. She took a step back and then shook her head. No! She told herself to stand up to stallions and she would! She stepped forward and looked the stallion dead in the face until he answered. | |

Teufel lifted his head and pinned his ears as he smelled another horse, disdain in his expression as she marched right up to him and all but snapped at him. "Ohhh yeah, just get mad at me off the bat. That's a great way to start a conversation." He snorted, peering at her with a look of half disgust half annoyance. His hoof scraped at the grass, stirring up wet earth. "Why should I even answer you?" His nostrils flared as he sniffed the air. "You're a rogue." His voice was flat. He didn't dislike rogues or other herds more than one another- he hated everyone equally. "Names Teufel. I'm technically still on my land." He glanced downwards in a pointed manner. He was still a little ways away from the waterfall, meaning he was on Swallowhooves land. "But as for what I'm doing, I am trying to figure out why the damn Sparrowshine herd is on my land." He grouched, his tail flicking as he eyed her. "What is your name and what are you doing here, in between all three herds?" He asked roughly. His gaze narrowed and swept across the plane before returning to her, his dark eyes now fixed on her. |

Legacy shook out his mane he was scavenging for herbs to care for a foal with an infected tick bite when he noticed he was a little bit too close to the shallowhooves border but thier was Japaninse knotweed on the other side of the lake. Most of the time other herds didn't mind when medicine horses crossed borders so the sparrowshine stallion plunged into the freezing waters swimming across to pick a few leaves off the plant. Leaving enough so if the other herd needed it they would still have plenty. He flicked his tail swatting the flies off of his legs. His nostrils flared as he caught the sent of the other herd. Plunging back into the icy water he swam back into sparrowshine territory the knotweed hanging out of his mouth. He slipped when he got to shore landing on his side and streaking his shoulders with mud. Snorting in embarrassment he stood up and shook hoping that no horse saw him fall like a newborn colt who stayed to far from his dam. His nostrils flared as he tested the air for outsiders again. He was still so close to the border that shallowhooves and sparrowshine horse sents mixed. With a sigh he jogged back to soot his bay coat streaked with red mud and his legs scratched up by the blackberry bushes next to the lake. When he got to the top of the hill he dropped the knotweed "soot?" He asked nudging his leader who seemed a bit lost in thought "soot, I'm back with the Japaninse knotweed, we can treat the fillys tick bite now" he shook out his mane hoping his leader wouldn't question the mud streaked down his side |

| Pigeon snorted "Pigeon... im here because as you can see... my ex is chasing me" she pointed to the right where her ex ran toward her. "I was hoping to get help but as i assume im not welcome here..." she looked down "Sorry for my attitude im trying to stand up to stallions more..." |
| "Oh! They're on your land?" She looked surprised. "Im sorry, continue what you were doing then." She began to walk away from him when she saw her ex getting closer and she hid behind the stallion with her bruised jaw. "Help me.." she whispered "Please.." | |

Teufel flicked an ear and turned his narrowed gaze to the stallion cantering up. Her comment about the attitude thing was rewarded with a snort. "It'd be nice if I could get a little respect. You don't have to treat me differently than a mare." He muttered, his muscles twitching as flies annoyed him. He tossed his mane in an effort to get rid of the flies, scowling in the best way a horse could. He was going to answer when she suddenly ducked behind him and the hoofbeats thundered closer. His ears pinned as the stallion drew to a halt in front of him. "What do you want?" He snapped, his head lifting as he glared down at them. His neck arched angrily and he struck the ground once with his hoof. "This is Swallowhooves land and if you don't get off, I'm going to give you a reason to." With this growled threat, he bared his teeth, dark eyes boring into them. . Soot was peering at the other horses when he felt a nudge on his side. His ear flicked in surprise and he glanced sideways, glancing at the herb, then at the stallion streaked with mud. "Did you stop for a roll break along the way?" He teased, flicking his tail before dipping his head. "Thanks. You can go give that to the healer and they'll treat the filly. Hopefully it doesn't get any worse." He mused. His head lifted again as he saw three horses seemingly arguing by the far off waterfall, unease prickling through his nerves. |

Legacy snorted swishing his tail and playfully flicking soot in the face with it "very funny, noni did not stop for a roll I had to cross the lake to get the herbs and slipped in the mud thanks" he said trying to look irritated but soot could tell he wasnt. Stnomping a hoof to get the flys off his leg he looked over at the herd "you worried about the shallowhooves?" He asked shaking out his dark mane. He stood out in the herd not because he had bold coloring sparrowshine was known for colorful horses. Legacy stood out because he was just bay. He had no socks or facial makings besides a very small dog on the very bottom of his lip. He cocked a hind leg "their herd is pretty occupied with rouges from what I can tell. I could smell the rouge mare and some other stallion who I've caught glimpses of through the woods but I don't think he has a herd" the short stallion told his leader as he followed his gaze across the herd |

| Erik laughed. "Yeah right whatever..." he stepped closer to Pigeon. "Make this stallion attack me and ill find you." erik spoke harshly and left. Pigeon got up and had tears streaming down her face "Thanks... you really saved my life there." she started to walk away from the stallion before speaking again. "Oh and... i like your coat.... it makes you étalon très mignon." and with that she walked away. |
| She smiled to herself as she walked up to her home where rivor lay. "Rivor! I just told a stallion he was a étalon très mignon, which means a very cute stallion..." She stood there wondering if he was even awake so she left him alone and headed for Ellias. | |

Teufel lifted his lip in a full on sneer. "She can't MAKE me do a damn thing. I just don't like arrogant, stupid, cruel stallions with the maturity of a damp shellfish." He snorted, disdain in his tone as he watched the stallion leave. His dark gaze turned back to her and he shook his head. "Did it because he's obviously a jerk. Don't thank me." He said roughly, then looked at her quizzically as she left. French. She may not know but he knew French. Why would she compliment him. He was literally the most unapproachable stallion ever. Whatever. With a grumble under his breath, he turned away, moving towards the sparrow shine herd again. . Soot chuckled quietly at their tone. "Clumsy, okay." He replied with a smirk, then nodded. "I feel like we're too close, but Lia wanted us over here." He said lowly, his pelt twitching. "I want to lead us over to a different valley, but she swears up and down that this'll be fine." A disgruntled look came upon his muzzle. He understood the rogues had been around, but he could spot another stallion coming closer. Was that the leader? He couldn't tell. "I know. The rogues seem to like being right outside their territory, near the waterfall. They'd better not come over here." He bit out. Soot was not trusting of other herds or rogues. The only horses he trusted were his herd. |

Legacy bobbed his head in agreement the medicine horse had known soot for all of his life he was only hardly a year older then soot so the two stick together as colts as the herd was mostly fillys. "If Lia insisted on coming this way there must be a reason" he said swishing his tail the filly had trotted up the steep side of the hill not realizing there was a shorted easier way. Legacy chuckled as he gave her a few leaves on knotweed "eat this and drink water straight after" he instructed before pointing her down the hill where the slope was longer and less steep. He turned back to soot nipping at a knot in his mane. He watched the stallion get closer to sparrowshine territory he snorted "I don't think that's their leader. I'm pretty sure that's their herd protector teuful" he glanced at soot "I'll go with you if you'd like to check him out, I'm obviously not the most intimidating horse but im still decently strong " he shook out his mane he was only about 14'3 at most 15 hands but he was stocky and from soots personal experience from fighting him as a foal surprisingly strong |
