Raina raised her brow. "Careful with mock courtesy. Bellamy and Mz will have your pelt, and frankly I might too." Her red and whit fur blew carefully in the wind. Raina was her usaul pup like self but after Mz seemed sick she lost the playful arrogance and began to worry about the team. "Cypress, yes? You are quite small for being a...What are you?" |

"So sorry ma'am, didn't mean to offend anyone." Cypress now *somehow* had a thick British accent as he straightened up. "Mz and Bellamy? Thanks for telling me two other names- let me guess, one of them is the big guy who looks like a freight train that's about to blow?" He inquired, refusing to let a chuckle escape. "Aw thanks, insulting my size. It only fools the sillier ones into thinking I am less strong than I am so it is easier to beat them, so please, take it for granted all you like." Cypress let out an indignant snort, yet he didn't sound offended. "Grey wolf and Alaskan husky... and you are right, I am not normal sized." He cocked his head, his multi-colored eyes flashing over to the other wolves. |

"June, Bel, Mz, Sky, denali and spirit. My...Our team." the malamute mix looked over the dog only milimeters taller than her. Raina was releved when the musher let he off the gang line with the others. SHe imeditly took int the new dogs' scents. "And yes that is bel. our second lead dog." |

Cypress perked his ears and listened intently to the names of the dogs he would be running with. Running was his life- the one thing he didn't joke about. Well, directly anyway. He turned his head to the other new dog before taking in and memorizing the unique scent of each dog on the team. He guessed this dog he was talking to was young... and the new male was young as well. He could tell. The others... not so much. "Sounds good. Nice to meet you all." Cypress announced quietly, nodding at the team. |

Lying in the ground with her head lying on her paws, June glanced at the two new males. New teammates huh? She thought to herself. Keeping a watchful eye on their body language she noticed Raina who seemed to have noticed them as well. “Raina calm down sweetheart.” She said in a motherly tone then letting out a big exhausted yawn. “They are probably our new teammates since we are going to need a bigger team by the start of the next race season.” Scratching her nose with the underside of her paw she then continued to reassure Raina. “Mz is just at the vet, he should be back in a while.” As she was introduced to Cypress she bowed her head slightly in respect but did not engage in conversation. June was not usually talkative to newcomers and liked to uphold her alpha like persona to retain her lead dog status. |

Raina licked her lips but listened. "Is this where you guys got me?" she beagn to walk toward a box with musher words on it when she looked in pups popped and she wagged her tail as they licked her face cheerfully. She looked back at the musher her tail going balistic, as the pup climbed out of the box to play with her. *** Then she looked at june and barked "LOOK AT THEM SO FLUFFY AND TEENY!!!!" |

Cypress's gaze flicked over to a largish female laying on the ground. Well, larger than him anyway... which wasn't hard to accomplish now that he thought about it. When she did not say anything but just nodded, and even just her body posture and the way she laid... Cypress could tell she was the leader. He didn't change his posture at all- he was new here and still had yet to find his ranking among them. Still- it probably wouldn't be very high because he was just a team dog. +They will respect me though... or at least think I'm funny. Or annoying. Or really, anything, as long as I get noticed+ Cypress thought with a bigger wolfish grin. After the conversation was quite obviously over, he wandered over to an open patch a ways away from the team and lowered himself to the ground. His ears perked a little as he remembered something the lead female- June- said. *At the vet*. Cypress cocked his head a little, his tongue lolling out as he thought about it. That meant one of their dogs was inured- perhaps old. Older than him, anyway, because he was still in PERFECT shape. Cypress swiped his tongue over his paw to remove some excess dirt before laying his head down with a soft sigh, closing his eyes. His ears still stayed erect though, swiveling slightly to pcik up sounds and make sure no one snuck up on him. |

"Yes this is the place." June said looking at the tiny puppies. "The vet here also has an adoption center." |

Cypress was snoozing off when he heard a loud bark, his head jerking up. He accidentally bit his tongue, which had been draped out of his mouth- +for what reason I have no idea why+ he thought- and promptly let out a small yelp. "Oof-" Cypress snorted, shaking his head as the taste of blood filled his mouth. Not the good taste of blood, like rabbit, but the bad taste of blood... like himself. |
