Qibli kept working his horse, stopping, going, turning, and switching direction. Once West had worked enough Qibli hopped on bareback and rode towards the cross country courses. "Let's see if we can make a good time, eh boy?" Qibli murmured, urging West into a trot. He decided to do the 1st one, since it was the easiest. Qibli had his horse canter and they went down the trail, approaching the first jump rather slowly

As she brought him into his stall, she grabbed the brush bucket from the bridle hook. When she closed the stall door, she took off his bridle, reached over to the hook, and hung it up.

❝ OCTAVIA HADISH // Rider's Lounge // Tags: Open! ❞ Octavia had arrived only recently to the prestigous grounds of the riding academy, far fancier than many of the stables she grew up riding and showing on, and although her mare, Daredevil, had seemed to quickly settle in, the brunette could feel in her gut it would take her a couple of weeks before this place felt like home. Her first order of business, Octavia had decided almost as soon as her feet had hit the ground, was to familiarize herself with every part of the property, so she wouldn't lose time getting lost around here. She had let one of the stablehands take Daredevil from her after letting the mare graze a little bit around the trailer to check out some of the new sights, just enough time for her to find her way to the dorm she had been assigned to (and, luckily enough, it even seemed empty, so she had first dibs on what bed she wanted) and drop her bags and suitcases off. Normally, Tavi might take time to meticulously unpack, but since she would be at the academy for sometime, she was more worried about hurrying back to the stables to see if Daredevil was at ease in her new stall. Grabbing only her phone and shoving it into the back pocket of her navy blue-and-silver riding tights, Octavia slipped by what she assumed were some of her fellow students already heading out to get comfortable with the riding areas. There was a bit of solace in the quiet (well, as quiet as a barn could ever be) of the stables, and she found her horse's stall easily enough down one of the aisles. The bay mare certainly didn't look anxious at all, although she was certainly attentive to each new sound she heard, for the most part she seemed more interested in sniffing at the shavings and getting familiar with the hay net tied in the corner of her stall. Octavia smiled, and even has to stifle a yawn -- Well, she was apparently more tired than she had initially thought. Promising to return to the stall as soon as she could, Octavia turned to find her way into the rider's lounge and made a beeline towards the coffee machine. She rummages through one of the cabinets, labbeled "For Rider and Staff Use", and grabs a plain mug to make herself a much-needed cup of coffee. Edited at July 1, 2023 03:30 PM by Red Haven

Qibli crouched over West's neck in a good posititon, which took a lot of muscle at the canter and bareback. He sailed over the first jump, going towards the second in a smooth fluent motion

Isabella grabbed the curry and started rubbing all over her horse. Once that was done, she grabbed the dandy brush and pushed all the sweat covered hair the wrong way, so that they were standing up. Before she was 3, she was doing that. It had always been taught to her that, pushing the sweaty hair the wrong way, helps it to dry. While she waited for that to dry, she grabbed the hoof pick. As she picked out his feet, she found no rocks. Once that was done, she felt the sweaty fur to see if it had dried. It was still wet. But, that meant Isabella could plait his tail and do a running braid down his mane. It may have taken five minutes to brush out his tail, then 15 to do the plait. But, the result was worth it. His tail looked elegant. And it would stay clean. To make sure it stayed that way, she left the stall for a moment and grabbed a tail cover. When she came back, she quickly sped through his mane. The running braid was done in seven minutes, exactly. His forelock was like, the easiest thing in the world. It took about 9 braid turns to finish it. Then she felt his sweaty fur again. It finally dried. She grabbed the curry come and started loosening up that fur, ridding it of the sweat. After, she grabbed the dandy brush and swept away any execs dirt or loose hair that came up. Isabella grabbed her spray bag and looked around for the green spot remover. "Finally." she mumbled to herself when she found it.

Eve awoke to the sound of loud creaking. I must have dropped off after doing some unpacking, she thought rubbing her eyes. She looked at her watch, realising she wasted half the evening already and tidied her hair before leaving the dorm. I guess she had to talk to the others at some point, she thought and made her way down the the stables. As she got closer she realised there were a few people bustling around and strided forward with mock confidence in their direction.

After a relaxing, uneventful trail ride Niko and W made their way back to the barn. Niko hopped off, his feet quickly hitting the dirt. He led Q into the barn and untacked him in his stall. He put Q's tack away, waving at girl brushing her horse. He efficiently took care of his horse and supplies, hoping he wouldn't be late for dinner.

Qibli tensed his muscles for the next jump, and his stallion sped up a little. He soared through the air over the hedge and smiled, loving the feeling of wind rushing through his light blonde hair.

After finishing the grooming part of the grooming session, she was exhausted, but it was worth it. She grabbed a cloth and a bucket of water. Carefully, she dipped the cloth in the water, only getting it a touch wet. She then prayed the green spot remover on one of his stockings, where he had slipped. After some scrubbing, she got the green spot off. She then felt her phone vibrate in her pocket and pulled it out. After answering a text message, she turned on some music. It was a randomized playlist, and the first song was 'Raise Your Glass' by Pink. Isabella found that she worked faster with the music. And within 5 minute she got the green spots off. After doing that she grabbed the hoof shiner and did some shinies on his feet.

Quail nodded when Wyn said he hadn’t checked his schedule yet. “I have mine, I just haven’t looked at it,” The boy replied with a slight shrug. Eventually, all of Quail’s belongings were unpacked and put away neatly with the exception of some things he had left in the suitcase that was lighter. It was just random things to keep him entertained when he didn’t have class and had nothing else to do. “Thank you for the help, I appreciate it!” Quail thanked his roommate with a big smile.
