Cyrus stopped and brought his gaze to Twilin. His face slowly, very slowly filled with shock, but it crumbled to slight shame by the end. He may be prideful and stupid and hot headed but he wasn't a moron. Usually. He knew Twilin was right. That hurt. "A nameless cub trying to fight a shark." He repeated in a mumble, wincing. "I wouldn't have hurt her..." He trailed off as he remembered what he had been doing. He might as well had his eyes closed and been slashing at a piñata. Cyrus sighed heavily. Again. "You're right. I was being stupid." He mumbled quietly, then a very very small part of him wondered if Ares was going to be okay. +probably not. I'm a horrible fighter. He needs to hunt to live and I practically carved a battle into his skin+ he thought, guilt washing over him.

tiwlin looked back a cyrus as he loaded she shook her head "not purposly you wouldnt" she replyed after he spoke before looking at the sky again

Farleap still didn't look directly at Cyrus, she watched out of the corner of her eye as Ares disappeared injured, she didn't know, but she was worried for the lion's hunting abilities. She finally looked at Cyrus when he said he couldn't trust her, her eyes dilated (Is that the right word? What's it called when a pupil goes from big to small?) "But Cyrus-.. You can trust me! I don't ever usually give a outsider the time of day, when i first laid eyes on that No-Mane, i told him to leave or else you'll come, but he wouldn't move, so i tried to chase him out which didn't exactly work. Than i found out he seemed... Somewhat different to your typical no-mane. But that is no excuse, it won't happen again Cyrus, you have my word" Farleap said quietly with her head lowered a little. She watched as he got up but didn't say anything to his last comment, she jumped a mile out of her skin when Twilin came out from up a tree "Twilin? What- HOW did you get up there? No, WHEN?" She asked looking up the tall savannah tree

twilin looked at furleap who she scared the living day lights out of "when the fight started" she replyed looking at her the glare still being held before she turned back to cyrus " the savannah is going through a really bad drout and we have one of the only clean water sources so to get in a fight TO LEAVE THE PRIDE UNATENDED is reackless and stupid over water" she told him before turning and jumping back into the tree

Farleap nodded as Twilin said she was up there for a whie "Wow... That is rather concerning that even I couldn't smell you" She snorted in a serious tone. Hers ears fell back slightly as Twilin spoke to Cyrus, he didn't need more pressure "Twilin! What are you saying?! He's our Mane. Don't you think you should... Go easier on him? I mean it's not HIS fault, he was doing his own patrol.. I guess you sorta have a point, perhaps he could've performed the fight a little closer to his land, but he was just trying to protect the pride, the territory, us." She said in defence, she saw Cyrus wince from the leg pain and sighed looking at Twilin and shaking her head "Why did he pick a fight..." She whispered so he didn't hear before walking up next to him "Here, you can lean on me if it makes walking a little easier" Farleap offered, giving a small corner smile and looking in the direction of the Sisters Step

tiwlin just layed on the tree branch with a snort at what furleap said +was i to hard on him+ she thought with a shake of her head +no he was being reckless+ she confirmed to herself

Cyrus shook his head harshly. "Twilin is right, I put myself at a big risk, which is just as bad as putting you all at risk because it does. That rogue, or, rather, Ares, could've easily killed me. I can tell. He was bigger, stronger, and obviously had far more fighting experience. Yet he didn't kill me. I may be utterly confused on that, but it did make me realize that for one, I need to be more careful when picking my fights, and for two, I shouldn't go out of my way to fight. It's stupid. It's not protecting the pride, It's putting the pride in more danger." He said quietly, limping forward again. "And thank you for the offer Farleap, but I'll be fine." He answered. Cyrus was more than ashamed at this point. He had acted rashly, rudely, and even cruely, and when it came to the end, instead of putting a maiming blow on him to stop him for good, Ares still only did minor damage. Yes it hurt, but it'd heal in mere days. The rogues wounds, however, might even take weeks to heal, and Cyrus knew rogues couldn't go weeks without eating. There were other meaner rogue males, hyenas.. everything was against the rogues favor for life, and it was all Cyrus' fault.

Farleap didn't say anything when Cyrus spoke, she just looked and listened, she wanted to tell him it wasn't that bad, but that would be a half-ish lie, and she knew he'd still beat himself up over it. she took a step back when he said he'd be fine, letting him go. How did such a good morning turn so... Into this? Farleap sighed and stayed near the water's edge for a while longer to think

tiwlin jumped back down from the tree landing next to furleap again she dipped her head to take a drink before slashing he paw in the water and catching a big fish she looked slightly confused on how she caght a fish but let it go after that she streached and walked back to the pride with a snort

Cyrus went straight back to the main part of the pride, laying down in a shaded corner under a scraggly tree, on the outskirts. He wasn't going to help the rogue. He hadn't come that far. However.. he did hope the rogue made it.

Ares felt like he had been laying there for hours. He was darn hot, his wounds hurt like nothing else, they wouldn't stop bleeding, he was lightheaded from loss of blood, and almost starting to regret not wacking Cyrus in the face earlier. One thing was for sure. He needed water. He just didn't know where water was- he barely knew where he was. He had always gone the other direction or stuck around the pride. With a groan of pain he stood, licking his biggest wound a bit before limping back towards where he had come from.
