Vindaria Female/Protector
Vinda glanced after Scar, trying to appear to not be watching as he moved towards his pine. She let out a soft sigh, then turned to the deer with reluctance. Digging her jaws into a leg she ripped it from the body, turning and trotting off towards her den. Settling down by the opening, where there was just enough shade for it to be comfortable, she set down the leg and glanced around again. She couldn't see Scar's pine from her position, but she could only assume he was settling down to sleep, or watch the pack silently, as he did at times. Her gaze traveled over the clearing, but no movement could she pick up. The pack was so silent these days. Lowering herself to the ground she grabbed the meat in her teeth, and pushed any worries from her mind while she focused on filling her belly.

Sage loner - The red heeler caught a scent of what seemed to be freshly hunted food, and honestly, Sage was getting desperate. Not bothering to double check the scent of what hunted the animal, thinking it was a coyote and hoping she was right, she limped forward, her limp having returned in the past couple of days, causing a major issue when looking for food. As sage got closer to the source of the food, she kept her head low and crouched down like she was going to chase off a cow. From her spot she couldn't completely see what had the food, and just thought maybe it was a larger coyote or something, but seeing the grey wolf right nearby the red one.

Scarred Thorn Alpha Male +++ Scar returned to the packsite, trotting slowly. He got closer and lifted his muzzle to the air, scenting... some other wolf. He was downwind, so he could smell it easily. He tilted his head and pinned his ears back, approaching slowly and cautiously. A second later, Vinda came into view, then the carcass, and a red wolf..or dog? He couldn't quite tell. Scar stalked out of the brush, muzzle lifted. "What are you doing on my pack grounds eating our meat?" He asked firmly as he stopped a couple feet away. She hadn't technically touched the meat yet, but with the way she had been eyeing it... it seemed like it. He didn't sound openly hostile, as his goal was not to directly drive them away, but figure out what they were doing here. He ignored the slowly aching throb in his leg, head tilted and dark eyes focused on the other animal. - (I'm actually not quite sure. We should try to keep it going. ....Restart it, anyway)

(I agree!! I love the relationship between characters far to much to be happy to let it end! )
Vindaria Female/Protector
Vinda was fiercely focused on the meat as she filled her belly, something she'd neglected for a while while keeping an eye on Scar in the past few days. As such, she barely noticed the stranger's scent a moment before Scar spoke. Lifting her head, she instinctively leapt to her paws, eyes narrowed as she stepped over the deer leg towards Scar. Her first wonder was why Scar had come from the forest instead of the pine, where she'd assumed he was resting, but that thought was quickly pushed away for a late time as she followed his gaze. In front of them, a red dog crouched by the carcass. Letting Scar do the talking—he was the Alpha after all—she assessed the canine. It looked starved, if she was being honest. And desperate. But what was it doing in the middle of their pack's dens? No canine in their right mind would try sneaking into an entire wolf pack to steal their meat! Scar's tone was firm and questioning, but certainly not accusatory, so she let herself relax slightly, lowering her tail and tilting her head to take away the tense manner in which she'd been staring at the dog. Scarred Thorn Alpha Male +++ Scar flicked his tail, standing tall, although he kept his weight slightly off his injured leg. His hackles bristled just slightly, and he kept his gaze focused on the red canine. They didn't look like much of a threat, considering he was twice their size and could likely take them on by himself, but he was still a little wary. Any animal that ventures into the heart of a wolf camp is either very stupid, very brave, or very hungry. Two of those were dangerous things that made them much stronger. He didn't want to underestimate anyone, even if it was unlikely. On that note, the canine looked starved. It was likely he'd give them his share of the deer solely out of sympathy. He could count every every rib in their thin pelt. Scar glanced at Vinda, making a mental note to talk to her after this before he glanced back at the red canine.
