Emily had gotten more than sidetracked at the house due to the fact that she had seen one of the staff who was in charge of room arrangements, and had been set to her room to put her luggage away, which turned into a full cleaning of the room. Then, she put both of her ankle braces on so she could walk a little smoother before heading back down.
When she saw Kholo, she breathed a great sigh of relief. "Oh, thank goodness. I was looking for an adult who could help. You're not going to believe this but me and one of the other eventing students came across a foal off this crazy trail in the middle of the woods chained to the side of a stall. His dam passed and we... well, we couldn't leave him, so... we brought him here. But, he needs help. And we needed your permission to have him here and care for him. I can figure out a way to pay the vet bills if needed, I just don't want to see another thing suffer today." (Cue prince lol) Edited at August 20, 2019 09:38 AM by Rishy <3 |

Apologizing once more for the collision, Tristan scratched the back of his head. She looked lost, super lost. He recognized the look, and, without being told, said, "I'm very sorry for your loss. I have a feeling you want nothing to do with anyone or conversations or condolences right now but I've been where you're at, and if you ever, ever need to talk, or want help, or just want to sit in my office in silence, whether it's days, months, or years from now, I'd be happy to offer the help." |

Whoa, this lady was so nice. Emily could hardly believe how nice the staff were. On another hand, maybe a little too nice, when it came to one of them...
"I--thank you so much!" Emily's eyes were bright and she had a big, beaming smile. The entire walk down she was going on and on about the experience as the adrenaline began to sink in. She continually added, "I've never seen anything like this before, it was like in all of those overdone horse movies."
Emily led her down to the eventing barn, where Luke and Gabriella still were, but everyone else was around too? Walking quite hastily. And where was Prince?
Walking Kholo to the stall, Emily said, "they found some formula for him, but he's probably going to need more than that with how malnourished he is. And he's going to need a bath..." And the list went on and on. |

"Oh um thanks.." -she finally spoke, a bit surprised that he was telling her this as her green eyes glanced down at floor. She still felt the pain coursing through her veins as her heart felt both broken & empty. She wanted to continue riding for both her & Prince's sake but fear of losing someone again was overwhelming her thoughts but does Prince want her to continue her life with another horse in the picture?- |

"Don't worry, it's nothing!" Kholo said kindly. But as they neared the barn, her brow furrowed. "I think something's happened!" she said urgently, breaking into a run. Her strong legs quickly covered the ground and she stopped beside Tristan. "What happened?" she asked him, worried. Then she noticed Heather's stricken face and her heart stated racing |

Luke walked back over to Gabriella and the foal. He got a wet towel and whipped the foal off a little. The foal made a suckling sound as he drank. The coat's dirty little tail swished around. |

Emily was concerned by Kholo's speed, and mustered an unheard, "wait up," as she speedwalked over on two ankle braces. Upon seeing Heather, Emily said, "I'm not sure why you're crying but I'm crying too," and hugged her tightly.
Tristan offered both young women curt smiles, his hands tracing the outline of his clipboard. He wasn't sure whether to excuse himself or stay. |
