Scarred Thorn Alpha Male Scar hadn't lost one thing... he had always been attentive towards others emotions, and he had always been really good at seeing it. Nothing had sucked that out of him. Now he wished he COULDN'T, because absolute shock and amazement were on her face as plain as daylight on a darkened wall. As plain as a jet plane flying in the sky with a banner behind it saying *I AM SHOCKED AND AMAZED*. She looked like he had just told her all the world's history since it started until now. "Wow, really, can't you look a little surprised?" He mumbled under his breath with a very slightly amused shake of his head. "Not taking that as an answer. As your poor, crippled alpha I demand you treat me with an ounce of respect." He snorted with a roll of his eyes, obviously joking. Scar's ears flicked back slightly with a hint of annoyance as she answered- well there went his hopes and dreams down the drain. IRIS HADN'T PITIED HIM. It didn't matter. Moving on. He let out a small huff at her words. "Oh don't worry, I am overjoyed to hear that I want to change and get back to who I once was as well! Glad we shared the same thoughts!" Scar let out a cough that very well could've been a laugh, quieting to listen. "Heeeyyy slow down Lightning McQueen, was taking a bullet for you not the TINIEST bit brave? AND YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I HAVE FACED." He snorted, not being able to help a small chuckle. Back when Scar WAS his old self, he was literally the most annoying/joking wolf ever. Anything anyone said he managed to turn into a joke. He could never lose that completely... it was the core of his personality. Without joking, Scar would be REALLY not fun to be around. Not just not fun to be around. At her last sentences and the slight eyebrow raise, he dropped his face in the dirt. "I KNEW I couldn't count on you NOT trying to CHALLENGE SOMETHING I said in SOME way. I liked Iris's response better." He groaned before shaking his head and lifting it. "I DO know that so you shouldn't feel the strong need to voice your absolutely perfect opinion again, eh?" Scar asked with a hopeful snort.

Vindaria Female/Protector
Vinda gulped slightly at his responses, getting some of her senses back on track. Oh dear. She had not thought her words through very well. Come on Vinda, get a grip! Stop babbling and actually say something useful! Where has all your good sense gone? Taking a moment to sort out the jokes amongst the seriousness. She winced at his first comment, then snorted. "Of course that was brave, anyone could see that. I'm just saying that you did that without a second thought, and also without a care for your own life. That was more reckless than brave, not that I didn't appreciate it just as much" she added with a slight twinkle of teasing in her eye, seeing as he seemed to be much back into his joking habit, which she was all too ready to join in on.
But his last words did make her wince again, dropping her joking manner, and re thinking her approach. Was she just being annoying? Maybe she should just leave him to rest... she didn't seem able to say a single thing right. "Of course... sorry Scar" she said in a suddenly subdued tone, her emotions changing like a leaf in a tornado. "I just...I.." VINDA get your thoughts together! Come on, one good sentence! "I know I have no right to have said any of that... I don't know what got into me" she said, reminding herself once again that he was the Alpha. "Of course you already know everything I said, you don't need me to doubt your ability to think for yourself. And of course, you have more life experience than I could ever acquire." she said, dipping her head slightly, pale eyes almost drilling into the ground. "I simply wish to offer my understanding, it means much that you would share any part of your past, or goals for the future" she said, then felt that it was really time to leave, her emotions whirled in confusion. If he preferred IRIS'S conversation more than hers, than she really should just get up and leave. That she wolf was not at all like her, except for her loyalty. "I should probably leave you to rest now, if you'll let yourself rest" she said, eyeing the poppyseed and then quickly pushing the thought of attempting to get him to eat them out of her mind.

Scarred Thorn The black male snorted. There was no getting anything past Vindaria without her pointing out either the truth, or just pointing out something. ""Without a second thought and without care for your own life to save another is not just bravery, it is love for your packmate, caring about another wolf more than you care about yourself. That is the definition of love, friendly love, that is. So maybe it was reckless, but I believe there is a song called Reckless Love (By Cory Asbury XD, great song)." He said quietly, defending his point of view without being rude. Scar tilted his head a little when Vindaria seemed to.. wilt a little. Had he gone to far? He didn't mean to put her out. Gosh, why did he have to ruin every semi-normal conversation he EVER HAD? Vindaria had been the closest thing to a friend he EVER had, and now he was being rude. +Why can't I just act like a normal wolf for once in my life?+ He thought, wincing as she started talking again, but this time about as excited and joking as a dead flower. "No, wait, don't do that. Don't shut down on me. I'm sorry for saying that- it was too far. I was just joking. I need someone telling me what I'm doing wrong or otherwise I'll never do anything right." He pointed out, feeling a stake stab into his heart when she looked absolutely drained and just stared at the ground. "Vindaria, don't leave. I'm sorry- this has.. been really helpful to me. I don't want to ruin it with my stupid words. I... haven't had a meaningful conversation with someone.. in years. Maybe even forever. First I was too young, then the only wolf that ever loved me was killed, then the only other wolf I ever MET was Lilah, and I've been so distant in this pack I haven't talked with ANYONE. You have helped me open up and endured my stupid, complaining, grumbling responses so please don't leave now. Unless- well.. if you still want to leave I ca't keep you here... it's fine. You should rest, anyway. You've helped a lot." He started hurriedly, but his voice slowed, and by the end he was quiet again his his dark gaze trailing on the ground.

Aspen Female Scout - Aspen didn't know what to do. Here she was, standing in front of her long-lost brother, and she had no idea if he recognized her. Actually, maybe she was the one who was long-lost. A strange thought. She had found her place in this pack, and now everything was all confusing and complicated. Aspen cleared her throat. Oak didn't move from his cleaning. Aspen coughed, and nothing happened. "Ahem. Oak?..." Nothing. Oak just kept cleaning. Aspen thought perhaps he had glanced up when she said his name, but she couldn't be sure. "Oak. Why did you... Attack me?" she asked, not sure what else to say. At that, Oak finally looked up. Aspen noticed that his faced looked much less care-free and jaunty then when she had last seen him. But he was still smiling. "I came to get you." He said simply. Aspen was utterly bewildered. "I... But... Why did you attack me?!" Oak laughed. "I wanted to see if it was actually you, and you kept turning away from me! I had to attack you to get your attention!" Aspen stood agape. "But... That hurt!" Oak's face turned darker slightly. "Well, get used to it, little sister. You're gonna get hurt in life." That's when Aspen noticed that Oak had many scars across his body, not just the ones she had recently given him. Aspen was out of words, so she just stood there. "Well, are you coming or not?" Oak asked.

Felicity waited for Bo to respond, she soon caught a scent "Um Bo? Is one of your pack members hurt!?" She asked flicking her ears nervously, she got up and cautiously walked around, ready for the pack to come up and question why she was here. She followed her nose as she sniffed out the wolf blood, finally coming to the edge of the camp, seeing a huge wolf laying on her side, her ears flew back worried. she lifted her paw and looked back "Bo!?" She called looking back at the collapsed Wolf. Concern filling her eyes. She suddenly ran, out of the area to a far off lake, where she remembered seeing patches of moss from when she was running from Lilah, Jock and Boulder, Felicity grabbed some of the moss but didn't wet it, this breed of moss could be dangerous if it gets wet before use. She ran back swiftly, almost hovering through the woods back to the pack, and the hurt wolf, she put the moss into her wounds and sat, waiting Edited at February 16, 2024 09:40 PM by Hyrule_Stables
