Deliah ~ "You're right but perhaps the coyote was hunting earlier. For all we know it could be long gone by now." Deliah was silent all the way back to camp. There was an unfamiliar wolf scent. Deliah's ear twitched but it was probably another wolf joining the pack. Which was strange as they hadn't even been gone for that long. Sighing, Deliah headed to the shade of a tree and settled down. With a yawn, she rested her head on her paws for a nap. |

Vinda frowned at his response. "No, but you obviously do! What on earth happened?" she burst out, looking worriedly at wounds on his leg... bite wounds. "Wait, never mind, that doesn't matter, right now that wound needs to be treated, you know that as well as I do. I can easily go get some herbs and soaked moss from the den..." she said, pausing enough to wait for his answer, as he was Alpha, but with half worried, mostly stubborn, expression on her face. She was not going to take no for an answer anyway. |

Scarred Thorn Alpha Male Scar opened his mouth to cut Vindaria off so she didn't go worriedly rambling on but he was too late. He waited through the concerned lecture, about to answer when he noticed a wolf he had NEVER seen before talking to Bo. +What is HAPPENING around here+ he thought, but Bo was capable of protecting himself and others so Scar left it alone. "There was a fight with some wolves I thought I used to know." He answered quietly, wincing when she started on about herbs and moss. "Well this time I'm not getting up to get it myself so if you have your heart set on helping the most grumpy non social wolf in the pack you go right ahead. I can't stop you.. in this condition, anyway." Scar snorted, his ear swiveling a little. |

Aspen Female Scout - Now Aspen heard nothing. Just the sounds of trees rustling and squirrels chittering and birds chirping. Nothing else. Aspen changed to her sense of smell. She tested the air. Nothing. All of a sudden, something large and red burst out from the patch of thorn bushes behind her. It attacked her, first biting at her left leg, then scratching claw marks down her back. Aspen was so surprised, that at first she couldn't bark fro help. When the red dog (Aspen could now see that that was what it was) lunged at her neck, Aspen found her voice. She barked twice, but nothing more, because she didn't want to lead this ferocious animal back to the pack. Aspen dodged the attack and started one of her own. Soon the two were rolling on the ground, biting and scratching until they were both so bloodied that they couldn't fight anymore. - As the two dogs separated for a temporary treaty to tend to their wounds, Aspen finally got a good look at the other dog. It looked... well, it looked just like her. Red, shaggy fur, two different color eyes... then Aspen gasped. She knew those eyes. She knew that nearly-tan red fur. It was Oak. Her brother. |

Vinda frowned at this. Wolves from his past? She was intensely curious, but she pushed away her innate need to know the answers to things, and nodded, then huffed slightly. "You're only grumpy because you think you need to be" she said with mildly narrowed eyes, then nodded and spun, loping off to go find the herbs. "He'd better not move an inch until I get back" she murmured warningly to herself as she entered the den, beginning to poke around as she searched for the herbs necessary. Plantain.... yarrow.... Chervil... cobweb. She paused when she came to the poppyseeds. Could she get him to eat them? After a moments hesitation she added them to the already rather large pile, then remembered she still needed the moss. Glancing around she picked up the spongy plant, dipping it in the puddle that was thankfully still there, then adding it to her pile and carefully picking it up, trotting back out of the den and heading towards Scar, determination on her face. |

Scarred Thorn Alpha Male Scar knew he would have to explain the story all over again to Vindaria, but he also somewhat thought that she deserved to know. She had been scarily determined to make sure he didn't die, so that was nice. He grunted at her words, completely NOT believing them. He was grumpy so wolves DIDN'T try to do what SHE was doing so he NEVER made friends and didn't hurt anyone. Boom, all his problems except for lonliness and wolves not understanding him solves. Scar considered sneaking away while she was getting herbs, but after one attemp at moving agony coursed through his leg, making him flinch back into his regular position and not dare move again. As Vindaria came back with the PILE of herbs he eyed it warily. "I'm not dying, you know. This isn't an *all herbs on deck* kind of thing." He commented drily, his ears flicking back slightly and his front paw curling in closer to him. Scar hated being helped by others, which was partially his pride, but mostly because of Lilah. |

Aspen Female Scout - Memories washed over Aspen when she recognized her brother. Mostly small ones, like rolling down a grassy hill or eating deer together. But one stood out more than the others. Aspen became dizzy, but whether it was from being wounded or something else, she couldn't tell. - Rain pelted the ground, and thunder boomed in the distance. Inside their small cave, two-year-old Aspen shivered, though not from the cold. Lying next to her was her older brother, Oak. She had snuggled up to him during the frightening night, and he hadn't objected. Aspen was about to drift off when a sound woke her. She looked around the cave for its source, but saw nothing.The only things in the cave were her and Oak. Then something moved to block the moon's light from entering the cave. A large figure, outlined in moonlight, stood in the cave's entrance. It was a black wolf. Aspen was frozen stiff with fright, but Oak was not. He had heard the wolf appear, and was getting to his feet. "Stay here." He whispered to her, and stepped boldly forward. He stood defiantly in front of the wolf, who was intent on an easy meal. He drew back at the sight of this little pup standing up to him. But he recovered, and snarled, a sound Aspen would never forget. He lunged at Oak, but her brother dodged the attack and darted in, biting the wolf's leg. Stunned, the creature stood there for a second, then, deciding that fighting this little gnat was too much work, the black wolf left the cave wihtout a backward glance. Oak turned back to Aspen, smiling. - Aspen's brain rebooted, and she noticed that now it was raining in the real world. She looked at her brother, who was now cleaning his wounds and completely ignoring her. Did he recognize her? If so, why had he attacked her? Aspen was very confused, and still quite dizzy. |

Vinda looked at him searchingly, satisfying herself that he hadn't attempted to move, then snorting at his comment, placing the herbs down so she could speak. "Well with that attitude you might end up dying" she retorted just as dryly, giving him a surprisingly fierce look, then nudging the herbs to sort them out. "And I did not bring all the herbs, I just brought a few to help stop any bleeding that might occur when you start moving again, or when I wash it, and then some to stop infection." she added, quickly leaving off the fact that she'd also brought poppyseed. She could attempt to cross that hurdle after she'd tended to his leg. "Now then, hold still and for heavens sake don't try and pull your leg back, you might make it open up again" she said, giving him a mild glare before reacing for the soaked moss. |

Scarred Thorn Alpha Male "I have survived (I think he's 6?) 6 years without dying yet!" Scar retorted, only a bit of surprise at her harsh comment showing. Still, he deserved it. "And I've been shot before, attacked by grizzly's, attacked by wolves, trapped by hunters, and attacked by numerous other canines and felines including a really angry mountain lion. I am still alive. I would live through a gunshot wound and three puny wolves attacking me." He pointed out haughtily. "You obviously brought more than any self-respecting wolf could ever use." He grumbled under his breath, but resigned to just accept his fate. "For heavens sakes I would never." Scar shot his voice up 4 octives, made a grumpy face, and narrowed his eyes, looking a lot like Vindaria. |

Felicity growled lightly as Bo came up but stopped immediately when she saw it was Bo "Oh sorry Bo... I thought those three wolves were back.. Yeah I did enjoy my breakfast!" She said happily, her tail flicking the ground |
