Jack found Midas's stall easily, and brought the gelding out to a set of cross ties and began grooming him. The palomino had evidently rolled, since he had patches of dried mud caked on to his shoulder and back. Once the mass of dirt was off, Jack swapped his curry comb for a stiff brush, and whisked it over the tall gelding's body, moving slowly but confidently around the head-shy horse. Just as he finished picking his hooves, Jack heard a voice from behind him. He spun around just in time to see the other young man grab at the grey's neck before crumpling to the ground. Jack dropped the pick from his hands and rushed to the other, a few choice words coming out in a panicked whisper. He dropped to his knees next to the figure on the ground, and quickly checked for a pulse. He breathed out a sigh of relief when he found one, then looked up to see if anyone around could help. “Can I get some help over here?” he shouted, just as loud as he dared. Yelling wasn’t permitted in the barn, but certainly this was an acceptable excuse.

(Doing a time skip for myself soo don't mind me :3) Heather Proudstorm | 21 | Eventer | Espresso Silhouettes "Mystery" and Titanium "Storm" | M: Sandra (Indirectly), Open -Heather would be driving back home to the facility, her and Mystery had taken home another win even though the colorful mare had knocked down one pole at the jump offs. She started to call Sandra since she asked her if she could dog sit Toby for her while she's away with Mystery for a show. She would have the woman on speaker since the phone would be on a holder that's connected to the dash board of her vehicle- -She would get a voice mail since no one was answering as she sighs then leaves a voicemail to Sandra's cellphone- "Hey Sandra, just giving you a call to let you know that I'm on my way back to the barn with Mystery. I hope Toby hasn't been to much of a rascal for you to handle and all - Oh shit!" -She would have saw a car swerve out in front of her as she tried to avoid the other car as her tires screeched on the road pavment but it was to late, both vehicles collided, both her truck and trailer flipped over a bunch of time. Once both her vehicle and the horse trailer stopped flipping, she was upside down, badly cut up from the broken glass as she had hit the side of her head pretty hard to knock her out but Mystery would have taken the most of the impact of the reck, leaving the mare in pretty bad shape than her owner, her phone had gone dead at that time which hunged up the call- Edited at April 9, 2021 11:44 AM by Aspen Fire ES

Kholo Mzi | 33 | Owner | Stable hand, Alex, Jack "Come in." Kholo glanced up from her desk as one of her stable hands walked in. James, who was in fact her most trusted confidante, looked uncomfortable in the office, hands clasped awkwardly in front of him. "What is it, James?" She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, glancing up at the groom inquisitively. "I hope you have a good reason for interrupting me in such important-" she paused to gesture towards the paper-covered table "-work." A low chuckle escaped her lips at this remark : it was no secret around the yard that Kholo was happiest around the horses, not cooped up in a small room with piles of work. He cleared his throat slowly, glancing down self-consciously at the floor. "There's - been an accident with one of the students. His horse seems to have thrown him, and he doesn't look very good." All mirth was gone from Kholo's face now. There was only one rider who this could be: Alex. The teen was comfortable on even the spookiest horses in the stable, and so she'd had no shame in giving him one of the harder mounts to exercise. They had passed her little over 45 minutes ago, heading towards the racetrack for training. Scraping out her chair quickly, she stepped towards the door in a few paces. She began quizzing James as they walked, eyes urgent. "Where is he now? Is there anyone with him? Grab the phone and call an ambulance if you haven't already." ************ Alexander Littlewood | 19 | Racing Student / Exercise Rider | Kholo, Jack indirectly All he could see was a billowing mess of the world above. It looked like a surrealist painting, with the sky blending with the trees as they staggered around him. It was slowly coming into focus - very slowly, though, and Alex barely wanted to risk opening his eyes fully. The light already seemed dizzingly bright, and he didn't want to imagine what it would be like in full volume. "Can I get some help here?!" "His pulse seems to be steady enough, I'm going to fetch Kholo. Will you two be fine for a few minutes minutes?" "Go - I'll stay here." The voices lulled as he drifted between realities, stuck in some halfway house between worlds. "Alex, can you hear me?" There was a frantic hint in Kholo's faint, distant voice that was unfamiliar with his image of the kindly instructor: fair, patient, and most of all calm. "Alex!" His eyelids fluttered open to Kholo's face looming right in front of his. "Thank God - I need you to listen carefully now." He struggled to clutch at her words, grabbing frantically to keep them in place. "Alex, listen to me. What's your full name?" Even in his half-conscious state, Alex could sense Kholo's anxiety. He couldn't quite place the reason for it, but somehow it didn't bother him as much as it should have. "Ale...Alexander Lloyd...Littlewo - Littlewood?" The words felt strange as they rolled off his tongue clumsily, almost as if they belonged to another language. He stumbled over them a few times, before managing to string them into a faintly coherent mumble. Why was everything so loud? He tried to sit up, but the sudden swirling of his vision (which he'd finally managed to settle) and a gently restraining arm pushed him down once again. Everything was blindingly bright, swinging gently like chimes in the wind. "Alex, stay with me. I need you to stay awake for me, alright?" Kholo's voice rescued him from the darkness just in time. He wanted to say so much to her - that maybe it was best if he went back to sleep, how peaceful it was in the dark, and how achingly bright everything had suddenly become. He wanted to ask for Majik, and where the man who had rescued him had disappeared to, and why everything was swaying like a willow tree in the breeze. But somehow, it felt like too much energy to explain all of that, and so instead he opted for a hopefully encouraging blink. But even afterwards, the world stayed dark. Black spots danced in front of his vision and he could feel the tug of the dark tide, pulling him back. I'm sorry, he thought, before he slipped unconscious once again. I tried, Kholo. I really did... "Up you go, young man." "Get the oxygen mask ready, we still need to assess the damage." "I'll follow them to the hospital, can you keep the yard steady while I'm gone?"

Sandra Proudstorm | 19 | Show Hunter (changed her from Show Jumping if that's okay) | The Great Rebellion "Shade" | School Horse: WO Legends Rise "Legend" | M: Heather (Indirectly), Open -The young dark haired woman would be sitting on the phone, trying to get a hold of someone as she was sitting on the couch of the rider's lounge, Toby sitting next to her on the floor as the large dog started to whimper a bit- "Another voicemail.." -Sandra said to herself, the sound of defeat in the tone of her voice while lightly pushing the few strains of her black hair back behind her ear then she realized that she had received a missed call from Heather then she goes to play the voice mail, putting it on speaker to obviously hear it better- -After hearing her older sister's voice and the sound of a crash, she dropped her phone. Her heart sanked while her stomach turned, fear and worry was now ruling the young girl's mind. She quickly got up after picking her phone up off the floor and started running out to the car with Toby, already having the dog on a leash as she loads him up in the backseat before closing it, she had already asked one of the stablehands to look after Shade, Storm, and Legend for her while she's gone. Quickly hopped in the driver seat, closing the driver side door as the window would be rolled up, the young woman would be frantically calling every single hospital to try to pin point where Heather is- Edited at April 5, 2021 11:03 AM by Aspen Fire ES

[just a filler post for now, feel free to throw anyone at him.] Lorenzo Biancci | 27? | Endurance / Stand-in Instructor | Open Lorenzo was just finishing up with his last lesson of the morning - that is, before he had a quick lunch break to recuperate, and then onto the next batch. The majority of the riders were easy to teach, but every so often he'd come across one that made him want to quit teaching. This morning, however, he had been largely successful. The first group of beginners - outsiders to the school, as this was one way Kholo could actually keep the farm going - was uneventful, with all of the young teens completing their tasks amiably. The rest of his workload had followed suit, with the exception of two mediocre intermediates in the 12pm class who were sure that they were verging on breaking into the pro showing circuit. Now he was walking down to the paddocks peacefully, leading Fairue to his pasture. The gelding was hot from their lunging session, despite the cool breeze blowing through the air. That was largely his own fault, though: the Appaloosa had decided to bronc for the majority of his schooling. He showed nothing of his earlier misbehavior now as he nuzzled Lorenzo's back affectionately, ears pricked curiously. "Ayy, shush!" Fairue whinnied melodramatically as they passed two horses grazing by the fence, tossing his head sadly. "You'll be turned out with your pasturemates soon, don't you worry. Now stay tchup still, okay?" The Spanish man shook his head mck-despondantly as the gelding proceeded to tug on the lead rope, desperate to meet the horses. He turned out the grey once they arrived at his pasture, watching him canter towards his buddies. Sky simply flicked one ear, while Zeus trotted towards the other gelding. Satisfied that all was peaceful, Enzo turned back towards the barn - he might have just enough time to grab lunch before his 2pm class.

Aaron Franklin | 18? | Jack, open "Good boy." Aaron stepped back from the shining grey to admire his handiwork. Romeo, for once, was free of grass stains and mud, and his true blue-grey skin shone through. "'S not gonna last long though, is it?" He smiled ruefully - although Romeo was one of the most well-behaved horses he knew, there was nothing that would stop him from rolling repeatedly as soon as he was turned out in a field. This wouldn't have been as big of a vice, if not for his coat. His pale dappled grey coat was gorgeous when clean, but an absolute nightmare to groom. "Try and at least stay clean while I put away your stuff, alright." Aaron gave his gelding a parting pat before turning away towards the central stable yard, grooming kit in hand. The barn itself was quiet, with only a few horses poking out their heads as he passed - most were turned out during the day. The exception was mainly schoolhorses being used in the next lessons, escape artists, or horses with an injury of some sort. It felt as if he was stepping into a crime scene as he left the cool barn for the stable yard - a siren was heard in the distance, while Kholo sprinted towards the parking lot. A young blonde-haired man was standing with a shocked expression on his face, holding both a champagne gelding and a handsome grey. Aaron momentarily considered asking Kholo what had happened, but she had disappeared. The other student seemed to be the only option left, and judging by his expression he had seen too much of what had happened for his liking. "Are you alright?" He rested one hand on the man's shoulder, eyes furrowed worriedly. "You look a little - I dunno, stressed, I guess. What happened?" All thoughts of Romeo had long since disappeared. He gently touched Majik's neck, massaging small circles underneath his mane, gaze still trained on Jack's face.

Jack stepped away from the scene, moving to grab Majik's trailing reins. He gripped the leather tightly as he watched the events unfold around him. First the Kholo, then paramedics, then the group leaving. An impatient whinny pulled him back to reality. Midas, still on the cross ties, pawed at the rubber mat underneath, tossing his head as much as the leads allowed. Jack swallowed, then walked toward the gelding, leading the other young man's horse with him. He knew he couldn't leave either horse unattended, so he unclipped Midas from the cross ties, gripping the lead rope in one hand and the grey's reins in the other. He stood there, both shocked and lost in thought. Surely the man would be alright, now that he was getting medical attention. He tried not to think about how things could go wrong. "Are you alright?" Jack looked up in surprise. "Oh. Um, yeah. There was, um, an accident. I don't know his name. I guess he fell. He walked up to me leading his horse-" he nodded toward the grey, "-and collapsed. He was just taken to the hospital. I'm not sure where his horse goes, though." Jack was slightly distracted while he spoke. Most of his attention had been turned to keeping the two horses apart. Midas, as he had been warned, didn't like most horses. The palomino was pinning his ears, and seemed to be considering whether it was worth it to bite the grey. Aaron Franklin | 21 | Romeo / Diva | Hunters / Eventing | Jack Aaron's face fell sympathetically. "That sucks, dude. Do you need any help with these two?" He ducked just in time as Midas reached over to nip Majik. The dappled grey neighed sharply, shifting nervously on his hooves. "They look a little unsettled. Or are you cool by yourself?" The gangly young man took a small step back, glancing expectantly back at Jack. "I will admit that I'm not exactly the most social rider here, but I don't think I've seen you before. Are you new, or am I just terrible at remembering faces?" He chuckled awkwardly, his pale cheeks filling with a dusty blush. Reaching for the grey's reins in an attempt to separate the two warring geldings - and to distract himself from his embarrassing failure at conversation - he tugged away Majik's head, holding the bridle gently to his chest. Horses always calmed him down, regardless of how hot-tempered or anxious they were themselves. He could direct all of his nervous energy into them, away from anyone else who might have been in the path of destruction, and ground them in the process. This time was no different - he could feel his face cool as he rubbed Majik's forehead, finally returning his skin to its usual pale palour. "The latter isn't unlikely, though. I'm Aaron. You?" He offered a quizzical smile at the blond man, his cheeks smplitting into a grin. "I ride mainly hunters, although I've been coerced by the cross-country coach to try out eventing. Plus my mare's a showjumper, so she needs an outlet too."

Anastasia Roux Grayson | 28yrs | Fuerte | Dressage/Barrel Racing | M: Open . Anne was a bit puffed out as she jogged down to the pastures instead of walking once again testing her limits hoping to burn a bit of the excess kilos while she had some spare time, Stopping in front of the gate a few horses were kept in one of them her big boy Fuerte she undid the slightly complicated latch before entering the pasture making sure it was closed behind her before she went after the 17 hand rugged up Andalusian known to bolt when it came to coming in unless you knew him well enough and came prepared with chopped up carrots. . Some clicking and carrot waving later Anne managed to summon the beast from it's group of friends but a grouchy look on him as he stopped with one ear back most likely debating whether he should do a runner, Before he could make up his mind she stretched out her hand to him a carrot lying on it watching as he devoured it quickly deciding she had treats and that was way better then planning an escape route with his mates. MK Muévete Suave (Fuerte) | 7yrs | Stallion | Dressage | M: Open . Fuerte while licking his lips after another carrot was handed to him looked down at Anne seeing her pull out the old halter it had mainly his smell on it but it had a bit of another horses scent on it which horse he had no clue and couldn't be bothered burning out his last few brain cells on the matter, Snapping out of dream land Anastasia already had the halter on him and was reopening the gate giving him a rush of excitement expecting mares, mares and just more mares but he was wrong it was tack, treats & arena's the treats weren't that bad but it meant work. . After the hassle of standing still for nearly half an hour Anne finally finished messing with the items on him and led him out to the same arena she had multiple times before for training, Only other time he'd been in an arena and it wasn't work related was when he took down a gate and it was getting repaired but she wasn't happy about that at all due to the fact she had to cover half the cost of the replacement which meant no money for treats and a very sad Fuerte

Olivia Lancewood | 16 | Dressage / Cross-Country | Cirrus | Anastasia Olivia skipped down from the far pastures, her hair bobbing with each short stride. Her cheeks were flushed from the icy air, accentuating their freckles even more than usual. The drizzle had cleared up for a few hours, luckily, meaning that although the path was still muddy from the frequent traffic, it wasn't actively raining. After watching Cirrus canter and buck around the field for about half an hour, Livvie had decided to return to the barn. The two riders she had been speaking to - or rather speaking at, judging by her record - had left, giving her almost no reason to stay, deprived of human companionship as it was. Not to mention that she may or may not be late for her dressage lesson on Oasis - Livvie had long since given up on trying to wear a watch, despite Kholo's frequent chidings at her tardiness. "Heya, Lorenzo!" Olivia's face lit up like a candle upon noticing the endurance instructor, changing course to bounce in his direction. She had always liked the Spanish man - not least of all that he often turned a blind eye on her many misbehaviours, but also for his general manner. He offered critique freely, but never made her feel as if she was a failure. It simply encouraged her to work harder. "So! Kholo said something that you were taking over the lesson this afternoon? Will we still be in the indoor arena? Or like, whichever one's the emptiest? - this place is so busy it's almost scary-" she dropped her voice for a conspiratorial whisper, before carrying on at her normal high-pitched tempo, "-She said I should ride Oasis for this one, since Cirrus is still in schooling for dressage-type work, so is that alright?" Livvie glanced up at Lorenzo, green eyes shining brightly. "You are teaching the lesson, right?" For the first time in the conversation - or rather, monologue - a hint of doubt quivered behind her excited words. "Like if not, that's totally cool still! Do you know who's teaching it then?!" She paused momentarily to allow an answer, looking at him expectantly.
