Darwin/Rory | FiVera, Brinley | M: Each other, Livvie

The Holsteiner and Welsh were chasing after each other, having no intentions but to catch each other and vice versa. Rory had started conversation, their blue eyes widening in excitment as they learnt more and more about Darwin. So far, Darwin seemed damaged, and was almost like a package with big bold letters that spelt out FRAGILE, but she wasn't quite like that. The non equine pair had walked over to a far fence that held a small enough log that would do well as a seat and decided to sit and chat some more.

They had just started to get into a heated yet non argumentative debate as to whether or not pineapple belongs on pizza, and which sauce was best as a base. Rory preffered bolognese sauce, whereas Darwin grimaced everytime they mentioned it. " Eww, how .. I don't understand. How does that taste nice? Doesn't the pizza base get soggy?" " No no no! See, if the base is cooked a little bit before you add the toppings then it just stays a little crispy and doughy!" Rory explained. Darwin just shrugged her shoulders, letting Rory know she still didn't understand, but was fine with leaving it where it was.

They fell into a peaceful silence as they watched the mare and gelding play. It was quite amusing, seeing how big Vera was compared to Briney. Yet they managed to have a fair go at each other.

Their silence was interuppted by a short, accented woman. Rory let out a small internal groan, not out of annoyance, but simply because she was a little too loud. Darwin liked the look and feel of this new woman, and found herself jumping straight into the bubbly conversation.

" Hi, I'm Darwin, this is my new bestie Rory. " Darwin's voice lowered to a whisper. " They don't entirely like being called, she. " Her voice picked up again. " I'm from Moscow, Idaho and Rory is from the outskirts of Dallas, Texas. " Darwin smiled. Rory cleared their throat before speaking timidly. " The little one is Brinley, or Briney as he's affectionately called. The big little kid is FiVeria, or Vera for short. We just met over half an hour ago. " They smiled briefly before flitting their vivid blue eyes back over to the playing horses.

Samantha / Mickey / M: Laurence,Emily,Lara,Lorenzo.
.
Her hand had dropped slightly from Mickey's back at the sound of what seemed to be footsteps leading away from the stable, having momentarily seen movement in the doorway Sam ushered herself toward it in a confrontational manner. Was some freak spying on her - why shed give them a piece of -
.
"Laurence."
.
She breathed, freezing as she watched the familiar disposition saunter away before suddenly jumping into action. But by the time she'd haphazardly thrown the brush in the box's direction, and flung the door open to chase after him down the hall Laurence was well and truly gone. Her face fell, eyes losing their momentary shine as they searched hopelessly for something that was no longer there.
.
She allowed her feet to take her back to where her chestnut was stood slightly confused about whether to leave through the open stall door or just wait for Sam to come get him.The strawberry blonde continued in her trance like thoughts as she shut everything up,giving her gelding an absent minded stroke.
.
Had she just been hallucinating? It was incredibly coincidental that she'd been thinking of him only moments earlier,so she shouldn't put the idea past herself. No he'd been there - Mickey had seen him too.She suddenly remembered it was him that alerted her to the movement by pricking his ears, and this only seemed to make her more anxious. This followed by the sound of people rushing around, and the distant view of people racing their cars out the parking lot made her certain of his presence. And that something was most likely wrong - Wasnt it always with him Sam acknowledged with a sigh.
.
Still, she couldnt get rid of the concern that was itching away at her insides and decided the best way to do so was to find out what was going on.Before long shed come across someone lunging a rather spooky horse, and recognised him to be an instructor. Then in the corner of her eye she spotted what seemed to be Tim,away in his fairytale land once more, most likely in another one of his crisis'.She figured he would have been more likely to know exactly what was going on being as Emily seemed to be involved - but with the way he was acting she thought she'd much rather take her chances with Lorenzo first,
.
"Excuse me - Do you know what's happening? You know with everyone driving around like lunatics.."

Heather Proudstorm | 21 | Eventer | Espresso Silhouette "Mystery" and Titanium "Storm" | Pet: Toby the German Shepherd | M: Open

-Heather would be out on the trail with just her two equines and her large goof ball of a dog as Toby was a little ahead of them but practically was staying in the red-brunette's sights. Mystery was enjoying the time off from training while Storm was acting more calm for once since he's gotten gelded a couple of weeks ago. The young woman closed her eyes, taking in the fresh air while hearing nothing but both the silence and the nature, her mind feeling more clear as if some heavy fog has been lifted, she had finally gotten over her griefing procress of the lost of Prince but she wouldn't deny the fact that she'll always miss him since he has been there for her since the beginning-

-Her eyes finally open, looking over at the colorful mare that was ever so gently nuzzling her pocket for treats with her feckled muzzle. Heather gently smiled at Mystery before playfully ruffling up the mare's mane while keeping the colorful gelding at a walk, quite happy that the two were getting along for once even though they do annoy each other on somedays, the young woman looked forward while Toby was still kinda ahead of them as the dog would usually stop in his tracks to look back at them to make sure that they were still there before continuing on-

-after a few hours, Heather would be coming back from the trail ride with Mystery, Storm, and of course, goof ball Toby who would look like a muddy mess since he decided to literally cover his whole self up from rolling around in a decently sized mud puddle. The young woman would have gotten her large dog to stay outside before taking the horses inside, taking the tack off of Storm first before doing basic horse care for both of them then she puts them both away in their stalls. The red-brunette walked back outside of the barn before getting Toby to follow her so she can get him all cleaned up first. After a while, the German Shepherd was finally clean as he didn't look like a mud monster anymore, Heather quickly sheilded herself with a towel as the dog shook the water off of him then she precedes to drying her dog up while she sat quite comfortably on her knees-

Olivia Lancewood | 16 | Darwin, Rory

"Aww, I love instant besties!" As usual, Olivia's statements were drenched in exclamation marks, practically alive with excitement. Voice leaping yet another octave, she carried on energetically. "I'm from Ireland, but I don't think you'll know my hometown. It's quite out of the way, and anyway, Ireland isn't very wellknown. This boy over here-" she leaned down to the gelding's sweaty neck "-is Cirrus, I actually don't know what exactly he is." She let out a sweet giggle, tossing her head back to clear the messy red-blonde hair from her face.

"Briney's so cute! Is he a Welsh?" Livvie cocked her head inquisitively, pausing for a short moment before carrying on in her stream of meaningless chatter. "I knew a Welsh mare once! Adorable pony, terrible manners, she was an amazing jumper. My friend rides her now, she's a gorgeous silver dapple with these super cute dots on her legs. Or maybe she wasn't a Welsh - I last saw her like, two years ago, so I don't know." She glanced up happily, fondling her mount's mane gently as she spoke.

The teen was clearly in seventh heaven, shoulders leaing dramatically as she gestured to the farm's nearby landscape, pointing out the visible areas. "So that's the dorms - they're pretty boring, but you bunk with one othe person so that's totally awesome. There are like, four arenas - actually, I don't really know." Cue another small giggle, this time paired with an amiable grin. "But there's so much cool stuff here!! "

"So you guys are new here, right?! What disciplines do you all do? How long have you been riding? I mainly do cross-country, but Cirrus and I-" a pause to glance down fondly at the gelding "-are trying out hunters and dressage this year." She shook back her head sunnily, beaming at the two newcomers.

Jack Williams|20|Ride Harley Davidson "Harley"
Pulling his truck to a stop, the young man stepped out, shutting the driver side door behind him. He walked around to the trailer his Ford was pulling, and opened the back, letting the ramp down. He stepped in, talking quietly to Harley so he didn't spook the stallion. Jack untied the Thoroughbred's leadrope, and led the tall horse out of the trailer. He checked his phone for instructions, then led the stallion to the stall he had been told. Once Harley was secure in the stall, Jack walked back to the trailer to unload his gear. It took him two trips to move his tack and trunk to the tack room, then he stopped at Harley's stall to make sure he had settled in before going to unload his personal stuff in his dorm.
Arriving late hadn't been part of his plan, but a mild bout of colic with another of his horses had pushed back his and Harley's departure.
He grabbed his bags from his truck, then carried them to the main house. He climbed the stairs to the second floor, and found his dorm shortley after. B2. He walked in and set his bag down on the bed. He would unpack later. For now, he walked back out of the house to go meet the school horse that had been assinged him. He had been told the horse, Midas, could be tempermental, but it was nothing he wasn't used to.

Lorenzo Biancci | 27 | Gemini/fairue | Samantha, open

Lorenzo glanced up inquisitively, dark eyes focusing on Sam's somewhat stricken face. The young woman seemed slightly distressed, possibly the most human-like he had ever seen her. Sam was was by now known around the yard for being a self-centred brat - Enzo had even had the 'privilege' of teaching a few lessons with her. This Samantha, however, was a change. Emotion behind her eyes that didn't seem to be caused by a misplaced halter, and something that actually resembled manners.

"No clue. Is there anything I can help you with?" His voice was friendly, with the hint of his ever-present mothering tone. Fairue's lead hung loosely over his arm, one hand resting on the Appaloosa's shoulder.

The gelding was slowly calming down, his bucking fit long since forgotten - by himself, at the very least. His eyes dropped slightly, head leaning into Enzo's body as some sort of support structure. Fairue was a very sweet horse, the few times that he actually calmed down enough to realize it. Almost the opposite of Gemini - Gem was a grumpy, fairly bombproof polo horse who had no qualms related to riding. Fairue, on the other hand: a people-pleasing horse who seemed to enjoy acting like a colt, with little focus or ambition.

"Hey, wake up!" Enzo flicked the lead rope lightly in the gelding's direction, jolting the sweet-tempered horse awake. He had been gradually shifting more of his weight onto the Spanish man's shoulder, now leaning slightly more forward than when they first halted. "We're not here to sleep, remember."

Heather Proudstorm | 21 | Eventer | Espresso Silhouette "Mystery" and Titanium "Storm" | Pets: Toby | M: Pasture, Open

-After a few minutes or more, Heather would be leaning against the pasture fence with Toby comfortably sitting next to her with his tongue sticking out as he panted. The red-brunette watched her two colorful horses run around the pasture like children playing a game of tag, a smile faintedly appeared on her lips but it soon faded away as she took her phone out, turning it on while opening her home screen up as she instinctively opened the gallery to just look at some old photos in silence, stopping at one particular picture of when both her and Prince was doing some Liberty work for the fun time as the large gelding seemed like he was very pleased by the activity-

-Heather let out a sigh and glanced up from her phone to see her two blue eyed mare & gelding looking at her, Mystery stretching her neck a bit to ever so gently nuzzling her hair which caused the young woman to smile again, placing her phone away in her back pocket in the process. She gave both of her horses equal amount of attention, Mystery has done so well in her Olympic training level that the red-brunette felt confident about going the second time round with her mare but she wasn't really sure of how to break the news to anyone-

Blair O'Connor | 21 | Victory (schoolhorse) | Heather, open

Blair slumped in the saddle, her reins slung loosely over the pommel. They were riding on some sort of path, most likely one of the many trails on the farm. The birds were twittering softly, the only other noise Victory's steady, muffled hoofsteps on the soil. The trees cast a lacey shadow on the brown gelding's rump, swaying slightly in the calm breeze.

The ride was supposed to be a calming influence. Kholo had taken one look at Blair's barely-held together expression as she stumbled into the arena half an hour late, and sent her off on a trail ride. Apparently, it would help.

She hated that the kindly instructor had to see her like this - hell, that anyone saw her like this. The woman was fully aware that she looked liked she'd been dragged through a tree backwards, but it was more than that. It was the way her face crumpled when she tried to smile, how even getting out of bed seemed like an unsurmountable task. That no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't keep her demons away. She had thought that coming here would help, that maybe, just maybe, she could wake up in the morning and be glad that she was still alive. But at this point, it wasn't clear whether it was a gift of a hindrance.

Victory snorted excitedly as they came in sight of a nearby pasture, with two horses and Blair's roommate. She hadn't seen much of Heather so far - maybe it was the fact that their lessons were generally private, or that Blair had been avoiding any exxcessive socializing. The two were similar in age, but that was were the resemblance stopped. Heather had jawdroppingly stunning auburn hair that fell to her shoulder blades, and sparkling emerald eyes; while Blair had coarsely-cropped black hair and dusky coloured eyes. Heather was a few centrimetres taller than Blair at an estimate, but somehow the eventer's manner seemed to amplify her physical height.

"Whoa, boy." Blair pulled herself out of her thoughts, tugging the reins anxiously as she leaned back in the saddle. The amicable gelding responded calmly, taking one more step before drawing to a halt beside the pasture fence. He let out a gentle nicker, ears pricked in the direction of the two horses.

Blair allowed herself a few minutes of silence, watching Heather stroke Mystery and Storm. The mist of the day still lingered, giving it an almost fairytale appearance. A faint smile pricked at her lips as Storm nudged Heather demandingly, before fading into the usual masked expression.

"Hey." Crap. Please don't tell me I just said that. Blair crumbled in embarrassment internally, feeling her face heat up. They were close enough now to have been heard, so there was no escape. Her only hope was that somehow, Heather hadn't heard the awkwardly loud syllable through the distraction of her horses.

Heather Proudstorm | 21 | Eventer | Espresso Silhouette "Mystery" and Titanium "Storm" | Pet: Toby the German Shepherd | M: Blair, Open

-When Heather heard a nicker that was accompanied by her roommate's voice, she turned her full attention towards Blair, giving the woman a kind smile that gently placed on her lips before speaking- "Hey." -The red-brunette said, she seemed like a chill kinda person even though she seems not very approachable to most that first meet her-

-Mystery looked over at Blair and Victory along with Storm, the gelding kinda pinned his ears a bit at Victory since he had a little stud in him while the colorful mare curiously stretched her neck out a bit to curiously sniff the other horse, she saw some resemblance between her and Blair expect for height since she has found the woman quite pretty in a complimentive kind of way. The old picture on her phone screen could be easily seen that held a younger Heather doing some liberty work with a younger Prince-

-Toby sat quietly next his owner, looking at both Blair and Victory as he would be wagging his tail in an excited manner but was soon calm down but Heather's gentle pets on his head, obviously being a good boi unlike Storm who was still pinning his ears a bit at Victory-

Alexander Littlewood | 19 | Racing Student / Exercise Rider | Lucifer | Jack, open

Alex sat stiffly in the saddle as he rode back from the school's racetrack, reins lying slack in his left hand. His right was draped carelessly over the pommel, its bone resting at an awkward angle. The young man was a mixture of calm and tension: his eyes were focused on the nearby trees obsessively, while his legs hung almost listlessly in the saddle.

Alex had managed to switch around enough lessons so that he could complete all his exercise horses in the morning, leaving the afternoons free for personal training. However, this also meant that he was exhausted by the middle of the day, unhelped by his sleeping issues and irregularities.

Magik was his last ride of the day. A tall, stately Thoroughbred, he was a handsome dappled grey with dark points, and a small snip between his nostrils. He was a bearably easy ride, once you got past the various spooks and hijinks. He was known notoriously around the stable for his eagerness to go, both a blessing and a curse - he wasn't nearly as willing to stop or slow.

Alex leaned down to pat Majik's neck, eyes still watching the horizon; and disaster struck.

The grey spooked explosively to the right, slamming his body into the wooden white fence. Letting out a terrified neigh, he half-reared as he tossed his head into the air. "Whoa!" By now Alex was clutching the saddle, trying unsuccessfully to halt the horse with the reins. As he tugged them sharply, this only seemed to further Majik's terror. He shuddered violently, paused for a shaky moment as if to collect his energy, and threw his rider with one last, almighty buck.

There was a sickening crunch as the young man hit the ground. Everything seemed to move in slow motion as he lay there for a few minutes, face crumpled like a piece of paper tossed carelessly into the wind.

Majik - the spook clearly forgotten by himself, at least - took a small step towards his rider, nudging Alex’s curled up body curiously. “Shush.” He pushed away the gelding, slowly unrolling himself, muscle by muscle. As far as he could tell, there wasn’t any serious harm done; although the world was swinging strangely, and he couldn’t feel his right shoulder very well.

“Shit.” Alex let out a hiss as he made the mistake of trying to move it, sending a jarring pain up his side. He half-walked, half-limped to Majik, grabbing the bridle with his left hand - he wasn’t going to make that mistake again. “C’mon boy.” His teeth were clenched as he laboriously led his horse in the direction of the stable yard, his hands clutching at the mane and bridle.

After an achingly slow journey - courtesy of the black dots dancing in front of Alex’s vision - they finally reached the yard. It was fairly empty, the morning rush long past. A tall, blonde-haired man was grooming a palomino gelding by the tack-up area, fully focused on the task at hand.

Alex managed a weak grin, the smile not reaching his eyes. “Uh - hey.” His voice was laboured, each word clearly costing him. “I may - need some help, here.” He managed to grab Majik’s neck just in time as the world spun around him, everything fading as his sight turned black.
