June nodded silently at Raina and after making sure everyone including Annalise was good to go she slowly made her way away from the lake. The entire run back to the training center June didn't really communicate with the team. She just wanted to make her way back and go to sleep. Once they arrived at the center than pulled the sled into the pool barn where the rest of them were stored. After Annalise unharness them she led them inside and put them in their team room which was basically a big wide open room with dog beds, blankets, toys, a place for their sled equipment and their food and water bowls that had their names engraved on them. Once Annalise unharnessed all of them and checked on Denalis paw, removing the thorn and wrapping it to reduce the swelling she prepared their dinner of raw strips of steak and kibble along with their separate supplements. But June wanted to do anything but eat so she went to lay on a soft bed in a far corner of the room. Edited at November 18, 2023 08:31 PM by River Riding Elites

Cypress ran back slowly, thinking about various things. When they got back to the training grounds he actually behaved for once, letting Annalise take of his harness and going into the kennel willingly. Cypress cast a glance at June as the female immediately went and laid down, ignoring the food. He was worried about her- but he was still an outcast. She may get angry with him if he just went up and asked what was wrong, or if she was okay, and it wasn't like she'd tell him anyway. Cypress sighed a little and ate his share of food, walking to the kennel door and sitting on his haunches. He stayed alert, staring out and wishing he was out there. How to open it... he stood and walked back and forth along the door, observing the latch and such. What would be the reprocussions for running off and coming back later? Would he get kicked off the team? He just wanted a nice sprint in. Cypress sat back down and continued staring at the door.

When June sped up, Bellamy easily kept an equal pace, but noticed some of the other dogs behind them were having trouble keeping up. He ignored it, only focusing on his stride and the terrain ahead. -- As they finished their run and Annalise unhooked all of the dogs for their downtime, Bellamy reached his paws forwards to stretch before trotting around in the room to cool his legs down. Noticing June in the corner, his ears pinned back slightly and he approached her with caution. "Hey July, you okay over here?" Bellamy joked, his tail wagging softly to try and cheer the female up. He knew that sometimes making a joke of her name bothered her, but this time maybe it would cheer her up. He outstretched his long legs, falling onto the ground to lay in front of her. "Whatever the matter is, you can tell me. I'm your right hand man, ya know? Bel and June, June and Bell, us against the world." he nudged her paw with his wet nose softly, laying his head down over his paws and looking up at her.

June usually didn’t confide in the rest of the team about her feelings or problems. She always thought she didn’t have to. She had to keep up her strong leader persona for the team to be able to perform without any doubt in their leader. So this incident really got June down. Laying her head next to Bellamy’s and rubbing her cheek against his for comfort she closed her eyes and let out a big stress relief sigh. She knew Bellamy was trying to comfort her with her joking but that’s not what she needed. She needed a friend to make her feel like everything was alright in silence. “I don’t want to talk about it.” She said bluntly to Raina and Bell, feeling really sleepy. “I’m just gonna…” she tried to say, but then she fell into oblivion in a deep sleep.

Bellamy held back further question, noticing that June didn't really care to be bothered, or at least speak about it. She seemed to be in her head, and it was rare that she was — as far as he noticed. Without a word leaving his mouth, he moved beside the wolf dog and laid down, leaning his head against hers and closing her eyes.

Cypress gazed longingly outside, wishing humans couldn't make his every decision. He didn't know if this team was realy what he wanted.. and now he felt more alone than ever. Cypress continued to sit there, hunching his shoulder just slightly as he ducked his head. Would he ever fit in.. anywhere? Would he ever find someone that actually cared about him as something more than a fast, strong tool?

Tiger ate his food then flopped down for a nap. "Finally nap time!" he sighed. He loooved his naps. If he wasn't running or starting fights he was napping or eating.

Once they got back Denali sat down and looked at her paw, it was swollen almost double the size, and when she turned her paw around she couldn't even see the thorn as it had dug into her paw all the way. She started licking it and biting it trying to get it out. Eventually she huffed having no success so she gave up.

Cypress finally gave up every thought of getting to run and settled down on his stomach in defeat, though still keeping his head up and ready. He wasn't going to fall asleep for a while, that was for sure.
