Thérèse / Livvie

Thérèse entered her dorm around eight in the evening, the cold weather painting her pale complexion a weathered red. She had heard mention of snowfall overnight and into the next morning, supposedly nothing significant. The blonde was from an area that didn't receive much snow ever, so she was eager to see anything even remotely resembling snow.

Virginia was colder than Thérèse expected, even though she'd done an unusually thorough amount of research--for her anyway, which was a fraction of 'thorough' for others--which meant that she was severely underpacked. She'd been out at the barn spending time with Jest in a cute pink sweater and jeans, and it was in the mid-twenties with a brisk wind. It wasn't unusual that by the time she had reached the dorms she was shivering, red, and downright cold.

Although cold, Thérèse was friendly as ever as she laid eyes on her roommate, a very pretty blonde with beautiful bright green eyes. She beamed a smile and it was almost like a mirror the way the girl beamed back. Thérèse knew from that moment on the two would be inseperable.

"Hiiii!!! My name is Thérèse! I am French so my English is no good, I am sorry! I want to learn so I can show--how do you say--my feelings to you! I think, I don't know. Maybe you can help me!"

Grinning through chattering teeth, Thérèse sat down on her bed across from Livvie's, watching the girl with a soft, content gaze that lacked intensity--it was just there. "Your eyes are very pretty," she complimented, feeling ever frustrated that she didn't speak fluent English and couldn't be her natural talkative self.

Laurence + Cal / Sam

Laurence sat by the entrance of the barn, growing more nervous by the second. He'd texted Sam well over ten times in the past eight hours and hadn't received a single reply. Part of him reasoned that she was Samantha Starr and would do exactly as she pleased, the remainder was living in a paralyzed fear that whatever or whoever had gotten her the first time had come back to take her away again. Neither solution satisfied him and while normally he would just angry-cry his way out of the negative feelings, he was growing irate to the point of mild confrontation which was extremely unlike him.

It was for a good reason, though. Laurence had been waiting for Sam since around 5pm--it was now nearing 11pm. He was freezing cold and didn't have a jacket, some kind of sickness--be it pnemonia or a common cold--was eminent based on the fact that he'd been shivering for literal hours. He just wanted to go home and had already broken down several times, but he felt responsible for her. In many ways, this was similar to when his cat ran away as a child. However, he hoped this would be a less traumatic ending. He didn't expect it to be, though. Something about being dealt the hand that Laurence had made it very easy to assume and embrace worst case scenarios.

[Laurence]: Come on, Sam. Pick up your phone, I'm starting to get very worried about you.

----

In the meantime, Calvin was walking Samantha out to his rental car--an ugly white four-door that looked far too domestic for his liking. He made comment to Sam several times that this was not representative of him, and that he drove motorcycles. She didn't actually seem to care, which was fine, she didn't have to.

Something about Sam was predictably unpredictable. He knew this type of woman well--they hated the softer, kinder women, so they tried to be fiercer than everyone in the picture, the man included. Sam had realized that fawning all over him would end badly, so she was trying to play 'harder to get.' This was almost worse, but he was too tired, to emotionally unaware to pay it any mind. He was quiet most of the way to the store, that of which ended up being in a very sketchy part of the town that was run down. When they got to the destination, it was shut down and had been for years. He put another location into his phone, which was somewhere on the other side of town, but closed at this late hour. He sighed and turned to her, stormy grey eyes pleading.

"I give up, where do you people shop around here?"

Audrey-Royal
Audreys trailer rolled into the parking lot of the barns. She took a deep breath before turing the truck off and hoping out. She looked around at the trees and barns where riders were getting horses put away. She grabbed the royal blue leadrope out of the trailer tackroom and unloaded Royal. She gave out a loud whinnie and waited for a call in return. Several faint calls echoed out of the barns. Audrey then walked towards the barns hoping someone could help her find where to put her horse.

Bronwyn Lochezski | 20 I think? | Open

"Mmhm, just arrived. Virginia is a maze, I swear!...kay, guess I should get situated. Oh? ...Chat later!" Bronwyn put down the phone with a small sigh, slipping it into her bag despondently. Her estimated arrival time had been around 4pm - but after a delayed flight, slow driver and various other travel hitches, she was almost glad she had arrived before ten. It was cutting it close, her phone reading 9:47pm in bold black letters.

The brunette began walking towards the lit-up building, her paces long and jagged. Her face was a ghostly white in the dark, only hinting at a shade of pink as she neared the dorms. It had been a long day - her dark brown hair, originally in a neat plait, had slipped out of its tie, now hanging loosely by her shoulders. Her white t-shirt has some phantom marks on it, while her jeans were the only clean thing about her.

Her backpack moved idly, a small white nose poking its way out of the half-open zip. It wriggled out its head to reveal a bandit faced dog, wriggling in an attempt to enjoy its newfound freedom. "Long day, baba?" Bronwyn reached over to pet the fox terrier, fondling his ears softly. "I'm tired too - just give me a moment to find out what we have to do."

...

After waiting in the building's entrance for a few minutes, she eventually managed to attract the attention of a passing student. "Excuse me, do you have any idea where the owner is?" Alex looked at her dully for a moment, before processing her words. "Um, she should be that way," he mumbled almost incoherently, pointing vaguely down a corridor. "Usually there at night." With that, the tall teen was off, stalking out of the building.

...

"Bronwyn...Lochezski? Please say I'm pronouncing it right, my linguistic skills are absolute trash." Kholo offered a small smile, before continuing down the list. "Just sleep in room G8 tonight, I'll assign you a permanent dorm tomorrow morning. I think that should be all? Oh, here's the key."

(ignore this little idiot trying to slip into her new OC <3)

Heather Proudstorm | 21 | Eventer | Espresso Silhouette "Mystery" and Titanium "Storm" | School Horse: N/A | Pet: Toby the German Shepherd | M: Blair, Open

-Heather just laid in bed, she couldn't really sleep since her mind was fully awake. She silently got out of bed, making sure to wake her roommate up before she got dressed into her riding clothes, taking her riding helmet off the dresser. Toby would be fast asleep in his dog bed, quietly sneaking out of the dorm as the brunette made her way down the hallway then slowly making her way down the steps since she was trying to be sneaky before leaving the house, heading straight over to the barn-

-Heather stepped inside the barn, walking down the isle until she reached both Mystery's and Storm's stalls. The young woman gently smiled at her mare since her recently gelded stud was resting peacefully in his box stall, the colorful mare let out a playful snort from her freckled nostrils which the brunette quietly hushed the mare- "Quiet Mystery, we'll be in big trouble if we both get caught sneaking out." -Heather softly said this while taking the mare out of her stall then starts leading her down towards the wash stalls to start getting the colorful mare tacked up-

-After a few minutes or maybe more, she lead the mare out as Mystery had just a black & dark red neck rope with a black bareback pad. Heather carefully looked around before gently grabbing some amount of the mare's silver colored mane into her hand before swinging herself up, using her upper body strength as an advantage to smoothly hoist herself. The young woman carefully looked around while making sure that she's correctly seated then the brunette rode the mare into a canter as the duo has sneaked off the facility's property to go on a very late night hack-

Samantha / M : Calvin,Laurence,Open.
.
They had spent the last hour or so driving around in pointless direction, thankfully the car was more comfortable than it looked otherwise Sam would have kicked off ages go.The seat was incredibly well fitted, slowly easing herself further and further into it as they went along until her body was totally relaxed. Her tired body was thankful for the rest, eyes slowly dozing away so much she couldn't help but jump just a little as he spoke.Sam had been oblivious to the fact they had even pulled over, and in seeing another closed store she offered a huff and glanced in his direction ,sitting up a little straighter and meeting his gaze with a bored expression,
"I dont know - Like you said I get Daddy's Servants to go for me."
She offered sarcastically before giving another sigh and running a finger over her forehead,
"Look,It's so late and I'm not really hungry anymore.."
The strawberry-blonde produced her phone from her pocket, wincing at the brightness and shielding away momentarily until her eyes adjusted. That was when she saw all the notifications,Missed calls. Her face fell slightly, finger scrolling down them and subconsciously bitting her lip.Sam could almost hear his voice in the texts, the tone he'd use.She hovered over the buttons but struggled to find a reply,So shut the phone case and placed it back into her lap, hand left resting on it thoughtfully.
*
Thankfully,Calvin had begun driving home not soon after, and the journey wasn't that far.Although,it seemed like an eternity to Sam as she sat fairly silent in the passenger seat, gaze on anything else but in the car.It was fairly obvious her mind was elsewhere, and any interest she had in the car's driver had now been relocated elsewhere. The car eased down the driveway,Sam turning to say something to Calvin, but her eyes drifted past to the barn some distance away. She knew within a moment it was Laurence,Huddled over in the doorway. It was nearly midnight- was he insane? She let out a shriek resembling 'Stop',Cursing at herself for Loosing composure before swallowing her pride and stepping out of the car,
"Err - Thanks.I guess."
She offered,Before setting off at a fast pace toward the barn. Her head was absolutely racing, mostly of a feeling unbeknown to her before now.Guilt.Just a little at first but it seemed to grow the closer she got.He looked frozen,on the edge of hyperthermia and totally done with the world. She bit her lip once more,Cheeks bright red and hands trembling with the effort of walking so far so quickly. Her expression was distraught, unable to even cross her arms defensively as she approached him. This was her fault,And the part that worried her most was how he was going to react.Laurence was one of the most gentle and genuine souls she knew,But there was a part of him that was unpredictable even to her.It made her incredibly intrigued and mistrusting all at once, and as shed learned so far it never turned out well for her.Never empowered like she usually experienced,Only left guilt and frustration - He did it to her like no one else,
"What are you doing?"
She offered in barely a whisper, just getting his attention as her eyes watched him cautiously, nervously like a misbehaving child would their parent.
.
(I presume Calvin will either follow and make Laurence part of the Em/Tim plot or just leave these two to go home?Up to you,I'm easy either way Lol)

Alexander Littlewood | 19 | Heather

Alex walked listlessly along one of the trails, his hood pulled low over his angular face. There was a strange glint in his eyes, the darkness only just catching it. Despite the icy chill, he was dressed in baggy grey sweatpants and a black hoodie, sagging against his skinny frame. But then, he had learnt it to notice the cold.

Walking was one of the few ways he stayed sane - he rarely managed to sleep more than six hours a night, thanks to his irregular sleep rhythms and insomnia. It helped fill the time until his body was able to fall asleep, or until a desired person had woken up. The hours still stretched far too long, but it was better than previous years, times, periods.

Alex froze as he heard hoofsteps, instinctively crouching down. "Damn it Alex." His voice was a hoarse whisper, loud enough to here but too broken to understand. A horse came cantering past, its hooves flying turf into his face. Glancing up, he made subtle eye contact with the rider - Heather, wasn't it? No, it definitely was. One symptom he had gladly skipped out on was memory loss, his almost dangerously good.

-The young woman hanged up onto both the neck rope & some of the mare's silver colored mane in her hands while the horse cantered down a trail, the brunette was very silent in her thoughts, as if she was trying to block everything around her but was shortly snapped right back into reality when Mystery got spooked by something that the mare has clearly heard before the woman did-

-The woman was very puzzled of what could have spooked the old mare but soon sees who it was when they have cantered pass, it was Alex but..what was he doing out here so late at night?. She silently slowed the mare down to a halt before turning the horse around to see if the man was okay, thinking that she probably scared him since the brunette noticed that he was crouching-

"Oh uh sorry, Alex. I should have probably watched where I was riding." -Heather shyly said but she spoke up a bit so she'll be easier to hear, gently petting Mystery's neck to calm the now spooky horse down, her phone would be in her front left pocket for just in case if either Sandra or their Mother wanted to call her to just check up on her to see how she's doing-

Audrey - Royal- Zeus
Audrey had met a stablehand who was finishing up some barn chores. He had shown her the way to her stall and her schooling horse. After settling Royal into her stall she let herself into Zeus's stall. She brushed the geldings muscly shoulder with her hand and pulled a sugar cube out of her pocket. The gelding munched contently on the cube before turning back to his hay.
Audrey had found her way to the dorms. Being so late in the night she decided not to look to meet her roommate. She wandered to a small room in one half of the room tugging a small suitcase behind her. She closed the door behind her and changed into a sweatshirt and sweats before climbing into the grey bed.

sorry for the delay <3))

Calvin + Laurence / Em, Sam, Tim

Calvin had noticed a very visible shift in the change in Sam's demeanor, and he gave a fleeting glance in her direction as they pulled onto the driveway towards the barn.

"You seem a little worse for the wear," he trailed off, once again not directly asking what was wrong with her but willing her to volunteer information. He wasn't much for feelings or conversation but it didn't matter much, everyone around him was happy to fill in the blanks.

As her eye caught a shadowy figure in the distance, one who seemed to be hunched over and shivering in the cold, Calvin became defensive. He was trained to be.

"Do you know him? He looks sketchy."

As she exited the car and ran off for him, it began to dawn on him. "Ah, I get it..." His voice wasn't one of hurt, but of a solemn understanding. It was easy now for him to realize that she had someone in her life, which for some reason disappointed him. He didn't want her for himself, but it did irritate him endlessly for some reason, he couldn't explain it.

Meanwhile, Laurence was shivering in the cold. His hands were starting to turn blue, and his face was red. He was starting to drift off to sleep, so he could only offer Sam a sullen upwards glance.

"You ready to go home," he murmured softly, passive aggressively adding, "or are you going to stay with him tonight..." He gestured at Calvin, who was standing near the top of the hill watching with that gray gaze of his. Laurence's teeth chattered as he shivered, only making the picture worse. He tried to get up but his legs were so cold they went numb, so he wobbled a few steps and fell, a string of swear words falling under his breath. He got up quickly, noticing a few flurries of snow falling on his palm. If he hadn't been so hurt he may have been in a good mood, but Laurence didn't even like snow. He didn't like most things when he was in this mood.
