Emily / Tim

Emily was apprehensive about stepping foot in the hospital where she had lost her legs only a few years prior, yet she was functioning far better than she had anticipated. Tim was in extremely good spirits that day, which helped tremendously. Laurence was not, however, and she empathized greatly.

"I missed you," she said gently as he had put her down. She was impressed with herself for the great balance she'd obtained on her prosthetics. Not too long ago she was stuck in bed, depressed by the fact that every move she tried to make landed her on the floor.

Once Laurence had left, Emily frowned, her natural empathy finally able to come through. She had been staying positive for his sake, but once he was gone, she was able to say what was on her mind. "He looks really bad, it's obvious how much he cares about Sam. Like, we all knew before, but he's broken now. Poor guy."

Her mood changed back to her chipper self once more, smiling at Tim. "And you? How are you holding up? I know we talked while I was gone but I still feel like it's been so long, I missed you. We should catch up later. I put Kierstan in charge of Camden for twenty four hours since I had no clue what I'd be coming back to, so I've got some time to myself for once."

[I'm sorry, motivation took a beautiful nosedive. Excuse the word mess >.<]

Blair O'Connor | 24 | Aidan, open

Blair stepped out of the small taxi, her face frozen in a plastic smile as she paid the driver. Cars freaked her out at best - and in a stressful scenario, a new environment and a huge mental dip, her heart was pounding much faster than what she would deem healthy. Breath. She bit her lip anxiously, only just stopping herself from drawing blood. No use putting so much effort into her clothes only to arrive looking like she'd just had a fight. She was dressed simply: a pair of black jeans to offset her pale blue hoodie, a tighter fit than most of its kind. The back was emblazoned with "Toronto Equestrian Team" and a dark logo, the only obvious horsey thing about her.

"Do you - have any idea where the owner - Ms Mzi - is?" Blair winced at the desperate tone in her voice, her body tightening as she waited for the answer. The tall young man that it was directed at didn't look too interested - unsurprisingly, since she had interrupted him without warning. Hell, she would probably have exploded by now, not sat silently albeit judgementally listening to a random person speak. "Kholo Mzi."

-Heather would be staring one picture in particular that was saved on her phone, the one where she was standing in the winner's circle with the gentle giant, holding a trophy in one hand while holding the reins in another as Prince looked so overally proud and happy with a hint of softness in his dark brown eyes. The red brunette took her gaze off her phone when she looked up, spotting Tim and Emily walking over, well..Tim practicality dragging Emily along, she gave them a kind but shy smile at the duo while setting her phone down on her lap, having it faced down to hide the picture-

-She would be listening to Tim's words to acknowledge the information- "So, Sam is doing ok then?" -Heather finally spoke to ask the curious question, Toby would remain under her chair dispite how big he is for a German Shepherd as the tip of his tail could be seen-

Darius Lovelle | 21 | Reiner/Barrel Racer | "Althea" | Nessa and Callum

For some odd reason, although he was only now meeting these two, Darius felt a little bit more at ease (he was still anxious about making a fool out of himself). Both Callum and Nessa were easy to talk to, and judging from their personalities he was currently witnessing, he may have just made his first two friends in a long time. That's kinda sad to think about, the young man sheepishly thought to himself as he unconsciously rubbed at the nape of his neck. "Best part? Uh...probably the horses. I'm not a big people person, so the horses are the ones I interact with the most. The scenery is a plus as well."

Darius absentmindedly stroked Althea's cheek and snickered when she lipped at his ear. "People just like to gossip. They just said there were three really attractive siblings frome Ireland coming to stay here at White Oaks."

His hazel eyes swiveled to study Nessa's features as he heard her begin to speak and he listened carefully, though his attention was slightly distracted. He blinked out of his slight trance, coughing lightly into his fist to clear his throat, the flush in his tan cheeks darkening. "Ah, professionals. Might wanna be careful 'round here. Some of the other riders are "know-it-alls" and like to think they know everything. Trust me, I'm sure you know more than they do." He shook his head with a sigh in reference to these riders and slipped one of his hands into his jeans pocket. It was one of the reasons why he didn't have many friends here. That and he'd prefer to have the company of Althea and the other horses. Sometimes, horses were more friendly than the riders at White Oaks.

"My dad actually retired from the military three years ago," Darius hummed in response to Nessa's direct question and returned her charming smile, "so he decided to move back to Virginia. There's been some talk about possibly moving to California but eh, we'll see. I think he just wants me to finish school before he makes that decision." When he realized he'd babbled on, Darius sheepishly averted his gaze once more. It wasn't like him to talk so much; it took him by surprise. "So what do you mainly compete in?"

Aiden Drewen | 20 | Show Jumper | Old Like Vinyl ( Loui ) | M: Blair

Aiden looked up from his hands, taking in the sight of the female in front of him. " Uh.." He stumbled over words in his head, wondering how he should word them. The woman already seemed stressed enough, and his almost bubbly personality wouldn't be a good call right now. He cleared his throat before looking up at her face, her beautiful brown eyes giving him the confidence to speak fully.

" In fact, I do. You're in luck." Aiden smiled softly. " I believe she's in the main office, talking with the array of others that have started here just now. Just be careful, there's this over bubbly woman going around, and she'll give you a headache from just looking at her." Aiden chuckled. " The office is over there." He added, pointing at the large building to his right. " Have a good night ma'am."

Aiden gave her one last smile before hopping off the tray and making his way into the cab of the Ute.

Tyler / Aiden, Blair, Liv

Tyler grinned--he couldn't help it being next to Olivia, who was sunshine incarnate. He listened to her speak, adding a reply every once in a while but mainly falling into a soft, passive stance, just happy to digest all of the ramblings of his favorite person.

"How long have you been here? Have you unpacked yet?"

At another point in the conversation, he mentioned, "once we find Kholo and get our stuff organized, we should go meet our school horses. We should ask if we can hack them by ourselves, I haven't ridden in almost six days, I really want to."

As they were striding along, nowhere and everywhere in particular, Tyler's ear had once again fallen captive to Olivia's chipper ramblings, so he naturally also caught wind of a second conversation. The last part he had heard was 'Kholo Mzi' and 'the office is over there.'

He slipped his arm out of hers, grabbing her hand loosely and pulling her towards the pair gently, just grabbing her attention. He smiled in a friendly, amiable way at the pair, who seemed awkward around each other. He was sold on the fact that they were probably strangers, if not very new acquaintances.

"I don't mean to intrude, but we're headed to the main office too, if you want to tag along I know Livvie here would be thrilled to make more friends. I'm Tyler, and you are?"
