Kholo Mzi | 33 | D/NH + Owner | Open [Kholo Mzi] Just a reminder everyone, dressage lesson at 3pm in the indoor arena. It's pretty wet outside, make sure to stay safe while riding on the trails! A reply pinged back almost immediately. [Cheikhou] Sounds fun! Me and Pedro will definitely see you guys there. [T'sani Mzi] Reminds me, still haven't had a racer meet-up. 5pm work for everyone? [Alexander Littlewood] Cool, will be there. --------- The horses snorted as Kholo walked past, sticking out their noses in the hopes of attention. The woman laughed softly at the piebald pony. "Got nothing for ya, Mozart. Try someone else." The gelding ignored her remark; he began nudging the door with his right leg. She eyed him suspiciously. "Don't tell me Diablo's been teaching you tricks," she remarked, one eyebrow raised. "I'd never deal with you on the loose!" After exchanging words with the head stable hand, she left to tend to King. The stallion was still being put back to work after a ripped tendon, and needed to be exercised lightly every day. He didn't particularly enjoy the slow walk, but it had to be done...to be honest, neither did she. Clipping the lead rope to her haughty stud, Kholo led him around for half an hour, making sure to keep at a walk. Edited at July 11, 2020 09:52 AM by Tanglewood

Heather Proudstorm | 20 | Eventing | Espresso Silhouette "Mystery" and Titanium "Storm" | School Horse: WO Descendants of Khan "Khan" | M: Cameron, Open -Heather looked at Cameron to meet his gaze, there would be tears in her eyes a bit. She just had noticed him while her face felt a bit wet from how many tears must have ran down her face while Storm very briefly pinned his ears at the young man as his blue eyes were watching him very cautiously- "I just want my horse back even though it's not realistically possible." -Heather finally started to spill to Cameron while her graze looked back at the old picture of her & Prince competing in the Land Rover Olympics, as much as she wanted to try to move on but she couldn't as the young woman felt like she was stuck in one place that she can't move from. Feeling like a part of her has left with her noble steed- -Her green eyes remained staring blankly at the picture on her phone screen, she deeply missed the gelding so much that it was quite hard for her to recover from the lost but she seemed pretty aware of the silver stud's behavior he was displaying very clearly towards the young man- (Sorry for the length of the writing, kinda in pain while family is over)

Jay Hernandez | 21 | Forgot his discipline x_x | Kat, Dash Jay scooped the manure grudgingly, his face set in a permanent frown. Just his luck that Kholo had caught him loitering in the barn and handed him a shovel pointedly. Weren't there stable hands for this?...admittedly, he was a working student, but that made no difference. Right? Finally filling the wheelbarrow, the young man wheeled it to the heap - or as the grooms laughingly called it 'the poop deck'. Apparently it was to do with a sailing reference or something. Suddenly seeing an all-too familiar figure, Jay darted into the tackroom without checking if it was empty. First mistake. He ran straight into a tall, braided women with fire in her eyes. "Watch where you're going, dummkopf," Kat snarled, brushing aside the young man a little too harshly. "There's no fire - though I'm tempted to turn to arson." "Jeez, touchy." Jay shoved off her biting remarks, simply trying to find a way to appear occupied. He surely wouldn't notice him then. Grabbing a nearby halter, he dangled it in front of Kat's dark eyes. "Nylon or leather?" he asked, very aware of the idiocy of the question. Hearing the silence in the barn, Jay changed his tactics. "Uh, never mind. Nice meeting you, great day!" With that, he returned to his mucking duties, leaving Kat confused, fuming and highly suspicious. "Dummkopf," she muttered again, reaching for Ash's bridle. Cheikhou Aidara | 22 | Liberty | Open Chei guided Pedro with her legs, the dappled draft listening lovingly. The saddle, though not tacked, was balanced precariously between her thighs as she rode bareback to the dressage arena. The lesson wasn't for a good two hours, which left plenty of time for them to work on their next routine. Kholo had mentioned a show coming up, though the slim woman hadn't shared any more than that. Nothing wrong with being prepared, hey? After resting the dressage saddle on the raked sand, Cheikhou vaulted lightly onto Pedro with a small spring. The pair proceeded to trot smoothly, Chei sitting firmly on his broad back. "Time for something a bit more interesting, eh?" The young woman crouched on the grey's rump, before very tentatively standing up and stretching her arms to either side. A large smile spread across her face. They had done it! She always loved the thrill of vaulting, but this was something special. At one with the horse, yet all alone - this was how equestrianship was meant to be. "Whoa, bub. 'Nough for now, 'kay?" After training for about half an hour, Chei slid off - half graceful andd half dying swan - onto the ground below, quickly loosening the wide surcingle. She laughed as Pedro trned to face her, resting his head on her shoulder. "Sure, love you too. But no slobber." Edited at July 27, 2020 01:04 PM by Tanglewood

Julian | Open "Another meeting at three? Yeah, I'll be there." With a tired sigh, a look of resentment crossed the woman's face. Of course, nobody loved her work more than Julian. Nobody. But, she was getting extremely tired. She'd come to this farm hoping for a rejuvenating change of scenery and a change in perspective along with it. Yet, she had been on a horse maybe twice in the seven months she'd been here. She wanted to be less of a workaholic, but didn't know how to be anything but what she was. Sometimes she envied her brother's carelessness, when she wasn't despising it. Taking a casual stroll down to where the main pond sat, clear and reflective of the blue summer sky, Julian sat down on a bench aside from the dock and watched the clouds float over the clear water.

Heather Proudstorm | 21 | Eventer | Espresso Silhouette "Mystery" and Titanium "Storm" | School Horse: Open | M: Open (Just doing a time skip for myself so don't pay any mind to me :3) -It's been a year since she got her mare Mystery into the Olympic level of their training as they were more than ready to take on the Olympics but she knew better not to keep it a secret from everyone like she did last time when Prince use to be alive. Heather would be inside the barn, brushing the mare down while Storm was out in pasture...The young woman was still missing her gelding even though she was trying her best to move on but deep down, it still hurts to do so little by little. She snapped out of her thoughts when she felt Mystery's freckled nose gently nuzzle the side of her face along with a soft nicker- -Heather gently smiled at Mystery as she got done brushing her, she placed the brush down in the mare's grooming kit before standing next to Mystery's shoulder to gently pet the colorful mare's neck before gently holding the sweet mare's head, giving the mare a gentle kiss on the nose which Mystery very much appreciate the affection that her owner was giving to both her and the stud then goes back to the mare's side once again as she already started cleaning the mare's hoof when she picked up a hoof pick from the grooming kit. Toby, her dog, has already gotten a lot bigger since he's been growing but he would now be a adult male German Shepherd as the large dog would be laying next to the wash stall that his owner is in- Edited at August 25, 2020 02:59 PM by Aspen Fire ES

Alexander Littlewood / 18 / R / Julian, open 'Whoa devil.' Alex leaned back into the saddle as he pulled up the black Standardbred cross, both of their faces illuminated with adrenaline. As he didn't have his own horse - and had no plans for one - Alex rode Luci out on the track most days, alternating only with trail rides and the occasional schooling session. They were both in good form, though the gelding seemed to enjoy dramatising his so-called fatigue. Alex had been content, even verging on calm, lately. He knew that another spike in either direction would come - it always did, sooner or later - but for now, he would enjoy it. He would sit back and let someone else dither over their problems for once, without being forced to hide it or fix it or save it. Or so he told himself. Lucifer shied at something randomly, his arched head high and haughty. "Shusha boy, just a human. You know, those things that walk on two legs and have an absurd attraction to everything?" Realizing he had spoken loud enough to be heard, Alex raised his voice even more. "You alright?" So much for leaving everything alone? Cocking his head, he turned towards Julian. "'Cause like, as far as I know, cloud watching isn't a sport." Edited at August 30, 2020 02:02 AM by Tanglewood
