Online trainers/armchair trainers bug me so much, especially when they do harmful things with their big followings

As someone who doesn't get to be around horses much I always look for some context in the comments for horsey people to explain a video that was put in a bad light. I also get to learn more about things that way aswell.

I've seen that and don't agree with it at all. Hate the bloody internet trainers. Wasn't there one going about a couple months ago talking about her 36 Olympic horses ro something like that?

It also doesn't help that, with the small snippets where a horse could've bucked or reared due to an unknown reason or god forbid a teenage is riding a pony that any equestrian familiar with size and weight for a horse would recognize, some "online trainer" somewhere feels the need to bash the rider because the horse is" in pain" or "is green and needs more handling before being ridden under saddle." It sickens me going through comments on videos. Especially when non-equestrians pop in...

Ari exactly, same goes with dog breeders too most ethical people breed to maintain good form and health but all you hear about is puppy mills and puts breeders as a whole in a bad light to a lot of people.

Even well respected and seasoned horsemen once in a while should go back to the basics and establish more bonding and humble themselves. Everyone can do with a bit of humbling once in a while. We often lose sight of the small things as humans

I agree Quality, and oftentimes because of phone cameras etc people film the bad apples and try to paint everyone in the same light when in reality it's a few shitty trainers in a big field of really good horse people
QualitySH

I feel like there is nothing wrong with the horse industry as a whole. Some bad apples ruin the reputation but is often a very small percentage of the horse loving community.

With that all said, there's no use trying to sway someone's opinion, especially without proven research and valid examples. The rules of horse racing are updated when problems arise and they are strictly enforced.

I think there are many people in the horse world who've lost touch with the animals and human bonds.....a lot of people need to go back to the basics

Well I can assure you that I have not witnessed the kinds of things you are talking about amongst my competitors and peers, so I'm glad that the things you've seen and talked about are not universal and mostly localised problems

West glanced at Blade again, then voiced his thoughts quietly. "Well Qibli and Wyn have already met, and they even told each other their names... which is definetely a giant leap for Qibli... so I don't think they'll need too much more prompting." He said truthfully

"I'm Tornado. My owner is the new girl, Jade." Tornado said to the other two stallions. "Blade and Wild West. Those are interesting names. Your riders, do they like this school? Jade is extremely shy so I'm wondering if she will make any new friends."
--
Jade heard the riiinngg- ing of her alarm. A new day at her new school. But she knew nobody. Yawning, she had a quick shower and put on her new uniform. She checked the clock. Jade had half an hour until classes started. Enough time to ride Tornado. When she reached the stables, she found the bay in his stall. He whinnied to the other horses. She turned around. It was Wild West, the grey horse.

West nodded. "You're corrct, so we should do that. Maybe tomorrow." He answered, looking a little tired. West glanced over at the first stallion as he spoke, nodding. "Nice to meet you, Tornado. Qibli seems to do fine in this school, but he is also shy... I guess a lot of these riders have that in common." West murmured, but he was all but asleep at this point.

Qibli read for a couple more moments before setting the book down and turning out the light, falling asleep. He awoke to bright light streaming in his window, making him blink. Qibli staggered out of bed and ran a hand through his light blonde hair, yawning. His handsome features were slightly ragged as he thought about the new day, but they cheered up when he knew he was going to ride Wild West. Qibli slipped on some faded blue jeans and a dark blue button up short sleeve shirt. He left a couple buttons unbuttoned, knowing it would be quite hot today. Qibli exited the room and went down to West's stall, seeing another girl there and giving her a glance but not looking too concerned. He went into his horse's stall and started grooming him, chuckling slightly when Qibli realized West had made friends with all the horses already.

Niko rolled over and slapped his phone, the loud alarm instantly awakening him. The opening in the blinds let light in and Niko was squinting to find his phone on the floor. It was still summer so he put on a loose grey tank top, tan breeches, and his black tall boots. He quietly left the room seeing that his roommate was still sleeping. Niko had grabbed his airpods and put on some quiet country music, knowing he needed something to stay awake. He went straight to Q's stall, giving him a kiss on the nose and grabbing his tack.

After Qibli was done grooming he placed the saddle on and slipped the bridle over West's head. He then grabbed a helmet and led the horse out, his tall figure going through the barns. Qibli led West to the warm up arena to get him used to it, wanting to familiarizie the stallion with everything before actually having classes. Qibli walked West around before easing himself into the saddle, warming his horse up slowly

Oliver woke up slightly as the sun started to peer in from her dorm window. She open her eyes before rolling onto her side to get away from the sun with a small groan. After a moment of laying there and blinking herself awake, she finally crawled out of bed and walked over to her suitcase. She threw the suitcase on her bed, opened it, then started grabbing clothes -I really need to unpack this tonight...- Oliver thought to herself before changing into a pair of black riding pants and a blue tank top. She quickly brushed her hair leaving it down to flow lightly around her face. After that she slipped on her crocs, she then headed out and down to the barn where she walked passed many other students who were already up and grooming their horses. Once Oliver reached Aces stall the mare greeted her with a loud whinnie "It's too early for you to be shouting all ready, girl..." Oliver mumbled before walking in her mares stall and leaning up against her in a half hug, still just trying to wake up as she wasn't a morning person.

Wyn woke up and dashed out of his dorm, he had slept in his clothes, so he could get up and going the minute he woke, Wyn ran into the barn, his chest heaving with the effort, Wyn had never been good at sports, well, every sport but horse riding, also another reason his parents got him Blade, helping him become fit.
Wyn jogged over to Blades stall, "come on boy, let's get riding" he said, smiling at the thought, leading the silver stallion from his stall, Wyn hitched him to a post and began to tack him up.
Wyn finished with a bit of hassle and jumped up into the saddle, sitting comfortably on his only friends back, Wyn pressed his heels into Blades flesh, urging him forward, he entered the arena and saw a few horses around, Wyn sucked in a breath and urged Blade forward into a canter.
-
Blade looked over at West, "hi west!" He nickered to the other stallion,

Qibli collected West's head and asked him to trot. The big stallion usually looked giant, terrifying, and more muscle than brains... but he was very fluid in his motions. He snapped his legs up nicely and his thick, arched neck really did show a nice picture. Qibli had the stallion canter, working on bend and suppleness.
-
West bowed to Qibli's command and cantered around, though his ears perked when he saw Blade. "Hey Blade." He answered evenly, not missing a beat
