Cameron Fairfield | 19 | SJ | Bonfire people

Cam ambled into the area comfortably, his back slumped artfully. He was dressed casually for the evening: his favourite pale blue t-shirt, baggy jeans, and a small medallion-like necklac around his neck. His wildly blonde hair was let loose, falling around his neck and otherwise. Had there been any single girls here, they would have swooned for sure. In his case, though, every female person was single unless otherwise stated, and he was definitely going to practise his natural charm on at least three women tonight.

Cam's ears practically pricked when he heard a familiar accent, although the voice was strange. Australian? Here? In Virginia? Standing up, he walked boldly to the owner of the accent, his face quizzical.

"You wouldn' be from Australia, hey?" The 'l' was completely missing from the word, his accent even more accentuated in the presence of another possible Aussie. "I'm Cam, nice to meet ya." He slapped the man's back softly, always ready to meet new people.

Emily | Tim

Emily gave a bright, gleaming smile at his appreciation of her work. She nodded and gestured towards the house. "Come on in, I'm pretty sure they finished the flooring and the walls this week. All that's left is to get all the furniture arranged before Tuesday."

As she swung open the light grey door, a very Emily-style was revealed to their eyes. Light, appeasing tones, grays and blues, whites and beiges. The flooring was all high-end, those same attractive neutral tones. It almost seemed beachy, and was quite bare without the decor, but offered an opportunity for the layout to be all-the-more revealed. Every inch of the place was immaculately designed, and obviously designed with a purpose. The blonde woman began gushing about some of those purposes as she walked Tim around.

"See, I made it so that I could grow into it. For now, my bedroom is down here, since stairs aren't really my friend yet, but eventually upstairs will be my space, and downstairs will be guest rooms and people space. Or, maybe upstairs will be Camden's space, I don't know."

With a bright smile, she looked out the window in a fleeting glance, saying, "I've decided it's unwise to control the future, and just stay in the present, ya know? Yesterday I was ungrateful for ankles, and now I don't have any. If I'm ungrateful for my life now, maybe I won't be living it tomorrow."

Her gaze became slightly hazy, the slighest smile hitting her face to try and convince him she was okay. "Apparently this property goes pretty far--I've heard there's a lake somewhere. Maybe one day we'll have to explore that, when I can actually walk or ride. Apparently the back of this property also backs up to the farm, there may be trails that combine them. I guess this all used to be one huge plantation way back when..."

Aodhan | Cam, Marley

Aodhan heard a familiar accent from behind him as a super friendly guy sauntered over, and his face literally brightened ten times what it already was as he heard the man talk. "Oh my gods," his words were strung out, infatuated almost. "Cam, you are my very favorite person here. We're officially best mates."

Aodhan literally didn't even hesitate, wrapping the blond in a huge, teddy-bear hug like only he could, but as he did, he also heard the voice of another Aussie, his face lighting up even more. He caught Marley's eye as she seemed to be looking for someone else, falling out of the embrace with Cam gracefully and diverting both of their attentions over to her.

"You're an Aussie too, eh? 'ow many more are there?" His words were completely thick with their native tongue, almost to the point of humor. Chandler, standing next to him before he'd gone on his tangent, smiled from afar, still bright from the fact that he was here now, for good. Her day had really turned around, and it only got better watching Aodhan's strong sense of Austrialian nationalism come out. He seemed to hate most Americans. Not her, but most of them. Everywhere that wasn't Australia, he would only embrace those of his culture, or annoy everyone with excessive slang until they too started talking like him.

Now alone, Chandler shivered a little, nearing the fire more. She watched the distance, hoping a couple more people would come soon, so she could get to know some faces she'd not yet met.

Laurence | Open

Laurence laid on his bed, staring at the ceiling thoughtfully for well over an hour. He couldn't tell if he really felt sick, or if it was just his anxiety and the slightest case of hypochondriasis getting the better of him. Or, maybe, just his hangover finally catching up with him. Since the bus trip, whatever it was had seemed to worsen, and to his knowledge, there was nothing else occurring that night, so he'd kind of just settled in for the night rather early. This wasn't abnormal for someone completely responsible, who often went to bed well around 7 or 8pm, but what was was the silence. It was a dull, deafening silence, where he would normally have music, television, fan, air conditioner, some kind of white noise to drown out the thoughts after being social all day, after being in 'authority mode' all day. But tonight, he just sat on his bed in complete and utter silence, lost in his thoughts, completely unaware of the social function happening just beyond his door.

Dajana | Kierstan, Sam, Tristan

Dajana was in the barn, just finishing up with either riding or chores for her horse and several others. She was walking with Kierstan casually, the pair giggling about one thing or another, seeming to just casually make conversation as they walked out of the barn, still in riding clothes.

Tristan appeared out of his office for a moment, first staring intensely at Sam as if realizing that he should know her by now, but didn't, before laying his eyes on Dajana and Kierstan.

"Did you find him?"

Kierstan shook his head. "Laurence? No. Haven't seen him since this afternoon. I found Dajana, though."

She gave a small smile, partially terrified of Tristan, and partially not able to comprehend the fast english that was being spoken. After a moment it clicked, though, and she said, "you are looking for Laurence too? Me too. I ride his horses when he needs, I have not gotten texts today. His horses are still in. They need ridden, yes?"

Tristan shrugged. "No clue, I texted him earlier to find out about turnout, no luck. Three strikes, then it sounds like a personal problem to me. We're at five."

Kierstan gave an amused look before saying, "Tristan, are you going to the campfire? Is Jules already there?"

"God, I would rather die. But, unfortunately, yes, it seems mandatory since I skipped out of last night's events for paperwork. I'll meet you up there. No clue where Jules is, she lives her own life."

"Super helpful, thanks bro," Kierstan said with a teasing demeanor. The pair walked up to the fire, still in their riding clothes, making smalltalk off to one side as Tristan stayed behind, casually debating whether to leave the comfort of his office or find a fantastic excuse to remain in his safe space, ignoring Sam's presence all the while.

Floyd | Asher, Bekkah, Dajana, Floyd, Julian

Floyd and a few of his friends, who had seemed to create their own clique in the past twenty-four hours, stood near the front of the fire, all conversing lightly about hometowns, horses, disciplines, riding experiences, and so on.

"Yeah, me and Bekkah came from Oakley a few days ago, we have some kind of arrangement with you guys where we work the barn in exchange for training. We're getting ready to be moved off of breaking yearlings and onto actual competition riders. I couldn't be more excited, I've been bucked off so many times in the last few weeks."

"At least you get to ride them," Bekkah muttered sourly, crossing her arms. "Janice only lets me work on ground-tying and haltering and grooming, all the boring stuff."

Asher gave a charismatic smile, contributing, "we should seriously take a group trip up to my family's farm sometime. Right now we have an influx of sales horses, so I'm actually supposed to go up there in a few days and decide which ones would sell faster down here. I'm supposed to take five or more. Sounds like a hassle, but, it's kind of my job, and the whole reason I get to live here and hang out with you guys. So, if anyone is looking for a new horse, I'm your guy," he chuckled, glancing around with a soft smile.

"We're both hella broke," Floyd shot back with a hint of amusement in his voice, "but if you want company, I'd love to just come for the trip."

"Trip?" Chandler asked, butting into the conversation. It was very friendly, and of course, about half of the group was attracted to her or dying to make friends. "Where are we going? I freaking love trips."

"Vermont," Asher replied with a chuckle. "But only if you're trying to buy a horse."

All the more enthusiastic, Chandler said, "actually, what a coincidence, I actually have been looking for a green project for like, ever," she replied. "When?"

"Can you swing next Wednesday?"

"Yeah, as long as we get up and back in like, forty-eight hours. We're targeting the opening of the church to be Sunday, which means band meeting and soundcheck Friday night. If you can get me back by then, I'm totally game."

Looking around, she said, "who else is coming?"

( I wrote a response, then timed out and returned to yours Lol.So gimmie a Sweet Sec to Edit it around xD )

Simon + Sam (Bc Im lazy and can't be bothered with separate posts.. ) / M :Campfire Lot,Laurence,Open.

"Oh C'mon. You know that Walking backward thing is a myth."

"Nuh-Uh!Scientifically proven - Burns more calories.Do i seriously have to get my Dad's science team to break it down for you?"

"It's not the only thing being broken when you're walking around blindly Im sure."

The pair came trundeling around the path a few moments after the trio from the barn, alight with gentle banter and debate over multitudes of workout routines.Sam,staying true to form, had been incredibly stubborn over the matter - insisting on her foolproof routines as he offered tips from his own.

"Hey - You dont get calves like these without a few tumbles.I can see why you're Lacking."

Her voice returned with a pointed eyeroll, glancing up the pathway ahead toward the sound of chatter and trying her best to avoid thinking about the scene just ahead of them. She plastered a incredulous smile over her lips, trying her best to look at ease despite the tension in her shoulders.

Simon had offered a simple eyebrow raise as greeting to the group,His eyes flitting around for a second before suddenly feeling incredibly torn. The two women he wanted to speak to were seemingly stratigically placed on opposite sides of the fire, obviously hesitating for a few moments before giving a mental sigh and heading over to a familiar face.He figured Marley would become available at some point to speak to - As to whether he'd manage to grab a minute with her was highly debatable by all the eager conversation she was getting.

"Who's Organising a Trip?"

Simon offered in a lightly amused manner,Looking to Chandler then the rest of the little group as he settled casually beside her.

Sam had done nearly the same thing, crossing her arms defensively and standing for a few moments in a slightly judgemental manner. No one seemed to be paying alot of attention, either enravelled in conversation or lost in thought. It was a curse and a blessing all at once she descided, desciding to drink from the latter cup and perching herself isolated on the futhest log from the fire - watching the irridecent Flames lick at the logs as she drifted futher and futher into thought.

After a few moments,She couldnt help but bite her lip in a little worry and produce her phone absentmindedly, staring at it uncertainly.Sam didnt want to care as to what her Instructor was up to - but hearing the others speaking in a concerned manner in the barn only heightened her own interior worrying.Of course she hadnt expressed that feeling to them - Brushing it off at the arrival of Simon.Within a few moments, she decided to heck with it,typing a fair few messages before finally shutting tightly her eyes and pressing send.

-Top Eventer Not Feeling the Common people Vibe?-

Instant regret was the only thing she felt in clicking that button, looking for a few moments for an 'unsend' button, knowing full well they never had and never would exist for her personal use.

(Does that work?I feel like it's a bit all over the place x3)

Timothy Blue / CEI / M: Emily

He had followed her around rather quietly, unsure if it was the striking designs or just listening to her speak with so much pride that was making him speechless.Tim maintained this as her words became more emotional, more personal to how she felt. The blonde couldnt help but try and read between the lines unsuccessfully as she began to change the subject - totally lost on what to do.He felt as though saying nothing would eat away at him for being insensitive, but bringing it up would most undoubtedly lead to another conflict.

He opened his mouth to comment, his phone giving that irritable ping they only seemed to at times he wanted to speak.Perhaps for the best this time.

"They always do this outta the Blue."

Tim muttered a touch irritably,Looking to Emily with a testy frown,

"Apparently there is a bonfire going on at home - At the Centre I mean."

His gaze was expectant, clearly letting her make the descision on how she wanted to handle it.

(Lacking a little inspiration,Sorry Hun! >.< )

Chandler | y'all know

Chandler had caught sight of a few people walking up the hill, one of which looked like Simon in the dark. After a few minutes she physically forced her attention back to Aodhan and his newfound acquaintances, one of which she recognized as Marley. She felt fairly indifferent about it, although there was still just the slightest resentment. She mentally chided herself, reminding herself that she didn't know the situation, and generally should just befriend them both or keep herself out of it. Chandler hated drama more than anything, but somehow had to wonder if not having any was worth the cost of her own mental health, and keeping her emotions locked up all the time. As she continued to converse lightly with this crew, she felt a figure brush up beside her.

Glancing up as he spoke, she gave a really wide grin. Something about him looked really familiar, but in her head she could only joke about him being the exact replica of her type, and that she probably remembered him because they all looked like him. Brushing a strand of loosely curled hair back, she replied quite casually, "Vermont, ya wanna come?"

She gave him another bright smile, habitually sticking her hands in the pockets of her revealing pantsuit for comfort. For as much self-confidence as she had, the little things, such as the brush of their two bodies against each other, would remain in her mind on a constant loop for quite a while. It didn't matter how intentional or subtle it was, it just would.

Laurence | Sam, Open

Laurence had been staring at the ceiling for so long that when it turned dark, he'd hardly noticed. Or, maybe he'd been sleeping. He legitimately didn't know, at some point his entire mind had turned off and he had no recollection of how long he'd been there or what state he was in. That was how he knew he was legitimately sick, and not just imagining things.

What he soon realized was what had woken him from his trance was the text tone on his phone, which had for some reason been on, and had for some reason audibly rung. He always kept his phone on silent because it just made more sense to, being around sensitive, young horses all day.

Somehow he'd woken up to 42 new messages, which was hardly surprising, since the amount of riders he had was astounding, and they all seemed to need him constantly. What was more, giving Tristan his number was the biggest mistake of his life--the dude was high anxiety, seeming to mother his horses more than he did. Every blessed hour of the day he had a question, a concern, a comment, a fear. It drove him crazy.

As he scrolled through, he saw four messages from Dajana, most of them either extremely enthusiastic or apologetic, just asking about his horses and whether they needed to be ridden. Fourteen of them were from Tristan, literally just being moronic and anxious about things that weren't even issues. The remainder were from different kids around the barn, some thank you's from the town trip that day, and, surprisingly, one from Sam.

He opened this one quickly, fearful about what had happened if she was texting him. She seemed like the type to never text first, so it concerned him. But, her message seemed cryptic, confusing to someone who had no idea what time of day it was, let alone that there was a party going on. He wanted to ignore it, but confusion got the better of him.

Common people vibe? What are you talking about? Where are you? What time is it?

Feeling too absolutely mentally woozy to either re-send the message or add some clarity to it, Laurence sent the text before deliriously falling back to sleep, or something...
