Lorenzo smiled gently, slowly easing his tensed muscles. "Good," he replied, much more emotion and feeling put into the monosyllabic word than most do. "These students here know nothing about endurance!" He groaned with a light-hearted edge. "Eventers are tiring, I tell you. All cross-country and speed and competition and dressage is pointless and-" He broke off with a joking shake of his head, his already high eyebrows rising even higher.

"Si, everyone has their own ideas. But eventers are another level!" He shook his head, his dark hair waving with the movement.

Cam responded with a dramatic twirl, shaking his head around to the movement. He dragged her to the middle of the dance floor, his hair slowly slipping out of its once-neat tie. "Is that even a question?" he commented, raising his eyebrows.

"Actually, it's an Aussie thing. Means pretty woman." He winked at her flirtingly, a teasing grin on his face.

Astrid would shake her head and chuckle gently. `` I see, pick a specific sport to do. But, what if you feel like meddling in all of them? I mean obviously I wouldn't know what that feels like considering I've always been a cross country kinda gal.`` She would tell him. Realising she was talking too much she placed her head as best as she could on his shoulder and let out a content sigh.

Dash|SJ/NH|26|M: Athens

Dash laughed at Athens' comment. "Im sure you're not a fossil. We can dance a little later if you like. Just... follow me." Leading the two toward a more secluded part of the building, Dash sat on a bench and gestured for Athens to do the same.

Looking at the blonde thoughtfully Dash spoke. "I know we dont know too much about each other, but, ah, I'd really like to learn more about you. That is, if you're willing to share."

The blonde Texan had decided to take one last look around White Oaks before he left for the gala. He wasnt looking forward to the fancy setting, but he was prepared all the same. The price of being a business man's son. Shaking his head as he walked down the barn, it was dark, all except for one stall. Picking up the pace he knew that it was Mystery's stall, and as he rounded onto it his smile faded.

Heather had clearly been crying, and Jackson decided to try and help her. Sliding down to sit next to her he put a gentle arm around her shoulder. "Hey. Its gonna be ok. Tell me what happened."

Timothy Blue + Samantha / EI / M: Emily,Whoever is hovering about.

His stride had faltered slightly as she spat her hard words at him,his face largely expressionless for the majority of it.Tim couldn't help but wince though as she really said what they had both been thinking - it stung to hear it out loud.And from her lips too.
For the next half an hour or so he loitered at the drinks table,giving half-handed greetings and small talk to anyone who wanted him for it.He had consumed quite a few glasses by this point,trying to take it easy but the smell was all too tempting.So as he took another with a sigh,he decided to shift away from the table - casting an eye over the party mass to see if there was anyone he recognised distinctly.Someone he was comfortable with.
What came next was a shock.
The pair chatted lightly for a while,seemingly settled in each other's company,looking like a mismatch if nothing else.Neither were exactly fully committed to the conversation,But being as both were alone and needing to socialise the pairing just seemed to work.
"We look like a pair of bluebells."
Tim chuckles gently,Sam glancing down at her dress before back at him with a faint smirk as she crossed her arms playfully after tucking a wayward strand of hair behind her ear,
"I know I certainly look the better flower."
Her light voice returned.Sam seemed to have a light and airy aura in this moment - perhaps it was the sips of champagne getting to her head.Or maybe she was genuinely enjoying the interaction.She wasn't sure, She was sure however that Tim wasn't his avid self despite how talkative he was.Perhaps that was what gave him away.He seemed on edge,unsettled.From afar she guessed he looked normal - like he was having a good time.But from having him train her for so long she had a little inkling in his general habits.
Sam,now relaxed in to the conversation seemed much less uptight with the alcohol easing her up slightly.Her expression was light,less judgemental and generally vulgar.She was enjoying herself and it seemed to make her emit an amazing energy,making her more eye catching than usual.

Heather Proudstorm | 20 | Eventing | Espresso Silhouette "Mystery" | School Horse: WO Descendants Of Khan "Khan" | M: Jackson

-The young woman felt an arm gently arm around her shoulder that came with a familiar voice, she turned her head to see that it was Jackson. He looked rather fancy but she wasn't surprised that he found her in the mare's stall since that what she'll do most of the time, hiding in one of the horses's stalls- "My um...my older horse Prince, he collapsed in the pasture and he just...he just died right in my arms as if he wanted to say his goodbye before he just...ya know." -tears started to roll down her soft, fair tanned skin on her face, it was obvious that Prince meant a lot to her as Mystery meant a lot to her too. The brunette wiped the tears from her face again as her voice was quite shakey while her hurt a bit from all the crying that she has done- "Sandra called our Mom to tell her the sad news and she sent some workers from the ranch to come get him then left an hour ago so he can be buryed under the old blossom tree that he always liked to hang out under...me and him went through hell and back when I first got him, he was a 8 years old Hanoverian gelding and I was 16 years old at the time but he was such a wild spirit to work with but I loved him and everything went smooth sailing after that.." -Heather shyly turned her head to look down at her own lap-

-Mystery gave a gentle snort as the colorful mare gave a gentle nuzzle in a motherly way towards her rider then she gently nuzzled Jackson a bit to see if he had any treats while curiously sniffing the suit that the young man was wearing-

Sandra Proudstorm | 18 | Show Jumping | Moonstone River "Silver" | School Horse: WO Legends Rise "Legend" | M: Open

-Sandra would be sitting by herself, gently playing with her half empty but half full cup. The ebony haired woman couldn't help but worry about her older sibling, how the death of her faithful gelding affected the brunette since both of her horses meant so much to her than life it's self. She knew how hard it was when their father passed away a long time ago from a fatal riding accident, clearly remembering how Heather was shutting everything or everyone out, like she was shutting the whole world out. The young woman softly sighed before taking another sip of her drink while her worried blue eyes were very much focused on the barn-

Jackson|XC|18|M: Heather

"I know that pain. One of my favorite mares, Emblem, got colic a few months ago and there was nothing we could do. It broke my heart." Sighing, Jackson stood and brushed his hair back. Tickling Mystery's muzzle, he smiled before turning back to Heather. Holding a hand out to her, he helped her get up. "C'mon. This gala thing is mandatory. Plus I think Prince would want you to have some fun."

Walking the woman back to the girl's dorms, Jacks sat outside and waited. The air wasn't too cold, and ashe looked out over the White Oaks property there was something refreshing about the lush Virgnian countryside compared to his home.

Dajana | SJCT | Cam

Dajana thought for a moment about what he was saying to her, since she was still having trouble analyzing true conversational english. No textbook had prepared her for an Australian man who frequented slang rather than true english. Yet, this intrigued her. He intrigued her.

Giggling with the realization of what he was saying, her pale complexion got slightly pink. "Thank you," she said confidently, still giggling. "You look handsome."
