It's always sad when you let them go into their new homes, but when the new owners send you photos and tell you how well they bond with their new family member it's so rewarding. We now have a WhatsApp group where we can all stay in touch and share pictures

I've heard Bengals described as "border collies on crack" when it comes to cat breeds haha. They're a lot of work and have more energy/need for enrichment than many people can keep up with.

Ragdolls however... J'adore ♡

Glacier, most of my cats are ooint as well. Another breed I might add are Ragdolls. I used to have one who lived with me over 15 years and she was the gentlest soul one could imagine. Bengals are pretty but too high strung for me. They are like the Border Collie of the cat world.

I think what is funny is that dog people seem to have superiority complex whereas cat people are wills say, I just prefer cats and are so aloof about it.

Breeding cats is cool, if I ever get into that, I would have to decide between bengal cats or color point Siamese cats

My cat is much more cuddly than my dog. Sure he runs away when a stranger comes into the house, but once he gets used to you he is more than happy to come out.

Revel - I do have 3 dogs as well. 2 of them are sighthounds which are said to be more like cats in temperament. So I guess I like the contrast of having aloof dog breeds and affectionate cats 😉

That's really weird, Piper, I have not seen that either. I thought even embryo foals are treated as straws in that they do not mess with the counter for tge 20 LCs

(Who cut the onions, tears are making it hard to see ;-; )

Prince | Registered Name: Nightmare | 22 | Gelding | Hanoverian | Retired Eventer | Owner: Heather Proudstorm | M: Mystery, Open

-The large black gelding poked his head out as he let out a kind of a short snort, he felt...tired? exhausted?... whatever it was he felt, Prince oddly didn't feel like himself but he kinda knew that his time was almost up as he did feel weak but he hid it very well by acting like everything was fine. His dreamy dark brown eyes watched the barn enterance, waiting patiently for his caring rider to come back from taking care of the other horse. He got a bit spooked when he felt something touch his neck which made him look over to see Mystery, the mare that Heather bought that stayed in the stall next to him then he gently nuzzled the young mare to hopefully reassure her that everything was gonna be fine but deep down, he could tell that the young colorful mare knew of what's to come-

Samantha Starr / Eventing / Mickey / M : Laurence.

She pauses in her stubborn brushing,if you could actually call it that, to turn toward the doorway.Although her face was it's usual hardness, framed by a tightly pulled back ponytail there was a sense of intrigue to her nonchalant expression.Sam couldnt even fathom the ability to scowl - Which was an achievement from the stranger if anything.

She remained silent, simply looking this new intruder over before giving a movement that could only be described as a shrug.Sam then turns away once again, now beginning to struggle with a whole new task - Tacking up.

***

In a record breaking 12 minutes,a mismatched Mickey emerged from the barns almost looking decently kitted out - Bar the fact his ear net was backwards. And to be fair to Sam,Although it was nearly blattently obvious the pieces were not a set,her little fashion intuition had come out nicely - the Chestnut did look the part. His hindquarters were impressively toned and glimmering in the light, similar to the stallion's in a way - Neck chunky and muscular, due to being gelded late, flexing lightly against the bit.

And in the midday light, the rider settled on his back also looked like a 'top eventer'.Her equipment, figure and composure were that of an extensive and expensive availabilty - Top brands pulled all over her body. But as the pair got closer,it was obvious her style was not reflected in her riding.Sam sat in the saddle stiff - Arms locked to her side in a way that almost resembled fear.Mickey on the otherhand was enthusiastically striding toward them, trying his best to obey the hard contact on his mouth and the pressure at his sides. It was clear from the way his ears flicked back and forth the gelding was immensely confused by her clashing cues.

"I suppose i Can spare an adoring fan 10 minutes out of my schedule - But I'll warn you now : I dont give signatures on a weekday."

Was that - A joking tinge to her sour Tone?

Timothy Blue / EI / DewDay / M: Noah,Tristan,Emily,Open.

The blonde had woken from his daydreaming with a start as Noah knocked his shoulder, saying something that didnt really register in his mind for a few moments. And in this time,by the time he was ready to speak, Noah was being near on swept off in every direction.Tim simply offered Noah a sympathetic shrug and slight smile,Before returning to leaning over his door and gaze at his mount.

Dew was still dancing around, buzzing with energy as he waltzed over to the doors a few times, hardly pausing for a fuss from Tim before beginning his laps again.

(I feel so damn Heartbroken, I cant even imagine Noah and Emily's converation >,< )

(does this fulfill your wish, fleursie? xux it's mostly j-a interaction but hey, still squished dashy in there)

Athens | M: Judea, Dash

Athens sat on the grassy lawn peacefully, all attention on the surrounding world lost and ignored. His thoughtful focus was isolated on a stretch of white clouds off in the distance. The fluffy masses rolled on smoothly and peacefully, and he could almost feel the freeing breeze that pushed them along oh so high upward. The silence of his gazing was plenty relaxing to him, and moments like these were surely some of his favorites--despite how simple they were. Even a couple small birds were drawn in by the young man's calmness, and they hopped about in his general area without a worry.

Not too far off, Judea scattered around toying with random things he scavenged off the property. Old rusty horseshoes on the lawn, strange branches from the woods, random tools from the buildings, and plenty other things he shouldn't have had his hands on, coming from God knows where. It was all just to cure a quaking boredom, a scattered attention span. Due time, even his "adventuring" failed to drain enough energy, and he clumsily shuffled his way over to Athens, startling the birds and causing them to take flight. The blonde flinched ever so slightly, then turned to face the younger boy calmly.

"You're being boring, dad." Judea groaned, his shoulders slumped as if staying still was tedious. Athens suppressed a chuckle, offering a small smile instead, then shifted to stand up. "Ya know, if you keep calling me dad around here, people are going to think we're actually related." He remarked in a lower tone. The brunette crossed his arms sassily with a smirk, then drew out, "Fine, Ellens."

Hiding his amusement, Athens returned a fake glare and replied, "Oh shut it, Waters."

They exchanged words for a bit, Judea constantly bringing up how they just needed to do something, anything at all. "We're at a pony place! We should go be with ponies!" He declared loudly, very nearly jumping his glasses off his head with his dramatic movements. "Alright, alright.." Athens accepted in a soft, quieting voice. "We should probably be checking on Ricki anyway... Let's go do that."

To his slight surprise, he and Judea had been asked to take care of Edhas' horse, Ricki, while the man was hospitalized. He wasn't entirely sure what had happened, but knew that the task needed to be picked up regardless, and so they had gone about on their duties without question. If anything good was to be pulled from the situation, Athens could say he was glad to have an extra distraction for Judea's hyperactivity. Being with an extra horse per day was good for him.

Glad to have won on the matter, Judea perked up and shot off in the direction of the barn, leaving Athens to look after him with a monotonous sigh. "How many times have I told you not to run at the horses..?" He muttered just loud enough for the boy to hear. All he got in response was a quick tongue stick-out before Judea continued to run off, excitement returned. Athens shook his head a bit, then followed at a comfortable walk.

When the blonde stepped inside the barn, he almost felt forced to pause and glance around--which he did, analyzing the cozy area swiftly. He caught sight of Judea just a few stalls down, already distracted by other horses which he continued to spook by mistake. Each time, the boy let out a quiet, "Oops, sorry," then managed to coax the stalled equine over for pets. But Athens' attention did not stay there long. Rather, as he went on walking down the aisle, his green-brown gaze was captured by a familiar face at Ricki's stall. Watching Edhas' movements thoughtfully, Athens approached.

Although it wasn't in his forethoughts, he noticed a sense of uneasiness in the man's blushed face. Relating to this, the blonde subconsciously made himself breath more steadily and appear softer, more relaxed, as an attempt at being a calming agent. Naturally, his gaze pleaded to search for any brokenness that it could find, for something he could fix, but he made himself look at Edhas' eyes instead, so as to treat him normally.

"Oh. Good to see you're well and back." Athens said lightly, offering a faint, kind smile. He didn't know the man well in any sense, but seeing that he was okay was still quite relieving.

Laurence | DCT | Samantha

"Ah, how kind of you," the instructor said with heightened amusement. She was exactly the kind of rider he thought he'd be training when he agreed to this--a dressage diva with little natural ability. He could tell that either she was slightly younger than him, or she was just incredibly immature, but definitely assumed the former off the bat.

"--I don't give mine out at all." He deadpanned and executed the comeback perfectly, not giving so much as a dimpled half-smile as he delivered it. As she came closer, he held his arms limply like she did, mimicking her movements. "What's this?" He asked, the teasing, dimpled grin now forming. "I've never met a top eventer who warmed up like it was their first day on a horse before."

Emily | Eventing | Noah, Tim, whoever else is there

It wasn't ten minutes later that Noah came running back into the barn, his eyes streaked with tears. He was quickly identified as one of those people whose faces got bright red when they cried, and looked a thousand times more in pain than they were. He ran into the stall and threw himself down, crying silently except for the occasional choked sob.

Emily came in next, her eyes now re-streaked with tears, her face still a direct contrast to his--completely pale, stark white. Colorless and lifeless. Her lip quivered as she followed him in, wrapping her arms around him in a motherly way, stroking his hair as he cried, and occasionally whispering, "it's gonna be okay, she wouldn't want us to be sad." Yet, deep down in her heart, she knew it wasn't okay now, nor would it ever be.

Cameron Fairfield | 19 | Dajana

Cam leaned against the crisp arena fence, watching the girl out of the corner of his iridescent blue eyes. Her enjoyment was clear, by the way she giggled as her mare bucked. Not all riders would be so comfortable on a green jumper.

He looked away from her riding as she spoke, instead concentrating on her appearance. Her dark ebony hair was held back by a neat plait, her eyes sparkling with a secret that none other knew. The secret to true enjoyment of life. Well, that was what it seemed like, at least.

"G'day." He made as if to tip an imaginary hat, playing on his obvious nationality. "I'm Cameron Fairfield, but y'can call me Cam."

Samantha Starr / E / Mickey / M: Laurence

The strawberry-blonde seemed a little amuzed as she approached, standing her gelding almost head on to the pair infront of her.She was once again oblivious - not even thinking about how the stallion could react to her mount's positioning.Sam lacked basic Equine common sense.

She even had to stiffle a chuckle as this stranger retorted to her remark, reaching her hand up to make it seem like she had something in her throat.

"Yes - To keep the horse on it's toes of course."

She simply replies, brushing off his mimicing with a disapproving eyebrow raise as continuing to glance him over slightly. His accent was smooth, intriguing - And his looks were half-decent at least.Sam's eyes couldnt help but smile just a touch at his grin,a sign she approved speaking to him as she turned Mickey sharply and jabbed his sides sharply. The chestnut just obeys, ears flicking contently - he was used to these types of riders anyhow..

"Are you coming or do you just plan on lazing around?"

She calls cooly over her shoulder, siting very upright in her seat and looking a little more natural at least as she relaxed a little into the swaying movement.

(Dearest Mishy... that was more than enough <3)

Dash|SJ+NH|Ricki|M: Jay, Kholo, Athens, Judea

Looking up at Kholo he gave a weak smile. "I-" Starting to speak, he was interrupted by Athens. Dash truly smiled then. There was something about this man that made him feel ok. That made him feel safe. Turning his attention back to Ricki, he shifted his weight off of his brother. Breathing out shakily, he explained what had happened. "I was hit by a car."

He could hear the audible gasp from both Kholo and Athens and winced. "It was my fault. I wasn't looking where I was going. Most of the damage was internal. Even so, I'm not going to be able to be very... active in my teaching. I think the most they said I could do was sit or stand. And almost no riding. Staying at a walk. A jumper's nightmare." Chuckling at his own joke, he groaned slightly as the laugh shook his bruised ribs a little too hard. Ricki snorted and nuzzled him, but lost interest once she saw Judea.

Dash watched her ears prick up as the teen walked down the center of the barn, and he could feel that she'd found a new person to "fix", so to speak. Whinnying lightly to the approaching boy, she snorted as he approached too quickly, the teen slowing in response. Scratching the back of his neck by his tattoo, he looked back at Kholo.

"I apologize in advance. There really isn't much I can do riding-wise. The most I can do is a slow trail ride. But if you'll still have me, I can teach."

Ahh Tangle they're really cute. Also I love your writing style!! :) Lol my Dajana posts are gonna have to be a lot of descriptors for now since her english sucks.))

Dajana | SJCT | Cam

Dajana giggled, half-consciously also taking in his appearance. His hair was wild--nothing like she had ever seen in either European country, but it was like the color of sunshine, his eyes the color of the sky. She wondered where he was from, it obviously wasn't here. He had a funny accent. She also wondered if everyone looked like him where he was from.

"Cam," she repeated, that bright energy still surrounding her. It was quite obvious that that was just her. She just radiated happiness. "I am Dajana. From Montenegro." Her words were choppy, but still full of effort. Eventually she'd catch on to true english, just after becoming more immersed. She gestured to him, then herself. "You. Me. Friends? Please?"
