Cypress looked rather injured for the first time. He opened his mouth to say something before shaking his head slightly, limping away from the fight. "Dammit, now my shoulder hurts." He snarled to himself, falling into- not a bad mood, but a more sad mood. In a way. He stalked quite a ways away to a patch of sunlight before laying down with a huff. "I didn't want a fight, it wasn't my idea, but here I am getting yelled at. They can hate me all they want but they will still be my teammates in the harness and they'd better not carry such a silly thing onto the trail." He growled to himself, sobering up for a bit and actually acting his age. Cypress flattened his ears a little and tried to bend around to lick the bloody spot on his upper shoulder/withers, failing miserably. After he decided that was not possible without breaking his neck, he set his head down with a groan and closed his eyes.

After seeing to it that Tiger wouldn't cause more damage between the team, Bellamy trotted back to Cypress, his tail hanging in a relaxed manner and his ears perked up with confidence. "Are you okay, Cypress?" Bell circled the dog worriedly, pinning his ears back slightly with concern before laying down beside him. "That new dog is going to be trouble," he grumbled quietly, resting his head softly on his paws as he looked at Cypress. "Too many dogs here causing drama, I would suggest you stay clear of them. I try to pull my weight and then keep my distance during my free time." he sighed, looking over to where all the other dogs were gathered.

Cypress opened his eyes and lifted his head, still looking slightly annoyed with a deep sadness and pain showing in his eyes that had been revealed a little during the past event. That had brought up memories he didn't want brought up. "I'm fine, thanks for asking." Cypress answered, having the intense urge to lick his wound but knowing he couldn't reach it. In any case, he turned his head and gave his flank a few swift licks with a sigh. "I can tell." Cypress remarked with a snort, his multi-colored gaze swinging to where the group of dogs stood gathered. "I can't steer clear of all of them- like it or not they are my team, and since I'm new I need to establish relationships and get to know them. Even if they don't like me that much." Cypress snorted a little, huffing a small breath of air.

Eying Cypress's wounds, Bellamy gave out a soft whimper. He was irritated that the team felt so low in morale and not functioning as they should be with so many new dogs, but he also knew that this was the reality of the sled dog industry. "Well if all else goes to shit, just know that I like you – and honestly, that's all the praise you need." Bell joked, his tail wagging slightly in hopes that his light hearted demeanour would cheer Cypress up. Edited at November 15, 2023 12:59 AM by Cherry Point Farms

Raina sighed walking up to Bel and Cypress "Sorry... I didn't mean to.." She limped her shoulder swelling a bit.

Cypress licked his chops and gave a slow sigh. There was nothing he could do about it, so he wasn't going to waste time moping. Sitting here and hiding though- that was a good plan. "Ha- well thanks Bellamy. That's very kind of you." Cypress answered wryly, a small smile curling onto his face. His gaze flickered back to a dog that started walking over- Raina. He pushed himself to his feet, ignoring the slight throbbing of pain in his shoulder. If a shattered leg idn't slow jim down, a small bite wound and aggrivated scar tissue wouldn't either. Cypress tilted his head with his ears slightly fallen back, glancing at the ground. +This is your teammate, don't anger her. This is your teammate, be kind+ He thought repeatedly. "No- I'm sorry. I shuldn't have prompted Tiger." He answered gruffly, which also wasn't like him.

Denali watched the whole fight not wanting to get involved ever since the trauma that happened when she was younger. She got close to tearing up the new dog, Tiger, several times but she restrained herself and instead though over and over ~It's fine Denali, the boys will sort themselves out~ She walked up to Raina and asked, "Hey are you ok? I got so close to turning that new dog into meat for the team to feast on haha."

Cypress glanced at the female that walked up- Denali, he guessed, since the other one was Sky- and averted his gaze to look at the other dogs again. Tiger, for instance. +Stuck up prideful dog. He shouldn't let his fears make others hurt+ Cypress thought with a small snort, standing and walking a little ways away before sitting down again.

Denali looked at the new dog up close and hoped he wouldn't be as bitchy as the other one. She looked back at Raina and said, "Well, I'm bored, take care of that wound." She walked towards the gate and rested, gently laying her head on her paws, but her ears were alert after all that had happened during the day.

Cypress flicked his ears mildly and looked around, still wishing he could reach the wound on his back to lick it. "Stupid not flexible at all neck. I wish I didn't have bonesthere" He mumbled with a grin, shaking his pelt thoroughly before laying down with a heavy sigh.
