Farleap was a bit surprised by what Cyrus had to say about how dumb these rules were, she was practically speechless by this. She snapped foward at his next words "You are NOT power hungry! If so then you would've killed me, Twilin, and all the other lionesses who WERE cubs when you first took over.. But you didn't! Instead you let all us cubs live! We wouldn't be the elite huntress's we are today if it weren't for YOUR KIND eyes! We wouldn't even be here. I had this strange feeling when i first laid eyes on Ares, almost like he was dangerous... Yet he didn't attack me when i tried to chase him out... So he isn't? Wait ok maybe he's only really ever a danger when he's extremely angry? I don't really know. But yet despite the fact you clawed his face and he STILL didn't do anything too bad.. Maybe you aren't as bad as you think you are, at first he had high hopes that you weren't conceited... Uuuntil he met me of course..." She said shaking her head. She listened on to what Cyrus said he might try with Ares "Oh yes that's a great idea! I think he was originally wanting to talk to you but assumed you were the same as every other lion... So maybe approaching him with a less hostile way may make him... Better? Or lighten up a bit" She said nodding to her own words "If you want, i can go look for him and try to see if he'd be willing to talk? With Twilin obviously" Farleaps suggested

Cyrus shut his mouth as Farleap burst out in a speech. "Power hungry doesn't mean terrifyingly horrible in every way shape and form. No one in their right mind would kill cubs, yes I am insulting every male lion that ever killed cubs because that is HORRIBLE." He huffed back, shaking his head slightly as she continued. As she reminded him he did try to claw Ares's face off he winced. He couldn't plead not guilty in any way on that one. "Of course he just wanted to talk. He just seems better and better and I seem worse and worse." Cyrus wanted to flop down on the ground and stare at the grass. Even beetles had better morale statuses than him. "Yeah he probably would be more willing to think about talking to me if I didn't barge in on his cave again." He sighed heavily. "If he's still alive. I'm sure he is." Cyrus mumbled under his breath, his ears laying back. "You and Twilin can go talk to him. If he agrees to talk to me, tell him I'll meet him later today at the big Rock." He stated. He had purposefully picked a spot off the pride land and away from Ares' cave, so neither of them could get worried about their territories.

Farleap shuddered at the thought, cubs were so cute! Annoying at times but cute! How could anyone hurt a cub let alone kill one!? Cyrus was right there as he was with a few other things, she didn't know how to defend him in the next speech. she shivered at the thought of Ares being left alone to die from his injuries, which reminded her of that Boar she hunted and left at his cave. She wondered if he had eaten it, or even made it back to his cave. She didn't stay trapped in her mind for long, she nodded her head slowly "Yeah, perhaps that would make things easier" She said not knowing whether to laugh or not. Her gaze grew stronger when Cyrus said she could go try and talk to Ares with Twilin "Yes, if he's even willing to talk to me and Twilin, than i'll tell him where you wanted to meet up" Farleap nodded in respect, standing up and walking away, she first quickly ate then went to Twilin "Hey, Twilin? Cyrus has sent us on a mission, we're going to try and find Ares, and once we do, granted he's still alive somewhere, we're going to try to talk to him, and set up the civil meeting arrangement at The Big Rock later today! I explained to Cyrus EVERYTHING Ares had told me, now i think he understands! And we might get one step closer to giving that Ares a better life" Farleap explained getting up and waiting for her, then leaving to find Ares, going to his cave to see if his boar was still there, there were some scraps left over, you could see where the scavengers have eaten and where a huge male lion has eaten, she let out a non-threatening roar to let Ares know she was here, with Twilin

Cyrus nodded. "Thank you." He responded, going to rest over by the sun warmed rock- he wasn't hungry at all after that talk. More sick to his stomach than anything. - Ares opened his eyes, his head spinning. He was groggy and he knew he'd have to rest for quite a while before he could hunt without being dizzy. He stood slowly, walking around his cave before sitting down again. Everything HURT, but his face hurt most of all. Considering he was half blind, it was hard to see how bad the damage was, but it felt like it would leave an ugly scar. He sighed heavily and was about to lay back down when he heard a loud Roar. Female, and not threatening, so at least it wasn't Cyrus back for another round. Ares slowly stood and stalked out of his cave, a bit wary. In this condition he couldn't fight, nor defend himself. He noticed it was Farleap and Twilin- so he wasn't exactly worried about getting hurt. Twilin had made it clear she didn't want to hurt him. He slowly walked out and sat down a ways away. "To what do I owe this pleasure." He said rather drily.

Farleap looked around staying still, she glanced at Twilin then at the cave entrance, she didn't understand why but it was almost painful to see his wounds, she cleared her throat but remained standing "Ares, i hope apart from this attitude you have, that YOU are doing alri-.." She stopped, realizing those clearly weren't the best words to use "I hope you are healing at as quick a rate as Cyrus is. But that isn't why me and Twilin here, I tried to get him to calm down during the fight as you know. But that wasn't enough to stop him from trying to kill you! So this morning i explained some stuff that i thought might ease up his view over you.. And, it has, Ares, Cyrus wants to talk to you, like ACTUALLY WANTS to! I said when we spoke for the first time that if he knew you weren't here for the land and pride that he might go easy on you.. But you insisted on keeping it a secret. Well now he knows, he knows you were in the pride before he was! And he told us to tell you that IF you're interested, to meet him by The Big Rock later when the sun is just past halfway. It's outside the territory and away from the cave so no boundaries will be crossed! He doubts you'd even show up, that's why i offered to come try and talk to you since you and i hit it off SOOO great last time, Ey?" She snorted, finally finishing and waiting

If Ares was a human he'd have raised eyebrows and a very unbelieving expression. He pretty much stared at her blankly through her entire slightly insulting speech, wondering when she'd learn to speak normally, holding back sarcastic comments, and trying not to just laugh at her and go back to sleep. After she was done he waited a couple seconds before replying slowly. "You do realize you have way more of an attitude than me." He pointed out first. "I'm quite certain no one really cares if I'm actually going to be okay." He added afterward. "Sooo what I'm hearing is you told him everything I told you out of idiotic irritation because of your rudeness, stuff I would've never said if I had been using my brain?" Ares blew out a long, slow, heavy breath. "Right. Go easy on me. Wasn't he already doing that?" He snorted before shaking his head. "So it's my fault the fight happened. He didn't stop to think, but I kept something that was mine to tell or not tell a secret. You're bad at this asking for *just a talk* thing." He grimaced a little. "Yeah. We hit it off great. Or, rather, you hit off me." He rolled his eyes. "Have you ever heard of this thing called respect? You have given me absolutely none, and I know you and Cyrus think I'm somehow less important than you, it's not true. I am a lion that goes off of one phrase I hold rather tight to. Treat others the way you want to be treated. You treat me with disrespect, and I reply sarcastically. Treat me with rudeness, and I reply in kind." Ares stood. "I'm not sure I can agree to this, but tell Cyrus to be there and I'll think about it." He said quietly before disappearing back in the cave. He didn't want to deal with that right now.
