Tristan | HJI | Heather
Sliding into the barn with Tabatha by his side, still disturbingly unshaken, Tristan stopped just outside of Boomer's stall, his gray eyes filled with concern for the student. As he glanced over, he noticed that Emily's mare was gone too, but she wasn't on the truck. Mumbling something under his breath, he directed his attention back to Heather in a still-intense tone, although any normal person could perceive that it was at the situation, not at whomever he was speaking to. "Heather, can you please meet me in my office in five minutes?"

-Heather looked over at Tristan, standing next to Boomer as she was leading him inside the barn to place him back in his stall- "U-Um sure" -she stumbled over her words, thinking that she's has gotten herself into a lot of trouble or something then she walks again as she gently encourages the gelding to follow her. Once she step inside the barn with the horse, hoping that everyone else was ok while taking notice that Emily's horse is gone also then she places Boomer back in his stall, taking his halter off as she steps out of the stall, shutting and locking the stall door in the process before she walked out of the barn to go meet Tristan in his office-

Tristan efficiently untacked and brushed down the mare, throwing one of many blankets on her. He retreated back to his office, not seeming any calmer, but perhaps less reactive than in moments prior. Taking a deep breath, he allowed himself to calm down before speaking.
"Have you ever had an injury like this before?" His tone was only slightly accusatory, his voice dripping with annoyance. He glanced out the window to monitor Boomer every so often, his mind still wandering.

"Well um not really" -Heather hesitantly said before she continued, taking a seat to get herself comfortable while taking pressure off her leg- "Look I know I should rest but both Prince and Mystery need me so I can't just leave them untaken cared of, they're my horses, MY responsibility and sure my leg is fractured but I'm not gonna put them in someone else's care....I-I've lost Prince once but damn it I'm not losing him again..it's all my stupid fault that he's in bad shape, and it's all my damn fault that Mystery sprained her ankle because of my actions.." -tears started to run down her face as she hangs her head, hiding her face with her hands as she started to shake, her anxiety slowly starting to kick in-

After calling the vet to check that Mira was fine, Kholo made her way to the barn. Her lesson utterly forgotten, she saw Tristan and Heather having what seemed to be quite an emotional talk, at least by what she could judge from Heather's stricken face. "Is everything alright?" she asked gently, placing her hand on her shoulder. Completely oblivious to the drama of Tim, she maintained her cool.

"Settle down, there, kid. I want to explain something to you. There's a bone that connects your leg together, right? That's something you flex when you ride. When it snaps, your leg isn't together anymore. That's bad. If you continue to stress it, that bone moves more and more. Essentially, we should have you taken to the hospital to get it put in a cast. It's physically nearly impossible for you to walk on it, let alone should you be. It's--"
Noticing Kholo walking in, Tristan gave her a small smile. "Hey, Kholo. No, not really. We just had Tim's, Noah's, and Savannah's horses come home on an animal control truck. Emily's mare is still gone. I was getting ready to call them and see if I can track 'em down, no need to worry yet, but I am a bit concerned."

Kholo's face darkened for a moment, before she managed a weak smile. "Can't really get a more hectic first week, can I? Horses 'dying', instructors dropping out, riders getting injured. Do you have any idea why the horses came?" She asked, trying to stay calm.

"No clue," he replied in a cool, even tone. "I have Tim and Emily's contact information, do you all know how to reach Noah or Savannah?" He glanced from Heather to Kholo, both women equally as emotionally charged for different reasons. He remained calm and thoughtless as he awaited a response.

-Heather moved her hands away from her face to look over at Kholo when she felt the woman's hand touch her shoulder while listening to Tristan before looking away as her green eyes focused on the floor board beneath them but she was still shaking a bit which was a clear sign that her anxiety was trying to kick in as she was fighting it down the best she could, she hoped that Tim and the gang who went to the hospital are alright-

Noticing the girl's shaking, Kholo immediately stepped closer. "Are you okay?" she asked kindly. Waiting for her answer, she watched Garfield, the barn cat, leap deftly from the loft. "Hey handsome," she murmured, scooping him up. He wriggled, but gave up.
