General Anubis AKA: Craptain Jack Spare-Ribs +++ Leo glanced at her with a smirk. "You agreed with me. Doesn't that mean you just agreed with an 'idiot'? Thought you were against that." He teased lightly, but it was all true. Again, he hated this place. He was itching to get out of it- there was no way he'd survive the night. He snorted quietly at her words. "I have bad luck, I told you that." He answered, then rolled his eyes, not being able to help the smile that played on his face. Someday, not jokingly, Glory would admit to him being rather cunning at times. Key words... at times. Even he knew he didn't really think a lot of the time. Her teases were warranted. "Worry all you want. Makes me feel better about myself." He grinned, glancing sideways as the deer appeared. He snorted quietly, readjusting his shirt and sticking his nose in the air. "No matter what you think, I love my outfit, thank you very much." He sniffed in a stuck up British accent, then chuckled lightly as the deer agreed. It wasn't like he was wearing anything crazy. More than normal, anyway.. most people still looked at him like he was crazy, though. He guessed it was the hair and the crazed expression. His golden eyes lit up slightly as she took action- he had kind of been hoping for her to get bored, as he didn't want to be blamed for deciding to leave. Then again, the nurses were used to it. "I'll accept that invitation with pleasure, if you'll give me a couple hours to stand." He winced as he pushed his legs over the side, then tried to put weight on them. The calf that had been stabbed screamed in pain, and Leo almost collapsed. His head was spinning and the world was starting to go black. He groped at the edge of the bed, just barely keeping himself on his feet. Gasping slightly as his chest squeezed and breath escaped his lungs, he froze, his head swimming as he stared at the ground, holding himself up by just his arms. "Ow.." He wheezed, closing his eyes for a couple moments. After the world stopped tumbling around, he slowly pushed himself fully upright, hissing with pain. This was a great idea. He sucked in a breath, still feeling like he couldn't breathe. His lungs felt restricted, and it was scaring him a little. He hated not being able to breathe. After he caught his breath back, he blinked a couple times, then took a couple staggering steps, limping heavily. "Okay, I'm... fine. Ready?"

Lieutenant Dwyer Glory frowned at him- he had a point, sort of. "I'm usually against it, but I'm not above it. I'll agree with whoever's right, not who's smart," She huffed, acting indignant. "Yes, I'm aware, thanks Captain Obvious," She retorted. She snorted at his next words, saying, "In that case, I'll just stop worrying, your ego doesn't need to get any bigger." She laughed at his accent and said, "I could care less what you wear, so long as I don't have to associate myself with you in public. I'll walk on the other side of the street and act like I don't know you if I have to." She pushed herself to her feet slowly, wincing as she pressed her left hand against the bed, her gaze fixed on the floor. Maybe if she didn't look up, she could escape the impending vertigo. That notion went out the window, however, as Leo gasped then wheezed, and Glory's head snapped up quick enough that whiplash crossed her mind before the vertigo set in, black creeping into the edges of her vision. She tightened her grip on the edge of the bed and decided that now that she wasn't looking at the floor, it was best not to look down again, lest the vertigo come back. "Fine's a bit of an overstatement, but yes, I'm ready," She said after a moment, regaining the ability to stand like a normal person. She started slowly out the doorway, into the school's hallways, heading outside. She wasn't too particular about taking the shortest route, just the one with the least stairs. She figured a walk around campus wouldn't be too physically taxing, and she didn't want to be outside any longer. Eventually, she led Leo to one of the meadows on the east side of the building, choosing this spot since the Corrupted camp was to the west, so there'd likely be fewer lurking in the woods here. Even still, she kept her distance from the treeline, as she was unarmed. She sat down somewhat slowly, all injuries having made themselves known by now and protesting angrily. She sighed softly, closing her eyes and enjoying being outside. No more of that dreadfully white room.

General Anubis AKA: Craptain Jack Spare-Ribs +++ Leo smirked lightly. "Okay then." He drawled, grinning at her indignant look. "My ego definitely needs to get bigger- it's tiny! Haven't you noticed?" He asked innocently, then chuckled, looking amused. "It's impossible to act like you don't know me. Even if that means just looking embarrassed when I bring all attention to you." He grinned evilly. The next few minutes were what he would call torture, as the lack of air, pain, and dizziness was starting to make him angry. Which just made everything worse. Thankfully, he recovered enough to stand, smiling faintly at her words. "Well, then, alive. At least we're both alive." Leo added, taking a couple more steps and gritting his teeth as each one sent agony shooting up his leg. He wasn't going to give in to this monstrosity- he was not weak. He couldn't be weak. He followed Glory out, into the hallways, using the wall as support every step of the way. He was almost walking slanted, as most of his weight was pushing into the wall to get it off his leg. As he walked longer, the soreness started to wear off the slightest bit, so he tried to limp like a normal person instead of dragging his leg like a zombie. He glanced warily at the treeline as they exited the building, not really wanting to be faced with a Corrupted attack at the moment. When Glory sat down, he paused a couple moments before collapsing. Really, it was his leg giving out, to which his knees followed, buckling underneath him, and he ended up landing on his back with a growl of pain. "I'm not ... getting back up again." He groaned, not even bothering to try and sit up. It felt like the impact had shook all the way through his body and hurt his stomach and chest wounds just as much as it would have if he landed on them. He closed his eyes, trying to block out the bright sunlight, feeling like he had been run over. "Do you feel like a semi truck ran you over too?" He asked in a musing tone, his eyes continuing to stay closed as he didn't stare up at the sky. Everything hurt.

The doctors inserted the needle into his vein. 'Are you ready?,' they asked. They didn't get a reply, flash just nodded. The blood felt like fire running through his veins, Flash heard the doctor counting down from five, it was the most pain he'd felt in his life. He felt his mind go foggy before he felt like himself again.

Lieutenant Dwyer Glory tried to suppress the sly smile creeping over her face but to no avail. "That's such a huge lie, it's almost as big as your ego. You're like a Russian nesting doll- full of yourself," She retorted. "On the contrary, I think it'd be pretty easy. Plus, I'm not capable of looking embarrassed, " She corrected with a grin. She nodded approvingly as he stood, saying, "Alive is much more accurate than fine." - Sitting in the grass, as Leo flopped down beside her, Glory couldn't help but grin as she said, "That's fine, I'm pretty sure I could drag you back." She absentmindedly plucked blades of grass and shredding them. She glanced at Leo as he spoke, then said, is a dead serious tone, "No, more like I got shot, oddly." She turned her gaze back to the sky, watching the clouds drift by. She continued her decemation of the local flora without thinking, the tips of her fingers stained green. After a moment she stopped, looked at her hands and wiped them on her pants. Her gaze flitted over the grass before landing on a slightly thicker blade. She plucked it, straightened it out, and carefully pressed it between the whole length of both thumbs before blowing into a small gap like a whistle. It didn't work, so she adjusted her grip slightly, blowing into it again, this time successful as it screeched loudly. Grinning proudly, she dropped the grass, having served its purpose. Grass-whistles weren't generally a useful skill, but it was mildly entertaining.

General Wallis Finally, Flash thought as he exited the infirmatory. Finally the doctors were done with the tests, needles and tubes and he was himself again, could get back to his life. 'Ozark!,' Flash yelled. 'I'm back! Can you tell your mother for me please?' As he walked away from the infirmatory Flash heard Glory and Leo outside on the grass. Walking towards them, a smile appeared on his face for what felt like forever. He took the last few steps. 'I'm back!,' Flash yelled, his voice triumphant. That, Flash knew, was what his friends expected him to do. What he was going to do now wasn't. Flash launched himself at his friends, giving Glory a bearhug, then Leo. 'I owe you two my soul and my life,' Flash told them. 'That's not something I say often. I save my own skin, always should, or so I believed. You two risked your lives. So, now, what are we going to do to celebrate? I was thinking something to do with fishsticks and bar fights was in order'. Edited at June 24, 2024 04:46 AM by Aussie Stables

General Anubis AKA: Craptain Jack Spare-Ribs +++ "I'd be offended with that Russian Nesting Doll one, but the truth of it is.. you've used it before. Been there, done that. Remember your insults." He grinned. - Leo slowly looked over at her. "Yeah, maybe in dragon form." He grumbled. "Plus it would hurt me to get viciously dragged along the ground. I'm 89 percent sure you'd true to hit every crevice and bump." He groaned lightly, his eyebrows lifting just slightly at her next words. Honestly, he could understand that- he just couldn't understand how it was possible for her to sound serious. It was a phenomenon of nature. "Lucky you." Leo snorted quietly, as he had gotten shot more than once... more than twice... more than thrice... point is, he'd been shot a lot, and it SUCKED. However, he'd also been hit by a small vehicle once. It broke his spine, 5 of his ribs, both arms, and a leg. The pain was much more excruciating. Multiple that to the size of a semi, and he'd say getting runover would hurt more than getting shot. He stared at the bright sky for a couple moments before closing his eyes again. He actually drifted in and out of sleep, and while he was in sleep was of course when Flash approached yelling. He got awoken by the yell, but he couldn't quite tell who it was or what they said, so he twisted around quickly, trying not to kill his abdomen, his face lighting up when he saw Flash alive and well. He hadn't interacted with the General much, but he was glad that the guy was alive, even if just for Glory's sake. She seemed close with him. Leo let out something close to a crow being strangled as Flash hugged/squeezed the life out of him, mostly in pain but also as a sort of greeting. When the guy let go, he flopped over again with a pained groan. "Hi, Flash. Nice to see you're alive." He commented before listening, a faint smile appearing on his face. However, for once in his life, he winced at the idea of a fishy bar fight. "That's a stupendous idea, but could we maybe postpone until I don't feel like an airliner accidentally landed on me?" He asked with a slightly pleading look up towards Flash. He was even thinking about pushing back the brawl with Glory a little. So soon just seemed like a recipe for pain.

(Ma'am, first of all, how tf did he get hit by a car in medieval times, and second, HOW is he walking?? Several years of physical therapy and a crap ton of hope? xD) Lieutenant Dwyer Glory just grumbled something like, "Shit, I did." - She gave Leo a rather puzzled look as she asked, "How do you drag someone viciously? You know what, just for that I'm 100% sure I'd only viciously drag you across 89% of the crevices and bumps. And rocks." She rolled her eyes and lilted, "If that's lucky, I'd hate to see your idea of unlucky." A few minutes later, Flash came by, and Glory stood as quickly as she could and hugged him back, "You don't owe us anything, you'd've done the same for me." She smiled faintly at Leo's words and said, "How about we cause chaos next week sometime, let bones heal before we break them again. I think a celebratory bottle of champagne sounds nice tonight." She looked at Leo and asked, "Would you happen to have any? If not, I can get some in... less than ethical ways..." Glory wasn't a thief, nor was she being entirely serious, but it would be fairly easy to nab a bottle from the bar they'd trashed- they might still doing repairs and replacing furniture. She was kind of banking on Leo's supposed alcohol closet, though if he didn't have any she'd be responsible and not steal. Or settle for whiskey. Edited at June 24, 2024 12:04 PM by KPH Equestrian

(This is the medieval times!?!?! I DIDNT EVEN KNOW THAT- He broke his spine, but his spinal cord did not sever. It did take a while, though, lol)) - General Anubis AKA: Craptain Jack Spare-Ribs +++ Leo gave her a sigh. A heavy sigh. "I don't know." He answered with a small huff, sucking in a deep breath, annoyed when it felt like his airway closed off again. He chuckled quietly at her next words, smiling faintly. "I can believe that." Leo replied, then rolled his eyes. After that, he focused on Flash, glad the man was okay. Ish. Enough? He wasn't quite sure. "Next week sounds great." He agreed readily, knowing he'd feel MUCH better by then. Or.. hoping. He nodded vigorously at her mention of alcohol, more than ready to give in to that want. Maybe it would even make everything hurt less. Then again, he shouldn't drink that much. "Would I? That has to he a stupid question, Glory." He scoffed, shaking his head. "Of COURSE I have champagne. I have a lot of different types of brain killing stuff. Just tell me when you want it, and maybe you can see the closet of liquor in the process." He grinned evilly, rocking forward slightly so he could hold onto his legs and stay upright.
