(Fun fact: you can die of laughter) Lieutenant Dwyer Glory mumbled an agreement, something like "Good plan," then stretched before curling herself like a dog, her nose tucked under her wing. She lay there for a few minutes, just thinking about nothing in particular, before the cold set in. She knew it'd get cold in the woods, but she wasn't used to it. After a few minutes of shivering, she swallowed her pride, stood, mumbled something that could pass for "don't mind me", and trudged over to Leo's other side, curling up with her back pressed against his, tucking her nose back under her wing.

(That's going on Leo's tombstone "FUN FACT: YOU CAN DIE OF LAUGHTER be careful kids. It happens. I promise- it wasn't the rum." And then right beside his tombstone is another that says "Here lies Glory Dwyer, who refused to write a song about Leo's heroic death, so he came back from the dead to get vengeance. Fun fact: friends can and will kill each other. Be careful, kids" XD)) - Leo was just about to doze off- approximately .0001 seconds after he laid down- when Glory moved, then stood. He grumbled a protest under his breath, hoping that didn't mean he had to move, too. A second later, though, he felt cold scales drop down by his back. "Holy crapiolis- you're freezing." He whisper/hissed under his breath. He was pretty much radiating heat, because he always did. He never got cold, unless in water. Grumbling, he flopped a wing over her, hoping to warm her up faster so she didn't freeze his scales off before they woke up. At this point, he was too darn tired to care about the fact they were so close together, or she was the one who moved, or how his brain was freaking out about saying he wasn't going to freak out. He fell asleep 3 seconds later.

Flash couldn't find Glory or Leo so he knew they'd gone after the missing generals. He knew the only way they could save them was if he kept the corrupted busy but that was becoming harder and harder, he knew he had to find Ammit again befor she realised what had happened.

(Fun Fact: Glory was in fact not sweet, despite Leo's claims xD) Lieutenant Dwyer Glory closed her eyes, smiling faintly, as Leo put his wing over her. She settled in a little closer to him, and fell asleep listening to the nocturnal creatures around them. - When Glory woke, it was just before dawn, in that strange time when everything was dull and gray, and the whole world still felt as though it were asleep. She lay still for a few minutes, listening to the rhythmic sound of Leo's breathing and the forest animals, of which only a few were out and about. Eventually, Glory forced herself to get up, ever so carefully so as not to disturb Leo. She slunk away, hungry, to find some poor creature to eat. She stood, listening, ears twitching, until she caught the sound of something in the underbrush. She raised her head slightly and sniffed the air. Deer? Mm, deer, Glory thought, catching the familiar scent of a somewhat dirty, fuzzy animal. She stalked over toward it, then pounced in an almost catlike way, snatching the deer's neck in her jaws, and snapping it. Despite being so much larger than the deer, it hadn't noticed her until it was to late. She picked up the lifeless body in her mouth, trotting like a proud dog back to Leo, where she dropped it in front of his snout. "Breakfast!" She announced, waking him up.

(She was sometimes! And there'll be more, with how I forsee the future LOL)) - General Anubis +++ Leo was dreaming. Or having a nightmare- he couldn't quite tell at this point. It was weird- everything was dark, but he felt like he was somewhere, and he could feel ropes around his wrists. Nightmare about the Corrupted? How old was he again, 28? Should this be happening? Guess it really was bringing out the child in him. He was too sleepy to care, but the more time stretched on, the more it felt he was trapped in an endless void of darkness. A second later, however, blinding lights flashed before his eyes, sending pain flaring through his face. He squinted and winced, looking to his side to see .. Glory? Why? She was... knocked out? Yeah, just unsconsious, thankfully she was still breathing. Why thankfully, though? This was just a dream/nightmare thingy inside his head. She was tied up, too, though, so he guessed that this wasn't going to end well. Suddenly a Corrupted person entered through the door, holding a long spear dripping with something on the end. Daggers lay around the floor, he could now see. The time seemed to pass even slower now, like he was watching everything in slow motion, but that made it so, so much worse. The next few HOURS it seemed were filled with Glory's agonized screams of pain as they tortured her for a secret he didn't know. He could hear himself begging for them to stop and ripping at the ropes, but everything felt out of body now. The only thing he could really feel was the immense terror radiating through his body. Everything felt too real. Far too real. He heard himself scream in anger as the spear pierced her heart, then he woke up to the sound of her voice- He jumped halfway to heaven, startled to no abounds. His heart was beating far too fast, and he could still feel that cold, gut wrenching terror. However, his eyes landed on her face, and she was there. Alive. Cheerful and proud looking. Alive. Unharmed. Alive. After getting over the moment of panic and shoving down the fear that still twisted in his stomach, he glanced at the deer and figured out what she had said. "Oh- how- how long have you been up? What time is it?" He half grumbled, glancing up at the sky, where the sun had already risen. He winced slightly, stretching out a wing, hearing bones popping. That was always a good sign. Edited at June 4, 2024 12:10 PM by Wild West Warmbloods

(Fair xD And you are correct lol ;3) Lieutenant Dwyer Glory's smile faltered a little as Leo woke, almost terrified, before answering his question. "About half an hour, it's about 4, I think. Maybe a little later. You okay?" She asked, tilting her head. She tore a hind leg off the deer, snapping it up quickly, crunching the bones, then nudging the rest toward Leo. "Eat," was all she said, then stretched, yawning. "We still have nine miles to go, remember?" She said with a grin. Edited at June 4, 2024 12:20 PM by KPH Equestrian

General Anubis AKA: Craptain Jack Spare-Ribs +++ Leo scrambled to regain his composure, hoping he hadn't lost it too much. He had managed to slow down his breathing quickly, but he must've looked like a madman waking up. He sat down wit a small huff, curling his tail around his back talons. "4- holy guacamole. Ima die. Too early." He yawned widely as he complained, shaking his head to rid himself of the sleep that still tried to cling on. "Yeah- I'm fiiine. Why would you think otherwise?" he flashed a rather unconvincing smile that looked like it was haunted by the ghost of his past. Truthfully, he was quite troubled by the ... nightmare. Gah, it hurt admitting as a full grown adult General he had nightmares. Well, technically, this was the first in 13 years, so he was doing good. It had been truly terrifying to watch her get hurt, over and over, and then... killed. Just the thought made him want to shudder. So he was scared of something. Huh. Her words snapped him out of his queasy thinking, making him wince. "9 miles... urgh." He wrinkled his nose slightly, but accepted part of the deer, as he was absolutely starving, having only eaten a bagel the day before. When he was done, he stood with a small huff. "9 miles to go, 0 miles completed. We'd better get moving."

(no no no, stop making me feel bad for him😭) Lieutenant Dwyer Glory snorted at his comment and retorted, "It's not that early, you'll live." She shot him a pointed look, saying, "Gee, I don't know, maybe because you woke up like I was a necromancer or something." She sat while he ate, listening for anything approaching, the smell of smoke gone by now. As Leo stood, she did the same, rolling her eyes. "We've already gone 17 miles, I'd say that's pretty frigging good," She teased, starting toward campus. "Hopefully the others haven't all had their asses kicked, I can think of a few places I'd rather be than fighting more corrupted," She said with a sigh, then thought of something. "Hey, you've promised me both a rematch and a trip to the bar, I hope you're not planning on doing those back-to-back," She teased with a grin.

(You should feel bad for him! That's the point XD) General Anubis AKA: Craptain Jack Spare-Ribs +++ Leo made a face. "I am NOT an early bird. I will never catch a worm, metaphorically." He groaned. At her next words, he couldn't even muster a joke. All they did was remind him of why he woke up like that. Why did he CARE SO MUCH. Well, of course he had 1,957 answers to that question, but none of them were the ones he wanted to hear. "It is pretty good." He agreed with a faint smile, ruffling his wings slightly and focusing on the trip ahead. "I can think of way more than a few places I'd rather be." He snorted. "Then again, imagine if we were invincible. Fighting the corrupted would be SO FRIGGING FUN." He joked with a wide grin, then winced and looked at anywhere but her as she mentioned the two promises he made. "Uhhhmmm you remember those? Pfft of course not, I wouldn't want to show up to a bar dragging your mangled body." He joked with a sly grin. "Of course, we do need to lay down a very important rule- NO KILLING. I don't want to be harrassed for days because I had 4 chances to kill you and I didn't." Leo rolled his eyes, scoffing slightly.

(nooo😭) Lieutenant Dwyer Glory grinned slyly at him, saying, "Oh, so you could catch a literal worm? I find that hard to believe." Really, she knew he absolutely could catch a worm if he actually THOUGHT about it, he might even eat it if she dared him to. The thought made Glory snort, and she tripped over an exposed root with an undignified yelp, catching herself quickly. "Depends on HOW invincible we are, it'd be terrible to still get hurt but not be able to die," She said, wrinkling her snout. She cast him a sidelong glance and said, "Of course I remember. There's no way in hell that'd happen, it'd be the other way around." She wrinkled her nose at him, rolling her eyes. "I woefully accept your conditions, even though you're too big a chicken to give me so much as a paper cut," She teased, ignoring the fact he only had 3 chances to kill her, thank-you-very-much.
