Yeah I'll work on getting my post up tonight! A big 130 acre farm in Flagstaff Arizona is where Adley called home. Ironstone ranch. She shares her home with a great quality line of reining and cutting horse, some cows, and her family. That is until her dad is starting to slow down and they bring in a new guy to help run the place. Caleb hunt… Adley isn’t exactly thrilled about this idea because she wants to run the farm but her dad doesn’t think she’s ready yet and he doesn’t think she can do it on her own. She was in the barn grooming Dax getting ready to turn him out, “He really doesn’t think I can do it, so instead he brings in some random cowboy to help me run this place,” she said to her horse shaking her head. “I can’t even believe that,” she scoffed. Even though his sole purpose was to assist with chores and maintenance she hoped and prayed he wouldn’t tell her what to do or boy would he be in for a real treat. The help with the cows and the horses would be nice but she wants to train and take over her dad’s job. She wasn’t a big fan of strangers or guys. She always preferred the company of horses. She knew how to play nice but she also knows how to stand her ground. She turned to look out the barn doors as she heard a vehicle and she rolled her eyes. (Sry it's short, will lengthen later) Caleb pulled into a long gravel driveway, glancing at the name. Ironstone Ranch. Caleb sighs, looking around. Damn, this place is huge. Splash and I can do trails when we're done for the day. Caleb parks and gets out of his old farm truck, walking the length of his trailer, unlatching the doors and walking in. He grabs his pintaloosa mare, Splash, and unties her from the loop. Caleb walks the mare into the barn and spots an angry looking woman. He ignores her, seeing her glare at him.

“Caleb right… Adley. You can put your horse in stall 7 on the left or in turnout pasture 2. Right out the doors second one on the right,” she said shortly. She put Dax’s halter on and led the golden bay horse out of his stall and to his pasture which was marked as turnout number 6. They had a 2 whiteboards inside the 25 stall barn with an extra 10 stall barn down to the left. It had marked fields with the horses name in each field. They had a list of important contact numbers, and their fire emergency plan along with a calendar. She heard an atv roll up and it was her dad. “Ah Caleb I see you got here, gorgeous horse you got, I hope she settles in nicely. Have you met Adley?” He asked and he had just passed his daughter turn out the horse and she appears next to him. “He sure has,” she said sarcastically and he gave her a stern look. “We are glad to have you here to help out,” and then he whispered to him “she’ll come around eventually don’t let her hurt you too much,” he said to him with a wink “Speaking of which Adley could you please give Caleb a tour I have to go check on a few calves,” he asked politely “Can I go check on the claves?” She asked and he shook his head. “No, give him a tour and try to make him feel welcome,” he said to her as he drove away and she stood there glaring at him.

"Brief run down, we have about 28 horses right now with 3 in foal. We produce a good quality line of reining and cutting horses we also sell premium beef. The ranch has been in the family for 3 generations. Each turnout field is marked because we try to keep the mares and stallions far enough apart. Our horses are usually out 24/7. Sometimes during bad weather we bring them in. We have a schedule for what horses get ridden and when. We do some sales and I meet with clients. I train and I ride. So you basically just help turning horses in and out, feeding, helping at shows if one of us has to stay behind, and maintenance like checking cows, fixing fences and gates. Usually I help with all that too," she said bluntly. "Pretty much if you stay out of my way I'll stay out of yours, I work best alone," she said with a hint of attitude. "This place is my home and so I want to make sure it's taken care of properly," she said as it meant so much to her.

"Yes, ma'am." He said, rolling his eyes visibly at her. "I'm gonna turn in for the night." He adds, walking away to his room, trying to avoid the sassy woman
