Regan chuckled lightly at him before rolling her eyes. In truth, if she wasn't woken up by him she'd probably never wake up. She'd just sleep all day. Well, that didn't seem too uneappealing, actually. She wouldn't mind sleeping all day. "It's not difficult to cook a steak, hun. And I'm sure you'd eat anything," she mused lightly. "Maybe I should just cook for you the rest of my life," she then added with a bit of a chuckle. She then frowned at him. "When did you change your mind?" She asked with a pout. "And, you absolutely did say that," she added lightly. "But it's fine, I can forget, if you really want me to," she chuckled lightly. She couldn't help but feel a bit... demoralised when the continued to tell her about his singular goal - it tugged at her heart a little bit, to know that someone so wonderful had to go through something so... heinous. It made sense that he was flighty of her. He didn't like the small movements, touches and the likes, and it made sense. She sighed softly to the boy before wandering over behind him. She placed a soft hand on his back before placing her chin just on his shoulder. "You're not gonna get hurt again. You're not gonna get hit or whipped or beaten in anyway... not ever again," she promised gently before going back to her little chores. "However, I'm afraid that you're going to struggle to never see anyone again especially now that you've got me," she then added to him with a faint smile. It did hurt a little bit, knowing that he didn't want to see anyone - her included, but she knew it wasn't personal, so didn't take too personally.

Tyler nodded eagerly. "Of you could cook steak for the rest of my life, I would be in heaven on earth." He half chirped, though it was hard for Tyler to sound that excited. Though, steaks... were just... so good. When Regan wandered over he wilted slightly at the thought of his depressing story. -I need to stop wrecking the situation- Tyler thought with a slight snot, though he listened to what Regan said. He gave a nod to show he did understand, thinking about her words. They were so comforting, even if Tyler already knew that. At her last comment he winced slightly, realizing how that might've sounded. "That was my goal before, but I'm very happy with you." He added hurriedly, his brow creased slightly. Tyler didn't want to upset Regan in any way, shape, or form

Regan smiled happily to him... well, as long as he wanted that. "Tyler, where were you living? You sound so... southern," she mused lightly. It was a bit random, but she supposed she could afford to be curious. It wasn't off to ask where he was from, was it? She felt like she should know by now. She hummed lightly to his comment, a happy smile across her face. "Well, it'll give me a good name, hm? When you're all famous I'll be your chef." She chirped in a teasing tone to the boy before shaking her head. She shook her head gently to the boy before glancing back over to him. "Tyler, it's alright," she mused gently to him. She guessed he felt bad... but he had no reason to. He'd done nothing wring.

(Oh yes, southern accent paired with the love for steak means down south XD) - Tyler tipped his head at Regan's question, realizing it was a valid one. "Well.. not very surprisingly... Texas." He answered slowly, trying to decide which state he would go with. He had lived in two, and he loved both of them the same. "But I did live in Minnesota for a while. The land of the frozen barrel arctic." He joked, a small smile on his face. "So, where did you live?" Tyler then asked, because he was genuinely curious. Nothing really pointed anywhere that he could think of. "Ha, when IM famous? You gone mad!" Tyler's barked a laugh, though he was teasing. He nodded at her last comment, still trying to figure out where she would have lived.

Regan chuckled lightly to him, giving an understanding nod. "Ahh, yes. I did think so," she mused lightly to him. "You're probably the best Texan I know, then," she told Tyler happily. Well, that was probably the wrong thing to say... he was probably the best person she knew. And, she was absolutely stereotyping Texans as a whole. She should probably... not do that. She hummed lightly to him. "Oregon. Well, I was in the Netherlands for a while. My father was in the army so I was a bit of a military brat. Just so happens we were out here when this whole thing happened," she chuckled lightly about the thought. She nodded to him. "Yes, when you're famous! Who else?" She grinned lightly to him. "I've heard you sing. Would could absolutely be famous," she chirped to him with a bit of a hum before finally slipping back into her chair with a heavy sigh... now the whole cabin was clean, they could get on with whatever theh wanted to do.

Tyler nodded slightly, though a small grin came onto his face at her second sentence. "You may not want to insult Texans, they will totally insult you back." He commented, though he was serious. They might insult you back by chopping off your head and feeding it to wild boars, buuuut... uhhh... never mind, that was just bad. When Regan said where she was from he nodded. -I wouldn't have guessed that until I guessed 47 other states- Tyler thought with a slight smirk. He wouldn't have guessed the two places he had lived... not Texas, and not Minnesota. Other than that Regan could really live anywhere. "Good state." He commented. As long as she didn't say California, he was okay. "My singing is okay, but not that good, and I would never want to be famous." He snorted as an answer

Regan chuckled lightly before pouting. "Well, what would you do about it, Tyler?" She asked with an amused pout. The simple answer, was probably nothing. "And I don't see any other Texans about... lucky me," she smiled to him. She cocked her head and shrugged. "I suppose... like I said, I've been everywhere so it doesn't make much of a difference which state I was in last," she hummed lightly to him. She gasped at him and padded over to grab a pillow, then bashed it against his chest. "Tyler, it's really good!" She told him with a small laugh. "Don't put yourself down like that," she then added to him. After everything he'd been through, though, she could absolutely understand why he might not want to be famous... it was a bit of a scary feat.

Tyler raised an eyebrow, looking at her. "If you were the one that insulted me, nothing." He said with a slight side glance. His brain continued for him. -If someone else insulted me, then I would insult them back- he thought. Sounded fair enough. He nodded at what she said, looking thoughtful and far out for a little bit... until a pillow smashed into his chest. "Hey!" Tyler protested with a bit of a yelp of surprise, chucking the pillow back at her. "You may think it's good, but to me I sound like a croaking bullfrog that tried to sing like Toby Keith after having his throat ripped out." He retorted, though a slight smile crept its way onto his face.

Regan hummed and gave a kind of happy grin before trotting over to stand right in front of him, peering up at the boy as her grin turned into a bit of a smirk. "Oh, are you saying I'm special then? I must be if you'd do nothing to insult me back," she teased before rolling her eyes. She squeaked when the pillow his her chest, but stuck her tongue out at him with a childish huff. "What was that for?!" She mused lightly, but fluffed the pillow up and placed it back on the neatly made up bed. She didn't think that he sounded like a... what did he say? A bullfrog? "Well, I've never heard a bullfrog trying to sing like Toby Keith, but I'd like to think you're mighty better than that," she told him happily. "I could listen to you talk all day. You have a nice voice, and you do sing very well," she added happily.

Yeah, his explanation may not have been the best. Tyler tipped his head and chuckled slightly at Regan. "Yes, you are special." He confirmed with an agreeing nod. "That was revenge!" Tyler exclaimed with a grin, his dark eyes glinting teasingly. "Well thank you for the compliment... even if my voice isn't as nice as you say it is, I'm sure it could be considered interesting." He smiled slightly at what he was saying. Were they really teasing about his voice? -why?- Tyler thought with a hopeless sigh, though he was kind of just trying not to laugh
