The woman gave a bit of a grin when Sage pecked her cheek, giving a happy little hum. She should have gotten used to all this by now, but the little bits of affection she got always made her happy. She started getting dinner ready, though let it cook while she went to get Silas from school... he only went during the afternoons just so he could get comfortable before going full time... it was weird not having him, but it was certainly happy to have Liz with her. She wandered over to Sages little office before pecking the top of his head. "Can you keep an eye on Liz... and turn the oven off in twenty? I'm gonna go grab Silas," she hummed gently to him before pecking his head again and wandering out the house happily.

Sage had resumed painting by the time Mari had wandered into his office, and he grinned over at her when she came in, pausing his painting to lean back and peck her cheek. "sure hon," he mused lightly, trying not to sound too out of breath. He didn't want to worry her. If he continued to have issues, he'd go to the doctor on a couple of days, but I til then he'd just try to get through it. Once Mari left he painted for a while longer before cleaning up quick and moving to get Liz from where she was starting to wake from her nap, then taking food out of the oven so it would be ready for dinner. The work caused him to start coughing again, so he set the pan down and then practically collapsed on a kitchen chair to hack a lung up before moving to catch his breath and then finish his job.

The woman smiled and wandered off after a moment, just happy to go out for a little while. She picked Silas up, and stopped at a few of the shops to get some snacks and things for after dinner. She wandered back in the house, telling Silas to go get changed while she got dinner ready. She thanked Sage for watching the oven, pecking his cheek as she set the table. She called both kids down after a moment, and they all sat down happily to eat their dinner.

Sage greeted the girl happily when she got back, picking Silas up and spinning him in a circle, as was his normal greeting to the boy, before setting him down and sending him off to obey his mother. Then he pecked mari on the lips lightly, humming happily. " Dinners ready," he chirped. "I just took it out a few minutes ago to start cooling down," he informed her lightly, suppressing a cough again and drinking a glass of water to keep himself from coughing too much. Then he moved to start setting plates and such out for dinner.

The woman gave a big grin towards him before moving to pick up the pot. "Thank you," she hummed happily before going to put the pot on the table to start dishing out their food. The kids started to eat happily, while she waited for Sage to settle down. It didn't take long for them all to finish up, though, and told the kids to go get ready for bed while she washed up. She hummed softly as she cleared up, sort of glancing back at Sage as he took a cup of water. "You okay?" she asked softly before going to put everything away and drying her hands off.

Sage nodded lightly in response to the girls comment, humming "you're welcome, hon," before finishing setting down all the stuff on the table and then sitting down in his own chair, welcoming the kids when they eventually wandered over and into the kitchen. "Yeah," he mused in response to Maris question. "Just a little under the weather I guess," he added with a shrug.

The woman gave a small smile to him, kind of patting Liz's head when she wandered into the kitchen. "Well then why don't you go get ready for bed and I'll bring you a tea, hm? I'll sort everything out here," she offered softly to him before sort of moving to pick Liz up. She complained a little when told it was starting to get late, but both her and Sage would probably want to be in bed soon anyway. She flashed the man a smile before cocking her head at him. "Off you go. You've been working hard anyway, you're probably exhaused babe," she mused softly.

Sage sort of hummed and shrugged again in response to her comment, halfheartedly protesting "it's really not that bad, hon," for a while before giving in with a sigh. Maybe an early night would fix this whole coughing up a lunch every two minutes thing. So, he wandered upstairs with a plate, showering quickly and changing into his pajamas before settling into the bed and nibbling at his dinner, which was halfway finished but set to the side by the time Mari came up with hot tea. He'd felt worse by then, and he was afraid he'd wind up throwing the food up the way he was coughing....he almost had a couple times. So he was weary to finish it....at least for now.

The woman gave a small smile before going to clear everything up. The man didn't look bad at all, but if he had a cold relaxing would be best. Rest. She got the kids into bed after she'd finished clearing up, though when she wandered into the room she sort of furrowed her brows at him in a slightly concerned manner. She wasn't worried at all, but she obviously mothered him and wanted him to be healthy. She got showered and changed quickly before hopping onto the bed and gave him his tea. "You just not feeling great?" She asked curiously. She hadn't seen anything to be worried about, not really, but he did look a little tired.

Sage took the tea gratefully when Mari appeared by him, and he sipped at it for a moment, leaning against her side lightly before responding to her question. "I'm just tired easier than normal I feel like," he hummed. "Ive been coughing here and there, but it's not really that bad of an issue," he added, taking another sip of the tea, holding his face by the steam, as the heat admittedly helped his chest not feel like it was squeezing his lungs so much. She'd know what it meant, after working in the ward all those years ago....so he did his best to hide it, as he didn't want to worry her. But it did feel good. "A good night's sleep will probably help," he admitted with a sigh.
