Caleb didn't wake but fell silent, the sweat and tembling never stopping

Morgan sighed as she watched him, not wanting to wake him up if she couldn't. Instead, she just wrapped a comforting hand hand around his side and buried her nose into him. She didn't know what was wrong... he had bad dreams before, but he'd also woken up for her. He really didn't look okay this time.

Caleb woke the next morning and almost instantly got out of bed and sat on the floor, leaning against the wall. He had a feearful expression on his face, his eyes vacant, as the new fear surrounded his thoughts

Morgan was sound asleep for a little while longer - although, she woke up about five minutes later when her alarm started buzzing. She looked exhusted, and when she searched for the warm body next to her, all she could find was the warmth he'd left in the bed. She shot up, and looked over the room, her features relaxing as she spotted him on the floor. She crawled across the bed, and ran her nails lightly through his hair. "You alright?" She asked him softly, clearly more than a little concerned about him.

Caleb flinched at her touch slightly, the nightmare still in his mind, before leaning into her hand and nodding to her question. "I will be. Don't worry." He said softly, rubbing his thumb on her cheek.

Morgan frowned as he flinched, although kept her hand running softly through his hair. Her brows furrowed slightly, and she just gave him a look. "You were dreaming really bad last night," she whispered softly to him. "You wanna tell me about it?" She asked quietly.

|
"No, it's fine. Just my parents again...." He said, his mental walls unwavering even with her soft voice.

Morgan sighed softly, shaking her head. "They can't get to you anymore," she promised him, shifting where she was laying on the edge of the bed so that her chin was resting on his shoulder. "They're in prison. They're not getting out for a long, long time, and we'll be long gone by then," she told him gently, not really paying attention the fact she said 'we.' He knew she'd follow him anywhere, and if he wanted to leave some place, she'd be right beside him.

|
Caleb nodded, already knowing this but having the confirmation was key to him. "I know. I love you." He said quietly, softly, as though if he spoke too loud she may flip a switch and yell at him as his mind said she'd do. She's not them. She's good....She cares about me and loves me. I'm safe....I'm safe..... His common sense took control of his thoughts and he melted into Morgan's touch

Morgan nodded gently, and shifted to wrap her arms softly around his shoulders. "I love you too. More than anything," she mumbled softly after a moment. Her eyes softened, and she closed them. "You were sweating last night. You wanna to get showered and I'll get you some breakfast," she whsiepred.
