Aria stayed silent for a while before Caroline started crying for Sage. "Shh. It's okay. Daddy will be back soon. I hope." She cooed to the little girl. Caroline squealed happily. Aria smiled back, rocking her back and forth, hoping she would fall asleep soon enough.

Sage wasn't too sure what all happened until they ran off the opposing army. He was just glad they'd won and they could work on rebuilding. He looked at the sun, and when he saw he'd been fighting for hours, he hopped off chaos and ran to where he'd left Aria and Caroline, hoping they were alright. He was exhausted, and covered in mud and blood from various cuts and scraped, and bruises, and sweat, but he didn't even notice his aches and pains...he just wanted his family to be alright.

Aria noticed the closet door opening and she screamed in horror when she saw someone standing there, covered in blood and scrapes. When she noticed it was Sage, the girl gasped, standing to her feet and wrapping her arms around him happily. Caroline sqealed and hugged her dad. Aria cried into his shoulder. "You look... horrible." She said grabbing his hand.

Sage felt a bit guilty about scaring her, though by the time he even registered why she'd be scared she'd thrown her arms around him and he just held onto her tightly. He pulled back slightly at her comment and blinked. "I do," he asked, looking down at himself before making a face. "I guess I do," he admitted. "I should probably take a bath," he half joked, though he was just so tired now that he knew they were safe...even a bath seemed like too much work. But he didn't want to get the bed dirty or anything.

Aria nodded. She walked back to the room with him. "You look like... you just ran through a herd of elephants." She joked with a soft chuckle. The girl turned on the bath for him and smiled. "You did good today." She noted. "I thought you were going to die." The girl said sadly.

Sage cracked a smile at the girl's joke. "I practically did....I think every single one of the guys out there was twice as big as I was," he noted with amusement. Her compliment did make him feel good about himself, though her last comment was true. He hummed and nodded. "For a while I thought I was too," he admitted. "The only thing that kept me fighting was that I had a job to do. And that's to take care of you and Carolibne."

Aria smiled. She hugged Sage tightly, not wanting to let go. She thought he would be gone forever. She chuckled at his first comment. "You're not that small." She said sarcastically. "I love you." She said happily. "Me and Caroline were fine." She noted, trying to help him know they were alright.

Sage chuckled tiredly and shrugged. "I feel that small," he joked with a yawn. "Can i skip a shower for now and just sleep on the couch," he groaned. "I'm tired..." He just really wanted to go to bed.

Aria tilted her head to the side. "Sage! The couch will have blood on it!" She said, amused. "Take a shower and then you can sleep with me." She groaned. "Please? I hate sleeping without you." She noted.

Sage half groaned. "Then I'll sleep on the floor," he grumbled, though he nodded with a yawn at the girl's request. "Fine," he mumbled. He'd do his best anyway...hed wash up, he just wasn't sure how much scrubbing he'd be able to do, being this exhausted.
