Sage couldn't help but chuckle at the girl's comment. "What you don't want me to be a grumpy teenage boy," he joked. "What I surprise," he hummed in amusement, knowing no one likes grumpy teenage boys. He was a grumpy teenage boy a lot, and even he didn't like other grumpy teenage boys. He raised an eyebrow at her second comment, finding that rather amusing too. but he sort of just leaned into her happily, resting his chin on her leg after a moment.

Quinn sighed. "No... I would prefer you don't Ben ... that." She chuckled, gazing out at the gently tumbling river. Quinn glanced down as Sage rested his chin on her leg. He was more and more like a dog the more time she spent time with him. It was amusing, and kind of adorable. Quinn's eyes twinkled as she looked back out at the gurgling foamy water

Sage chuckled lightly at the girl's comment, definitely rather amused at her response. He looked up at the girl and then out at the open, trying to see what she was looking at. When he figured out she was looking at the river, he watched the water for a second before looking back out towards Sahara and Chaos, who were happily grooming eachother. Must be nice. Humans didn't really groom eachother...but they had other ways to show affection, he supposed. Now he was comparing human and horse affection signs. And somehow he added wolf in there too.

Quinn couldn't help but be amused by what Sage was thinking about. Her eyes sparkled slightly as she sat there... even just being there was awesome. Quinn knew that Sage had no idea how much he meant to her. No idea whatsoever. She could tell him over and over how much she cared about him, but he would never really believe her. Maybe she just had to be way more direct. Quinn had an idea...

Sage didn't notice Quinn watching him...he was just watching the horses and letting his brain run wild. Well, his brain usually ran wild...but it was more wild than usual, he supposed. At least it was a good wild, and not the kind of scrambling panic he got whenever he had a nightmare or startled at a loud noise. No, this was nice. And rather amusing at that. But really, he supposed he just enjoyed cuddling up with Quinn peacefully and happily in the warm sun. He'd missed the sun....he'd been cooped up in the cave far too long for his liking, so he hadn't been able to lay in it and soak up the warmth in a long time.

(Oh come on... the male should have to do this -le eyeroll- XD)

Quinn decided to carry out her plan. It would make both of them happier, anyway. "Sage... I don't think you actually know how much I love you. I really do... you are my best friend, and the one person that makes me happy. The one person that cares." Quinn said quietly, looking at Sage. She then leaned in and kissed him... for real... finally.

(XDD...Sage is just a lil bit awkward haha)

Sage raised his head when Quinn started talking, tilting it backwards so he could see her face while she was talking. His lips parted slightly in surprise, and he was definitely more surprised when she kissed him, though he couldn't say he didn't like it. After a moment of shock, he tilted his chin slightly to kiss the girl back, a bit heasitantly at first.

Quinn was iverjoyed... at least Sage liked it. He was always so hesitant and uptight... she hoped this helped. Quinn pull away and looked at him, tilting her head slightly. She tried to observe his emotions... and it was very difficult. Although she could make out surprise and shock. "Better?" Quinn asked timidly

Sage had to admit, part of him was slightly dissapointed when she pulled away, though of course he was super glad she'd done what she had...it had certainly been nice. He gave her a small smile and a sheepish nod. "Yeah," he hummed lightly.

-oi thank the Lord he actually liked it...- Quinn thought. She smiled and cuddled up close to him again. "That's good." Quinn commented, feeling content. She knew Sage was much too hesitant to make the first move at this point, but maybe he would finally realize she liked him as more than just a friend... because he wasn't showing that he knew.
