Maxine giggled and put his plate in front of him "Good morning and happy birthday Sage." she cooed happily kissing his cheek "I made your favorite for you." she chirped before setting Charlie up in her bouncer and sitting with him at the table with her own plate of breakfast "I'd of brought you breakfast in bed but you're not a morning person..." she chuckled "So I let you sleep late instead." she purred happily. |

Sage gave Max a tired grin when she bounced over to set the plate down in front of him. He was a bit excited...no, he was a lot excited...to see what Max had planned, but he was still half asleep. He chuckled when Max commented on him not being a morning person and leaned over so he could rest his head on her shoulder once he'd finished eating. He normally ate faster than Max, plus he'd started a minute earlier than her, but he was more than happy to sit with her while she finished. |

Maxine smiled and wrapped her arm around him when he came and rested his head on her shoulder "How was breakfast?" she asked with a smile glancing over at him between bites. |

Sage chuckled and pressed a kiss to her shoulder when she asked the question. "It was wonderful, as usual," he hummed gratefully. The girl...er woman? Whatever, she always got up before him to make sure breakfast was ready for him, and ways had dinner ready when he came in from working. And he was grateful for it. |

"Good i'm glad." she cooed happily. Once she finished she grabbed his plate and went to do the dishes. When she came back she wrapped her arms around him "So what do you want to do now?" she asked before she started massaging his shoulders "Would you like to shower or open your presents first?" she smiled leaning over and looking at him curiously. |

Sage chuckled and then let her go out her plate away. He hummed in thought, and the shrugged. "I dunno," he admitted. Really, the massage was nice in itself. "I suppose I can shower first, that way it's out of the way," he finally hummed. He didn't think that she'd want him to go work on the house, so he doubted he'd have to shower later. |

"Whatever you want." she assured him kissing the top of his head before giving a small smirk "If you wait a minute for me to put Charlie down for her nap I could come spoil you?" she whispered playfully in his ear. |

Sage chuckled and tilted his head backwards to press a light kiss to the girls chin. "I think that would be ok with me," he purred. He was more than happy to have his wife come spoil him, but he could tease a bit. She knew he was excited for it....he could joke about and make it seem like he wasn't. |

Max smiled and gave a nod, she put Charlie down for a nap and joined him in the shower she planned on spoiling him rotten today as much as she could. When they had finished in the shower Max put her clothes back on and smiled and got him some clothes as she dried her hair "I'll go get your presents ready." she smiled heading off to get them set up on the table while he changed into his clothes. When he came out she was waiting with 3 presents on the table, one big box on the bottom, a bag, and another much smaller box sitting on top of it with the card between the bag and the smaller box. On the card she'd written Happy Birthday with some decorations around the border, inside were hers and Charlie's handprints "I know this is your first birthday ever... I hope you're enjoying it so far... You are an incredible husband and father and Charlie and I are so lucky to have you. Love, Max... P.s I hope you like your presents" Inside the smaller box was some new earrings... they weren't super dangly but they were definitely Sage's style she hoped maybe Charlie might leave them alone if he decided against going without earrings. The bag had a T-shirt in it for him with "Worlds greatest dad" on it as well as a leather jacket. The third was an amazing guitar that she couldn't resist getting for Sage, she thought he might like to play maybe try and learn how to play some of his favorite songs... or write his own or whatever, she thought it might be fun for him... not to mention it was the one thing she was able to add her own little custom Details on it for him. |

Sage was definitely enjoying his birthday...and Max had definitely spoiled him for the day. He had a bright smile on his face the entire time Max gave him present after present, and when he was finished he kissed the girl and thanked her happily and settled down next to her on the couch, picking Charlie up so she could play in his lap while they sat there. He half hoped the girl would run his shoulders again, though the day had been great and she'd already spoiled him, so he wasn't going to bother her and ask. He'd already been spoiled, which he definitely wasn't used to and he was still a bit shy about it, but he was enjoying the day a whole lot. |
