Yeah! Of course Excuse it if it doesn't make any sense at all, I'mabsolutely exhausted)) By the time Trixie found her way back to her friends, the awkwardness had mostly subsided- but there were still remnants of it. She was trying to figure out something He could do that wouldn't bore him to death, like being with her friends, and it occured to her how badly she had thought this out. If she had at all, really. On the way towards zoning out as her friend, Diana, started talking about something or another, she noticed her falter and give a slightly panicked look. Trixie blinked in confusion, glancing at Matt, and then over her shoulder as she searched the crowd. And sure enough, she found a relatively tall looking man with blonde hair weaving his way through the crowd toward her. She blinked and turned quickly back around at the sight of an awkwardly familiar face. She shuffled anxiously as she tried, in her slightly tipsy state, to figure out a plan of action that would work. Edited at November 7, 2023 05:59 PM by Widow Valley Farms

you're all good, it made total sense!) - Matt had mostly been neutral about his time around Trixies friends, it wasn't like they were rude or mean in any way, and when he was spoken too he'd have no trouble replying. It was just tricky to not pile on some bounts of flirting as a way of conversation, because as far as he was concerned that worked much better than small talk. The drink was helping either. He looked down at Trixie after a couple words were exchanged with someone else, frowning at the slightly anxious demeanour that seemed to be hovering around her. "Are you okay?" He asked, taking his hair out of his eyes to get a better look at whatever she was looking at, which proved to be a mistake as his gaze caught onto a blonde guy clearly heading their way. "Who's that?" he asked, stepping aside quickly to let someone past.

Trixie glanced at him again at his question, then anxiously over her shoulder. "Just worried." She murmured, glancing off at the crowd, trying to find the fastest way to the door that didn't involve going through... her ex. The way they were positioned, there wasn't really one. Will kept right on moving through people, his eyes set firmly on Trixie. She shuffled closer to Matt, starting to fiddle anxiously with her fingers. "Will. An ex. We didn't break up on the most platonic terms. Well, you saw, so." She said, rambling only slightly. He was coming closer by the second and Trixie was beginning to panic more every second.

Matt wasn't quite sure of the feeling that spread through him when she mentioned her ex, but all in all he knew it wasn't anything pleasant. "Mhm" He mumbled, catching the eye of the blonde guy for a split second. "Why do you look as worried? Did he treat you badly or is it just the fact the break up was bad?" He asked, stumbling across his own words as the drink got the better of him, the tip of his tongue slightly numb. He definitely wasn't about to argue over a girl he had told he wasn't planning on dating, but part of him, the part fueled by alcohol, wanted to anyway.

"No, no he wasn't like that. The break up was just... rough." Trixie muttered, watching Will as he came within a few arms-length. Her brain was shifting quickly, and she turned to Matt a little urgently. "Kiss me." She stated, panicking slightly. She stepped up to him, chest to chest, and rested a hand gently on his arm.

Before Matt could reply to Trixies words, her demand sent some sort of flutter through him, though that was quickly engulfed by a feeling of slight annoyance. He didn't appreciate being used to avert ex boyfriends, but then again he didn't exactly have to care. As she touched his arm he smiled, cupping her face with his right hand, obstructing Trixies view of Will and pressed his lips gently to hers, his other hand sliding round her waist gently.

Trixie pressed her body into Matt's slightly, kissing him back and laying her free hand on his chest. She gave his arm a gentle, grateful squeeze and let the kiss linger for a signifigant while, until she almost couldn't hold it any longer. When she pulled back, it wasn't very far. Will looked somewhat perturbed by it, and maybe a little hesitant about talking to her now. Matt and Will were around the same height, but Will had much more of a lanky build. Fighting wasn't an option. She swallowed and glanced over at the other man, swallowing and offering a faint smile and a nod of recognition. He was, at least, at a loss for words.

Matt happily let Trixie linger in the kiss for as long as possible, and really he could have stayed there for however long, he enjoyed it. Whilst he was a little dissapointed the kiss ended, he did feel some joy looking at the expression of the other guy as he pulled away. He didn't think much of taking his arm away from Trixies waist, nor did he think much of speaking to the man. He sort of just..stared until any words were said.

Will shuffled from foot to foot somewhat anxiously, stepping closer to the pair and casting a wary glance at Matt before he settled his gaze on Trixie. Trixie tightened her grip ever so slightly on Matt's arm, watching Will hesitantly. W "Trixie, look... we need to talk. Will you- can you just come with me?" He asked quietly, his body turned in an attempt to keep Matt out of the conversation. He laid a hand lightly on her shoulder and Trixie tensed, opening her mouth to speak, but no words came out.
