Ajax groaned a little in plain mental agony as Mercy said she couldn't think of anyone similar. "You didn't HAVE to say Goose. You could have been like, *aw Ajax that is so sweet you should give compliments like that to me more* or something." He mumbled through his hands. "You could have said, *hmm, is this special girl perhaps sitting right next to you?* or something obvious like that." Ajax continued his grumbling until his hands got tugged away from his face. "That won't help me not be irritated and pained-" He managed to get it quickly before he was shut up by the kiss. Ajax slowly decided it was probably better to stop complaining and deal with what he had, so he didn't struggle too terribly much, although he still looked rather grumpy when Mercy pulled back. "But wow. Goose." Ajax pressed the matter with a slight eye roll.

Mercy mocked him in a squeaky voice as he spoke, her hand moving in the classic sign of someone speaking. She had hoped he would let it go once she kissed him, but of course he didn't. She huffed at him and flopped herself against his chest. "It made the most sense at the time. You seem pretty in love to me." She teased, letting out a dramatic sigh. "But I guess, from what you just said... I'm the love of your second life?" She mocked.

Ajax snapped his mouth shut and glared at Mercy in his rather famous *this is a death glare but I don't really dislike you I just want you to think I'm mad but im not* glare. Letting out a small huff as Mercy flopped down, Ajax refused to speak until spoken to. "I am starting to doubt your brain skills." He grouched, but his mouth twitched a little as he tried not to smile. "I am in love. NOT with Goose. AND THAT LOVE IS BEING SHAKEN TO ITS FOUNDATION." Ajax lifted his voice slightly to get the point across. At Mercy's last sentence he laughed drily and clapped, very very slowly. "Aw, Mercy figured it out. Two points to her." Ajax mocked her right back.

Mercy simply stared back at him with a sweet smile and a falsely innocent gaze, her head tilted slightly since eshe knew him too well to fall for his glare. "Rude. This is the love of your life you're speaking to." She teased, rolling her eyes at him as he continued. "You're really putting on a show, love." She scoffed playfully, giving him a grin. "That's two more than you, loser." She joked, pressing another kiss to his cheek anyway.

Ajax knew the glare wasn't working, wouldn't work, and was probably making it worse, so he dropped it. "And you JUST figured that out." He snorted teasingly, narrowing his eyes slightly. "My job Is to put on a show. Otherwise what good would I be." He asked drily, playfully swatting at Mercy because of her last comment. "Loser!? Is that what am to you?" Ajax sighed heavily, letting his head klunk back onto the deck. "So that's how everyone views me as. A loser." He mused with a mournful whimper.

Mercy huffed at him. "You'd be good to me." She responded quietly, rolling her eyes at him as he continued his antics. "I was kidding. Would you rather I call you baby? Sweetheart? Sweetie-pie?" She offered teasingly, huffing at him and moving to lay on top of him. She planted gentle kisses everywhere on his face, murmuring gently between them. "I'm sorry, mister dramatic." She teased softly. "How ever could I make it up to you?"

(Forget Italy. After that Ajax's brain probably flew to Pluto)

Ajax winced at each name, quickly raising a hand in defense. "Yikes, no. I would die so much faster." He answered dramatically, knowing that as soon as Mercy got too close his brain went toddlers and flew off to a different solar system. "You know, I'm feeling pretty forgiving right now." Ajax joked quietly, kissing Mercy's cheek. "Plus who could ever stay mad at that face for long? It would be a workout." He whispered the joke, his eyes twinkling with contained laughter.

Mercy chuckled softly at him for his comment, scoffing at him. "You're already dead. Dying twice is a lot for one person." She joked, blinking once in surprise as he kissed her cheek. Yet another first. "Good." She managed softly, smiling down at him. "You don't need the exercise, may as well just be happy with me." She teased quietly, pressing her lips to his again.

(I know, right? Especially for his brain that doesn't even function in the first place :) )

Ajax thought about that for a moment. "I could totally do it." He joked at last, his mock session of thought broken by Mercy's look of surprise. "I'm doing quite well at shocking you... 2 points for me. I guess no one is the loser now." Ajax teased with a grin, chuckling softly at her words. "I'm always happy with you. Deep down." He smiled as well, closing his eyes to enjoy the precious moment. One thing came to him that made him just want to sing for joy. The fact that if he wasn't killed by another angel or demon, he could live with Mercy for infinite. Sounded like the perfect retirement plan to him. "I do have to mention however, you are even more clingy right now than usual. *cough cough* , not that I'm complaining." Ajax copied her words with a muffled laugh, his lips curling into a grin.

"I have no doubt that you could. Please don't, though." Mercy said jokingly, chuckling as he continued. "Fine." She huffed playfully, laying her head down against his chest and closing her eyes to listen to him. She let out and indignant huff and sat up straight when he spoke. "So do you... want me to be clingy or not?" She asked suspiciously, narrowing her eyes down at him.
