Sage glanced over at Quinn when she spoke up and nodded with a light him. "I slept alright," he told her. When she settled down next to him, he shifted so he was leaning against her leg before settling down again with a slight huff of air. "I meant to thank you, but by the time I remembered I was already falling asleep," he half chuckled. "But thanks. It was helpful."

"That's... good. And there's no need to thank me." Quinn smiled, her voice soft. She was tired... but felt happy that Sage did sleep after that. She stared out at the horses and the river, a gentle smile on her face. This was nice... sitting here. If only her brain didn't try to go higher than high gear.

Sage hummed lightly and then gave her a curious look when she said he didn't have to apologize. "But I should," he protested. "It annoying to get woken up and then made do something, even if it's just talking." He huffed out a breath and shook his head, resting it on his arms. "I'm a pain to be around, yet somehow you manage to enjoy some of it." He wondered how she did it ...why she even liked him, at all.

Quinn looked a,axed. "Wow Sage, listen to yourself. You are NOT a pain to be around, it really isn't my pleasure. You are a great guy, and I just don't know how you don't see that." She smiled, shaking her head slightly. "I don't just enjoy some of it, I enjoy all of it. Every second I spend with you is precious, so stop saying stuff like that." Quinn huffed back... but she meant every single word.

Sage hummed in response to the girls comments, looking over at her rather doubtfully. But...she was telling the truth. He just didn't know why she liked him, of all people. "I'm not going to argue with you," he finally half chuckled. "I just don't understand all of this yet," he murmured. He'd never loved anyone before, never had a good relationship with anyone but Chaos and the spider. So this was odd. Nice, but odd.

"Oh good... I think my cunningness is growing on you." Quinn teased. Really, she was relived Sage wasn't going to try to argue. She had given him compliments, he should take them. "You don't have to understand it you just have to appreciate it." Quinn chuckled, pushing some hair out of her face.

Sage chuckled lightly at the girl's comments and rolled his eyes. "Maybe you're growing my brain cells," he chuckled. He hummed at her second comment and shrugged. "It's easier on my head."

Quinn laughed, smiling at Sage. "Just remember, I'm amazing and you just have to be okay back. It's not that hard." She teased. Quinn watched the horses graze side by side. She resisted saying something to Sahara about Chaos... mostly because she knew the horse would have a good comebacks.

Sage rolled his eyes but chuckled in response to the girl's first comment. "Well, I can't say that you're not amazing or you might not like me so much after," he joked lightly, giving the girl a rather sly grin. He did feel better, and knowing that the girl didn't think anything less of him after seeing him freak out a bit was definitely helpful.

Quinn looked at Sage teasingly. "Oh come on, you know I'll always like you... insults or not." She chuckled. "And I'm glad you are feeling better... keep feeling this way and I'll like you more." Quinn joked, shifting a little closer to him. Sage really did make her feel very safe and happy, and that was worth it
