Maxine smiled and gave a nod as she put Charlie in her bouncer and went out to the car "Ok!" she called. When she came back in and saw Sage she giggled "working hard I see?" she smiled looking him up and down before kissing him "Good i'm glad." she cooed happily "Thank you Sage." she smiled as they went out for another load.

Sage giggled and got a goofy grin on his face when she kissed him before ambling out to grab some more bags. Once that was done, he told Max he was going to hop in the shower before dinner and grabbed a different outfit to throw on after. He showered quickly, and since it was warm out still, he threw his normal black jeans on but left the shirt unbuttoned. Neitherac or Charlie would mind...if anything it might excite max a bit and they could have a bit of fun after Charlie was asleep. Their fun earlier hadn't lasted very long...he'd loved it of course, but if he could get more love from the girl, he was definitely going to try and get it.

Max smirked at him and let him grab the rest of the groceries whilst she started putting them away in the kitchen. After he was done she nodded "Alright I'll start dinner in a second." she assured him after putting the last of the groceries away before she got started on their dinner whilst Charlie happily bounced in her bouncer, tonight she did some simple mac and cheese with sausage but she brought some cupcakes home for later because Sage had been working so hard. When he came out of the shower she smiled at him "Dinner's almost done." she assured him happily.

Sage smiled at Max when she told him dinner was ready and gave a funny little wave to Charlie and made a funny face, which resulted in a giggle from the girl. "Good, I'm starving," he chuckled in response to Max's comment about dinner being ready and slid into a chair, picking up Charlie to play with her until dinner was ready.

Max gave a laugh and set out dinner for the two of them "There's more on the stove and i'm sure there will be left overs." she assured him sitting down at the table and smiling at Charlie as she ate "I can't wait to see how far you got babe... you looked like you'd been working hard." she admitted.

Sage glanced over at Max and nodded in response to her first comment and opened his mouth to respond, though he never got the chance because Charlie decided to grab his earring and yank his head over. He squeaked, and admittedly, almost fell off the chair in surprise, though he caught himself and untangled his ear from the girls chubby fingers with a chuckle. Then he looked back over at Max and shrugged. "I'll probably have Charlie's room done by the end of the week, depending how much you let me work on the birthday you set up."

Max held back her laughter "Maybe you should stop wearing earrings for now?" She suggested watching the two of them "Charlie naughty girl don't pull on daddy's earring..." She smirked before looking at him with a raised brow "What do you mean?" She asked curiously pulling out her phone and checking her calendar "Ohhh thaaat..." She said "Damn I didn't realize it was so close..." She said trying to keep her heartbeat steady. After Sage's birthday ill do a skip I'm thinking like 6 months or so.) Sage snorted and shook his head in amusement. 'might be a smart idea," he admitted with a chuckle. Sage gave the girl an amused look when she pretended not to know when his new birthday was...she'd set it up, she knew about it. Besides, he could tell she had something planned...he knew her well enough by now to read her facial expressions. (Lol alrighty sounds good)

Max laughed "Maybe... at least it'll save your ears a bit..." She pointed out before she offered an innocent smile chuckling as Charlie reached up for her dad's earring again "OK ok Charlie come here so daddy can eat in peace." She chuckled scooping up the little girl and sitting her on her lap so Sage could eat in peace. When Sage's birthday arrived she got up early with Charlie as usual, after she fed her she started on Sages breakfast, wrapped his present and tucked the card underneath the yarn (which she commonly used in her art for certain things) that she'd used to tie a bow around the wrapped gift. She wanted to make this special for Sage (considering that despite his age it was his first birthday... and this was the first surprise she was able to plan a bit in advance.) so she even put up a few decorations and dressed her and Charlie all before he even got up... now she was putting the finishing touches on breakfast while she waited for her husband

Sage chuckled and nodded, handing Charlie off to Max. He loved the girl, but it was nice to eat without almost getting his ear yanked out of his head every time he lost focus. When he woke up and saw decorations, he was confused for a moment before remembering that Max had set his birthday for this date. No doubt she had some big thing planned, and would be excited to spoil him a bit, especially since he knew she knew he'd been working hard to expand the house. He groaned and rolled over, burying his head in the pillow, and lay there for a few more minutes before he smelled breakfast. It was enough to get him to haul himself out of bed with a yawn and stretch before padding into the kitchen to slide into a chair and murmur a sort of sleepy good morning to Max and Charlie. He wasn't really sure what to expect...he'd never celebrated his birthday before, and while he'd given Max presents and spoiled her a bit on her birthday, he really had no idea what he was doing or what Max had planned.
