Regan chuckled to him after a moment or two and shook her head. "Oh, Tyler, that took you far too long," she told him with a bit of a laugh. It did amuse her... she thought it seemed fairly obvious. It just seemed sweet that he didn't have a clue what she meant until then. "I always thought you were quite bright, Ty...ler. Do I need to rethink that?" She asked with a bit of a laugh. She just let him start to talk about his song... it was probably a very good song, but she just wasn't very musical... but it was nice to hear him talk about something he liked so much. There didn't seem to be anything else he liked, so the way he lit up when he even mentioned music of any kind brought a smile to her face. "Well, do you have a disc.. or a tape of it?" She asked curiously. There were a

few bits and bobs around, and they'd probably find a way to play it if they had a record of it. She chuckled at him before shaking her head. "Yeah, they do that sometimes! Have you not seen them running about?" She teased with a slight shake of the head.

Tyler, not obviously, knew what Regan meant from the very beginning. He just liked to play this way because that's the way most people saw him... as an idiot. Then he could come up from behind and laugh at them as they stared at him like he was crazy smart. -my brain works In weird ways- Tyler thought. "Oh no, you don't." He answered reassuringly with a slight chuckle. "I do, actually. Here..." Tyler rummaged around in his bag for a second before pulling out a disk. "Have a player?" He asked, a grin forming on his face at Regan's last comment. "No, as a matter of fact I haven't." He snorted

Regan hummed for a moment before tilting her head, her fingers on her chin to accentuate her teasing thoughtfulness... she knew he wasn't dim. He was probably one of the more clever people she knew, actually... but she could tease all the same. "Really? You're not being very convincing, you know," she mused lightly to the boy. She grabbed the plates and went to wash them up, her smile gentling when he said he had a record of sorts of it. - Of course you do...- she thought with a small smile, knowing he was the kind of person to have those sorts of things on him... and she certainly wasn't upset about it. It made him exactly who he was, and she would t change him for the world. "Yeah... there's a cupboard in the corner filled with old things. There might be a CD player, if you're lucky," she chirped to him. She then turned to him with a gaping mouth. "Really?! I see them all the time. It's odd that you haven't. They're normally in little flocks," she teased him lightly.

Tyler rolled his eyes at her first comment, standing up to put away different things that he could. At her instructions he went over to the cupboard, searching through it until he found a CD player. Thankfully it worked, so Tyler set it on the table for a little later. He probably had hundreds of discs in his backpack, so Regan would probably get bored listening to music. -Perfect- Tyler thought with a slight chuckle. At her last comment his raised his eyebrows, then put a mournful expression on his face. "Oh, Regan you poor thing. I know what's going on. It must be so hard to have hallucinations..." Tyler mused, a grin splitting his face soon thereafter

Regan smiled happily when she saw that he'd found the CD player... and even more happy that it'd worked. That thing had to be at least ten years old. And she was happy that he could share something he loved with her. It seemed hard to connect with people out here... but the two of them were tryingc and it was very nice... they were two very different people. If they had met outside of this whole thing, when everything was normal, they probably wouldn't have even thought to talk to one another. If they had, they'd probably just hate one another. Or strongly dislike, would be another word. But, they had been forced to get along during all this, and she was coming to to find that she didn't a actually care... she quite liked him, the way he was. She gasped at his muse, her jaw gaping open once more. "No, Tyler, they're really here!" She insisted, struggling to hold back a laugh. "They grow legs and run from the pans to go back to their families, don't you know that?" She continued, rather amused at how ridiculous she sounded.

Tyler spent the next couple minutes trying to fix a small problem with the CD player... it turned on, but the disc wouldn't go in. He finally got some dirt out, blowing some dust out as well. Then Tyler tried it again, and this time a scratchy recording of Humble and Kind started playing. He paused it for the time being, a triumphant smile on his face. At Regan's words Tyler wrinkled his brow, looking at her like she was crazy. "Oookay then. You are hallucinating." He agreed with himself and offered a teasing smile before turning back to fiddle with the CD player And see how it worked. He could tell it was older...

Regan wrinkled her nose at him before huffing out a disappointed breath. "I can't believe you. Thinking I'm hallucinating like a freak," she gobbed at him before shaking her head. She was just teasing, and he knew that... but she'd have to keep this mushroom thing going now. She patted over to the window and pointed. "Look, there's a flock of them now!" She joked to him. When she heard the player going for a few seconds she grinned and turned to him, gently poking him in the ribs. "Play it for me," she asked with a happy sounding smile.

"At this point, I can't believe me either." Tyler said in a weak voice, his face rather hopeless. As Regan pointed Tyler stared at her for a moment, then shook his head. "Lost cause..." he mumbled under his breath, chuckling slightly. When she poked him in the ribs he glanced at the player, then turned it on. "Okay then. Listening to music is better than going crazy, so let's do it." Tyler spoke the first part but kind of half mumbled the second with a teasing grin on his face. He reminded it back to the beginning and played it, so finally Humble and Kind started playing again

Regan gasped at him once more before pouting. "Don't call me a lost cause. You're the reason I'm still here, so it's your fault I'm a lost cause, if anything," she mused lightly to the boy. When he played the sound, she hummed thoughtfully. "Again, not my kind of thing," she mused lightly to him. "Buuut not bad," she mused lightly. She grabbed an old country tape, with at least ten songs on there and handed it to him. "Put that one on for a while. We need background music while you berate me and call me crazy," she told him with a bit of a laugh before finishing up her cleaning.

At Regan's gasp Tyler snorted slightly, turning it into a half cough that sounded really weird. "Okay then." He responded with a restrained smile, nodding when she commented on the song. Tyler tipped his head as she handed him the tape, glancing at it. Well, he wasn't going to complain. He took the song out and put the track in, knowing full well that most of the songs were by Toby Keith. -Old country = Toby Keith- Tyler thought with a slight chuckle, though there was some Alan Jackson and Trace Adkins in there as well.
