Aria nodded. "I love you." She murmured happily, trying to soothe him before the war came. She wandered down to the kitchen and grabbed him some food. He needed to eat.

Sage smiled over at Aria. "I love you too," he hummed. He closed his eyes again once she left, hugging the now sleeping Caroline on his chest. He wasn't sleeping, just resting there.

Aria brough Sage some food, and took Caroline from him so she could feed her. The girl sat in the chair next to the bed and fed Caroline her bottle. She looked over at Sage and smiled softly.

Sage opened his eyes when Aria came back in and sat up when she took Caroline from him. He still wasn't really up for food...he just wasn't hungry....but Aria had brought him food, so he forced some of it down his throat before leaving the rest on the plate and setting it on the table next to the bed before flopping down again.

Aria sighed, slouching down in her chair. Caroline had fallen asleep and it was up to Aria to keep her busy after she woke up. The girl got up and walked outside. The castle grounds were really pretty, and she noticed Axel grazing out in the pasture.

Sage sort of just lay on the bed before deciding he should probably get some work done. He sat down at his desk with a sigh and tried to get at least something done, but no matter how hard he tried to think he just couldn't...it was like his brain was in a thick fog. He leaned back in his chair, and closed his eyes, and ended up falling asleep, pencil still in hand.

Aria whistled for Axel, and he trotted over to the fence. Aria beamed, petting his nose softly. Caroline woke up to Axel's nose sniffing her face. She giggled and cooed, trying to grab his nose playfully. Aria grinned at the sight of her daughter playing with her horse. It was cute. She wondered if Sage was okay. He needed a break from them, to gather his thoughts.

Sage ended up just....sleeping on his chair. He had his pen in one hand, and a paper under the other, which was resting on his desk. He was flopped back in his chair, but sinking into it the longer he lay there. He wasn't normally this tired, so it was a bit odd...but he supposed he had just learned that his child had died.

Aria eventually wandered back into the castle. She sometimes wondered if Sage really loved her... He was so sad about their baby, that he acted not like... Sage. She didn't know this new Sage. She liked the old one better. The girl walked into Caroline's room and laid her in her bed for a nap. She then slowly wandered into her own bedroom, where Sage was sleeping... again. It was cute though, seeing the pen in his hand. She carefully took it from his hand and set it on the desk, kissing his cheek softly.

Sage shifted slightly when Aria took the pen out of his hand, though he didn't wake up. He supposed this all just took a lot of energy. And, he admittedly hadn't been sleeping well either...hed spent most of his nights up and just....thinking. which really wants a good thing.
